Sky's Hideaway is the place to stay this summer for a relaxing time in the smokie mountains. A cozy 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin that is nestled in the wooded hills between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is the perfect place for a getaway vacation. Located less then 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 15 minutes to Gatlinburg makes Sky’s Hideaway a relaxing retreat from a day of shopping, sightseeing or enjoying the areas entertainment.
The Space
Sky’s hideaway is the perfect place for couple or small families as it comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. The main floor consists of the dining table and living room with a large fireplace for those cool fall and winter days. Relax on the sofa or love seat as you watch one of the streaming smart TVs that you can log into your own account and enjoy the same TV you have at home. The downstairs bedroom features a new queen size bed with foam mattress for a relaxing night sleep and a full bathroom with access from both the bedroom and the kitchen area. You will have a fully stocked kitchen at your disposal to prepare a delicious meal or the outside grill is available just bring food, charcoal and a lighter. Like to cook then you have access to a loaded kitchen including the standard cooking items along with basic spices, crockpot, hand mixer, toaster, coffee pot, Keurig K cup, mixing bowls, blender and pots and pans. A full size washer and dryer is off of the kitchen in case you need to wash and dry a load of laundry during your stay. Relax on the fully screened in back porch with a cup of coffee in either the gliders or rocking chairs while someone enjoys the 4 person hot tub. The sofa pulls out to a queen sleeper mattress to finish the sleeping of 6 in the cabin.
Upstairs you will find a spacious bedroom with a King size bed that has a brand new foam mattress for a restful night sleep along with a second smart TV that you can relax and watch a show on the 55 inch Roku enabled streaming TV. A full bathroom along with a full size Jacuzzi tub awaits you across from a gas fireplace to complete your stay at sky’s Hideaway.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire cabin during you stay! You will receive your personal door code, check in instructions and exact address messaged to you 72 hour before your stay. We are owner operated! No meetings for keys or code just arrive at the cabin and enjoy.
The Access to the cabin is up a STEEP hill. It is 1156.5 feet of around a 20% up grade and is accessible by any 2WD or 4WD vehicle (subject to snow and ice). This cabin may not be for you if you are scared of mountain driving. As individual cabin owners we are not responsible for the roads during the winter and do not provide towing, snow plowing or snow removal services. If you feel you may have winter travel concerns we suggest purchasing Cancellation Insurance through a independent provider at the time of booking for added peace of mind.
Other things to note
Property has security cameras on the front porch and side above the parking area. The cameras view is the front entrance and parking area. Cameral is for security to protect our property when it is unoccupied and to verify occupancy.
Due to allergies of both the owner and their kids pets are NOT allowed. If you sneak in a pet of any kind you will be charged an additional $100 and asked to leave without a refund.
There is enough parking spaces for 2 vehicles.
There are 2 smart TV’s with Roku enabled streaming with apps. Bring your own login and password for your favorite steaming service i.e. Netflix, Disney and Hulu as cable is not available in this area.
We have equipped the cabin with cellular internet via Wi-Fi and a mesh router system. While we have had very good luck steaming both TV’s and a iPad all at the same time it can be spotty so be aware of this fact. You will have access to the Wi-Fi during your stay for personal devises.
ATT phone service is strong in this area but Verizon has a weak signal so be prepared for that which is one reason we provided Cellular internet for the cabin for guest use.
We have a starter items for your stay which includes laundry pods, dishwashing pods, bar soap Toilet paper and paper towels but you may need to obtain more for a extended or longer stay.
The fireplace is shut down April 1 to October 1 as is with most cabins in the area.
Do not leave food inside of your vehicles and keep cars locked. Bears in this area know how to open car doors and will climb inside your vehicles if left unlocked.
This cabin is known to have BEAR ACCTIVITY so always be careful when going out the front door and make sure there are no bears hanging about. Please do not feed the bears no matter what they tell you.
Use the bear proof garbage cans for trash to keep from attracting bears to the area.
House water if via a well so we have a Britta filter in the refrigerator is you are concerned about the fresh from the earth water.
This cabin is in the forest and you will likely see bugs, mice, and furry critters. We do maintain the property with regular pest control but due to the surroundings, or if doors are left open and food is left outside this can attract unwanted critters.
