Swift Little House is conveniently located near many San Diego attractions. We personally enjoy the attractions that many locals love: farmers markets, pop-up shops, local art work, coffee shops, and secret hikes. Luckily Swift Little House is the prime location for those too!
The interior design of the home is intended to be both cozy and super inviting while still appearing to be plucked from a San Diego design mag.
The inviting side yard is large enough for games and offers a shaded seating area under a grapevine, you'll also find delicious white mulberry and dragon fruit (seasonally). Your host has lovingly filled the yard with flowering succulents of all varieties.
We have been working toward cultivating a landscape that is welcoming to the many hummingbirds and bees we have around the property. These critters are all very docile and will not cause you any harm.
We currently offer free street parking.

Visited my youngest son with my oldest son and family. Outdoor space was great. Small but had all we needed. And nicely decorated. Good location. Washer and dryer.
Lovely cottage - clean and sunny, fun decor - with all the amenities needed - wifi, TVs, HULU, and lots of outdoor space. We were there in winter so didn't get to take advantage of lovely garden and outdoor space. There is no parking, and a steep climb to front door, so we double-parked to unload luggage and groceries and bring up my 80 year old husband (I little tough but he made it many times). Our grandkids loved the bunkbed room! The owners were very accommodating and checked in with us regularly. We reported a broken shower which they said they would fix. If you are staying in Northpark this is a great place.
This property was a great choice if you’re staying in the San Diego area! Close to the attractions we were visiting (the zoo, La Jolla, Torrey Pines). The street was right off of a busy highway and had suspicious characters at the end camping out, so that was somewhat unnerving especially with little ones. That however did not take away from the lovely house.
My little ones LOVED the bunk bed room! The toys and children books were a nice touch and kept them busy.
Everything was very clean and I felt very comfortable. I’d say maybe it’s time to replace the shower curtain liner as it was starting to turn color at the bottom.
The side yard was a great place to have our morning coffee and evening cocktails! Very relaxing and fun for the kids as well!
I very much appreciated the on-site laundry offered. We traveled across country and wanted to pack light so doing laundry was important. The kitchen was a nice size and very clean. I wish there were more cooking supplies. We tried making a box of pasta and there wasn’t a pot or strainer big enough. This was no big deal, we made due but just a suggestion for the future renters!
The host, Chantall was great and was in constant communication!
Overall I would definitely recommend this house for your San Diego visit!
Thank you for a great stay!!
This place really felt like home upon entering. We appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms. We truly enjoyed the bedrooms and we're able to rest after busy days around the city. We had no trouble in finding street parking in front of the place or nearby. Our host was communicative and attentive to everything we could need. I definitely recommend this place for families or small groups (we were 4 adults and 1 10-year-old girl), we all had a very pleasant stay.
If we need a place in San Diego, i will surely look again for this home to stay in again.

Not yet ready for prime time
Very uncomfortable mattresses resulted in little sleep. There are 18 cement and uneven wooden stairs to enter/exit. Watch out for the higher last step! The bunk room had no full-size blankets for adults sleeping in that room. The shower hot water regulator is inconsistent. The fridge buzzed loudly and had a lukewarm interior. On-street parking required us to park each night on adjacent streets rather than nearby.
Fortunately, these things can be fixed or planned around. The location is excellent and the owners seem to care. I wish them luck as they learn.
Chantall was a great host-always quick to respond and very accommodating. A group of friends and I stayed here for a couple weeks and the house was perfect for our needs. The internet was fast which was great since we were all working from home! Access to a washer/dryer was super helpful since we had a long stay.

About the host
Hosted by Chantall Harris
Hey there! I'm Chantall, my husband Ricky and I bought this sweet 100 year old home two and a half years ago and spent quite some time renovating it as our passion project, this beautiful NorthPark bungalow is our first home and we have poured our hearts into making it a beautiful and welcoming space. We still live in the neighborhood (just about 20 feet away).
We relocated to San Diego after undergrad from the north east and never looked back. Now, I work in Aerospace and run a home design and decor business. We are adventure seekers and love, hiking, kayaking, hitting the beach and climbing with our 3 kids. I'm also a big fan of coffee shops and our neighborhood has some great options. We can't wait to host you!
Why they chose this property
This house is perfect for families wanting to visit all of San Diego's main attractions, it's situated close to freeways and within 15 minutes from the zoo, beaches, sea world, hiking, shopping, restaurants and bars. Our neighborhood is eclectic, diverse and lively but the house is elevated off the street making it feel private and quiet.
