## Neighborhood
Lyon is renowned for its dining scene, with its famous "bouchons" and a wide range of Michelin-starred restaurants. You’ll also find many boats on the Rhône that offer delightful dining experiences in a charming setting.
Right in the city center, surrounded by typical Lyonnais buildings, you’ll be near Place des Jacobins, the renowned Place Bellecour, and, in summer, my favorite spot—the banks of the Saône River—perfect for warm evenings with a view of the medieval Vieux Lyon and the Basilica of Fourvière.
My Recommendations:
Feel free to contact me for more personalized suggestions!
Great bakeries/desserts:
Le Pain des Jacobins: Delicious and close by
Boulangerie du Palais: Known for its praline desserts
Pralus: The famous praline brioche—highly recommended!
Some typical restaurants and bars:
La Brasserie Georges: A true institution! Known for sauerkraut and craft beers
Café du Rhône: Bar with traditional and modern local cuisine, listed as a historic site
La Madone: A lively bar with a terrace and regular DJs. Great for aperitifs. Football matches are broadcasted.
Abel: For the famous Lyon quenelle. Reservations recommended.
L'Ourson qui boit: Excellent restaurant (reservations required).
Les Muses de l'Opéra: Perfect for a drink with a stunning view of Lyon from atop the Opera.
La Cuisine: Traditional restaurant and bar
La Cave des Voyageurs (Vieux Lyon district): Wine tasting, small producers, and great appetizer boards
Rhône-side boats: Terrace bars on the river for a relaxed drink
