About this property

Lake Retreat on Burt Lake

Beautiful setting and quiet neighborhood on the north east bay of Burt Lake. An all sports lake attached to the inland waterway. You will feel at home with the comfortable and clean surroundings. Private cottage and outdoor space. Perfect sunsets right out the back door. Nestled in the beauty of Northern Michigan.

Easy to find with an open kitchen with clear views of the water. Enough space to enjoy the outdoors. Boat dock is available for your needs.

The house has 4 bedrooms - in the master a king bed and a full-size daybed with a twin trundle. Then a queen, another queen attached to a walk through 1/2 bath, and the last bedroom has a twin over full bunk. The living room has leather furniture, and the "Michigan room" has sleeper sofa and a "CordaRoys” full bed (as seen on SharkTank). The room between the garage and the house (much like a breezeway) is heated and has a couch & loveseat as well as a large table for playing cards and/or hanging out.

Awesome place
Home was prefect for a large family, very clean, communication with owner was very good, Lake is beautiful. Lake is shallow for quite a distance & very clear, grandchildren were very relaxed swimming & playing in water. Prefect location for visiting Mackinac, hiking & visiting sandy, clean beaches on Lake Huron. Felt pictures did not do justice to show how warm & inviting the home is. Our 9 year old grandson told us this an awesome place… can we come back😀. Thank you.

Family gathering at Burt Lake
We had a very fun time at Burt Lake. Our daughter's have a place on the lake very close to this rental house. This made it so convenient to go back and forth. The house was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was amazing.

The house is spacious, very clean and well stocked with everything you need, the game room was an unexpected bonus. The boat dock was great for our 2 boats, cannot say enough about the location, beach was perfect for floating and for our 4 yr old granddaughter to play. Neighbors were great. It is only a short drive to a grocery store, shopping and ice cream! We are already looking for the week next summer that works and are hoping this house is available!

Such a beautiful property!! Everything was provided and easy to find. Could have been a bit cleaner. We had to wash all the outdoor chairs. If the mayflies hadn’t invaded it would have been perfect.

Great place to stay, love the sun room and game rooms! Dock was perfect to tie up the pontoon boat overnight. The bay is very calm and shallow. Be aware there is no boat-access gas station except for all the way on the south end of the lake off Indian river. Not the fault of the property just something to be aware of if you have jet skis.

Wonderful Lake House
Beautiful view in a calm bay, awesome sun room, game room, big garage for boat trailer. My only complaint is that their was maybe a single roll of toilet paper combined across the whole house when we arrived, which is a real issue when ten people arrive from long drives. We were obligated to go to store right away to stock the house. I messaged owner to ask if we were missing it but she didn’t respond.

Had a great stay! Located on a quiet street and a quiet section of the lake. The house had great space for our group of 11. It was nice having multiple spaces that allowed for gathering at night.

We all had such fun and enjoyed our stay. We were to bring our boat and tie up to dock. So fishing, boating and tubing were easy to do from this location.

Beautiful, peaceful corner of Burt Lake
Our family had a wonderful week in this lakefront cottage, despite 2 days of rain. It’s on a quiet cove, out of the wind. Well located for our purposes. We enjoyed dinners at local restaurants, bowling on one rainy day, boating, tubing, fishing, much swimming, cornhole, basketball, baseball, and grilling.

Burt Lake Getaway
Enjoyed this house, as it was located in a peaceful setting at the end of the road. Kept our boat at the dock for a couple boat rides on Burt Lake. Also, enjoyed quiet time on the porch facing the lake. Had a couple fires in the lakeside firepit. The kitchen worked out well for us, as well as the sleeping arrangements. We were able to do a pontoon boat ride on the inland water route across Burt Lake, up the Crooked River over to Crooked Lake and back. Even stopped at the docks in Alanson and hit Bob’s Place for lunch. Overall, just a nice, peaceful time at this house and the surrounding area.

This property exceeded our expectations! It was super clean when we arrived. There was plenty of room for everyone in our family, with even enough room to have privacy when we needed it. The outside area was so comfortable and fun. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything we needed to cook some fun dinners. Loved the location in proximity to the towns around. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
