Nice spot that needed work
Pretty good location, not that far from the beach. Quaint complex, with nice pool (very cloudy for the first couple of days, but clean after that), enough loungers and shaded areas. Far enough from the busy streets that traffic noise was not a problem, and most of the clientele were Canadian, so they were quiet and polite. There's a little super mercado maybe 10 minutes walk away - certainly pricier than Jumbo or a larger market - that is well stocked and all you need. The unit we stayed in was spacious, but dated. There were a lot of smaller issues, such as the shower spraying water everywhere, sliding doors that wouldn't slide, windows that wouldn't lock and cupboard doors that wouldn't close. I fixed as many of these issues as I could while there, given the limited tools and supplies I could find. A "hardware store" is a foreign concept, and I have quite the story about trying to find a single nut and bolt to fix the master bedroom window so it would lock. Unlike some accommodations, don't expect to find any food supplies, such as coffee, sugar, spices etc. when you get there. All in all, a pleasant enough stay.
