Not a Good Experience- very disappointing experience and host

Not a Good Experience – Poor Communication and Service I had a very disappointing experience with a VRBO rental. On the day of my scheduled arrival, the property owner called to inform me that the apartment wasn’t cleaned and that she couldn’t arrange for a cleaner. As a result, she canceled the first night of my stay. The next day, I was further delayed from checking in because she needed more time to clean the property herself. I requested a refund for the two nights that were impacted (the canceled first night and the late check-in the second day). Initially, the owner agreed and promised a refund. However, she later denied the events altogether, claiming she could “get in trouble” if she admitted to canceling. I tried resolving this through both the owner and VRBO’s customer service, but neither provided any resolution. This experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I expected VRBO to take accountability for ensuring property owners provide the service promised, but my issue was ignored. I would caution others to think twice about booking through VRBO, as their support in situations like this seems lacking.

No os alojeis en este apartamento!

Viajé con mi marido y mis 3 hijos adolescentes. El anunció ponía que era para 6 personas y que el alojamiento consta de 2 habitaciones dobles mas el sofa MENTIRA! Solo hay una habitación (aunque en el anuncio aparecen 2 fotografias que hacen ver que son 2 habitaciones diferentes pero es la misma habitación, una foto está hecha con el cabezal en la pared azul y la otra foto simplemente han puesto el cabezal en la pared blanca para que parezca otra). Mis hijos tuvieron que dormir LOS TRES EN EL SOFA que, por supuesto, no cabían y tuvimos que poner 3 sillas para los pies. Además, la propietaria (Emelie Roberts) no se puso en contacto con nosotros los dias previos, tal y como exige la plataforma Vrbo. Cuando llegamos, allí no habia nadie, la Sra. Emelie no cogía el telefono, finalmente lo cogió y dijo que se retrasaba. Nosotros empezamos a pensar que era una ESTAFA y nos asustamos porque estabamos en Paris, en invierno, con 3 menores y sin alojamiento. Pasamos la tarde reclamando a Vrbo sin que nos dieran ninguna solución. Finalmente el Check-in que era a las 15 horas lo hicimos a las 21:30 h y además la direccion del anuncio no es correcta.
