Please don't stop reading until the end...
It is important to note at the onset: We ended up staying only 1 of the 6 nights we had booked at Marcela's condo. The reason being is that there were too many issues with the property and we were only going to be there for a short time and we had paid a lot for the room. All of the issues were/are fixable, and I'd guess that she's already fixed them, but we didn't have the luxury of time and we wanted to fully enjoy vacation, so we moved out on day 2.
Issues were: no hot water, dirty sheets, spotty internet in the room, broken faucets, an open window in bathroom that wouldn't shut, and broken toilet seats. Again, all of these are fixable, but we couldn't wait around given the brevity of our stay. And frankly no one should have to deal with that many issues.
To her credit, Marcela was sincerely apologetic. She seemed caught off-guard by the state of the condo and seemed embarrassed. She refunded us roughly two-thirds of our full payment.
Aside from those issues, Marcela's place is as depicted in the pictures. The balcony is great, the living area is nice, the kitchen is clean (assuming they fix the kitchen faucet).
About Bay View Grand: 1) it's literally right next to the airport runway. Any departures fly right by the hotel; 2) property is nice as is pool (though no hot tub); 3) we didn't love the food at the pool or the pool drinks; 4) if you have AT&T, you get really, really poor reception in the pool area (like none even though you're showing 3 bars);
