Perfect for our family of five!
We loved our stay at Marina’s loft! Our family included two adults and then our three small kids. Marina left every detail taken care of. There were even toys in the kids room! We found Uber to be most convenient for our family and took the tube once. The tube is a 10-15 min walk with little kids. That said, we explored every inch of London in our 8 day stay. Marina’s home is beautiful, cozy and relaxing. It was the perfect place to come home to after a long day of exploring in London!

great home for a family gathering
My family all converged on London form various points in the globe, to celebrate a special event. The home was perfect for this purpose, everyone had room to spread out and have their own space. The home is very well appointed in every area, great Location, very quiet and private. The home is full of interesting Art and books and has a wonderful atmosphere, which is very welcoming. Marina went above and beyond as a host.

Cozy and Elegant
We wanted to experience London like locals and this was the perfect location to call home. The house is well appointed and maintained and accommodated our family perfectly. I wish the main floor had a restroom but otherwise we were all comfortable and had our space. Marina was very communicative and always available if we had any questions. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home with convenient location
Just wrapped up a delightful stay in this well-appointed home. Every amenity is provided, from high quality linens to top of the line appliances. Everything you will need can be found. The house has a well-curated, upscale bohemian aesthetic with an enviable collection of art books for perusing. This is clearly the home of someone with an eye for design — we appreciated the clever and beautiful objets to be found throughout. Easy communication with owner. The location is a 10 minute walk to lively walking/shopping area of Portobello Road. The neighborhood felt very safe and we allowed our teenage girls to jog unchaperoned in a nearby park. Very friendly neighborhood businesses and we felt very welcomed. Close to bus and tube station. Home opens in back onto an open community park and has great light throughout. Couldn’t be happier with rental and wish we could return. This is a true gem.

Great Apartment in a very Interesting part of London
For our family trip to London this year we were interested to stay in a new part of London that we hadn’t had a lot of exposure to. Marina’s loft in the Nottingham shill area close to Portobello road was fantastic! Lots to see and experience around Portobello road and every restaurant we visited was wonderful. Great Food! The loft itself is very spacious and clean as described plus very interestingly contented with artwork and literature..a very interesting place. In the end we found Ladbroke Grove tube less convenient than booking a taxi online that came right to the door (Addison lee was fantastic)..all in all a great experience made possible by a great apartment in a nice quiet area..i would recommend it!

This home is exactly as portrayed in photos and description. Beautiful and FULLY appointed.
Marina, the homeowner, was very responsive from my first inquiry until our departure. She takes great pride in her home and the responsibility of renting her home. You will have everything you need in this home. We were a family of five - 2 adults and 3 older teens. Marina has many lovely furnishings that she is rightly particular about. There are many signs around the house about what to touch and what not to touch. Some may find this off-puttting. I would say that this is not a home to rent if you have young children. The location of this home is not central to the sites most go to London to see. We took the tube (10 minute walk to station) and made several transfers to get to most sites. Not a problem with our family as we are from a big city and use public transportation. If you are not comfortable with public transportation or traveling with young children or someone with mobility issues, and visiting London for the sites, this location might not be ideal unless you are okay to spend money on Uber or taxi’s. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our time in Marina’s home and in London.

Wonderful London Stay in this Fantastic Loft House
Great space. Perfect for families. We are a family of 5 and the size was perfect. Clean, stylish, comfortable, much attention to detail - everything a family could need and more. Great location, walking distance to many shops, markets and restaurants in the Portobello area. Easy transportation to sites in London proper. We would highly recommend this Loft.

Loved Staying at This Beautiful Flat
Our family of four had a great stay at Marina's Notting Hill flat. We loved the location and the park next door was great for our two kids, who loved spending time there at the end of each day. The flat is beautiful, super clean, light and bright and homey. It is well equipped with everything needed and Marina was very helpful, responsive and accommodating in helping to ensure a great stay. Would love to stay here again someday the next time we visit London. Highly recommend!

Business travel done right!
We booked this home as a place where my colleagues and I could have a comfortable stay during our brief work trip to London - it was definitely the right choice! The home was spacious and suited our needs just right. Marina was attentive, responded very quickly to any questions and was proactive in planning the meet up for the hand-off of the keys. Barbara was over and hour late but the flight was delayed so it caused some issues getting access to the house. The area the home was in was very safe and quiet.

Successful Christmas and New Year Family Gathering in London
We came to London to spend Christmas with our daughter and her husband, and attend their wedding, and to christen our granddaughter, their firstborn - so it was a an action packed 2 weeks. Myself, my husband, our son and further son and wife all stayed at Sunswept Loft house. The home was a lovely backdrop to all our family gatherings, Christmas day and lunch replete with tree and ornaments (we had originally intended to stay in their new home close by, but it was delayed with building works). The house is very private and quiet, it felt like being in the country backing up onto the park outside, with open views and wonderful natural winter light streaming in through the windows. The bedrooms were cosy, with top quality linen and thick white towels and comfortable beds to ensure a good nights sleep. The kitchen is well equipped, we cooked for 12 for Christmas lunch. The two seating areas provided us with lots of space to spread out, with 12 in the house on Christmas day, there was plenty of room in the large open plan downstairs. Our host was very attentive and ensured we had all that we needed. The home is spotless and very well cared for. It is an elegant home and thus treated with care as the furniture and furnishing are all of a high standard. Notting Hill, which we knew well, is very vibrant and full of wonderful places to eat out and shop. A great experience.

Convenient Location
Its a wonderful home with all the items customarily found in a vacation home. The house has beautiful decor and is very well maintained by the owners. The first floor is a great space for families to gather cook, eat, read, watch tv, surf the internet, etc.

Charming loft as photos and great to be next to a park
Marina's home is lovely! We had a nice week in london with our 2 children! The kitchen especially is so well equipped. The neighbourhood is very charming and just situated right next not even a few minutes walk to the Kensington memorial park. There are also some feedbacks regarding this lovely home: - the home is very tastefully decorated as it is the owners' primary home. There are many vintage and expensive furnitures and sensitive material use around the house in different areas and we have to constantly remind our young children to stay away. - Although is all friendly reminder notes around the house but at the same time, we feel like we have to take care of the house rather than to enjoy the house we rent. - the bedrooms are all upstairs and the roof ceiling is angle and very low, although the bedrooms are very nice and clean, is not too comfortable to bend down the head to go into bed. It could get very hot in the summer under the low ceiling, even with fan on. - The location of the home from nearest tube station is about 15 mins walk and not major tube line! Therefore the transportation access is not as convenient if one likes to explore other areas during the day (but there is direct parking and bus route right Infront of the home) Marina is a very lovely lady and very helpful! The home is spotless cleaned and she made great attention to details! But If to rent out to family, may be not too suitable for young kids below 8 years old as we always have to keep an eye on them not to touch or be in certain areas. This is a vacation home and would be nice to be more carefree and relax.

World traveler
Entry via a lovely garden was so welcoming. The loft is truly sun swept and cheerful. The decor and artwork, books, furniture and kitchen equipment were so exceptional that I felt we were visiting a friends home as a special guest. Everything reflects a great "design eye" and loving care. Hardly what one usually finds in a rental. We were two adults and art lovers. Then one left after a week and my family(2adults and two girls 10&8) arrived. The park next door was an immediate hit with the girls. They had daily play time after their London sightseeing as an added bonus. The area is a quiet residential neighborhood like being in the country ( fresh air) looking out at trees and a green park yet within walking distance to the tube that takes you to the bustle and sights of London. We felt it was further from NOTTING HILL than we expected. Also if you have children one needs to be especially vigilant to have them take the care that the lovely furnishing deserve. Marina was most helpful for any of our needs and questions. They were many guidebooks and maps at our disposal. Marina has a book for visitors that thoroughly covers all aspects of how things work and labels items throughout the house. I admire her organization and communication skills. Can't imagine anyone not loving their stay at this very special property.

Beautiful Home
139 is a very unique place. It has all the benefits of a London house but with a lovely country feel at the same time. It overlooks a pretty park and is extremely private. Marina has fitted out her place with beautiful and expensive furniture and appliances and is extremely meticulous about her home, leaving lots of advice and instruction. She is always on hand if you have any queries about the house which is very useful and is often on hand to pop over should needs be. Parking is great and access to the house is easy.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION
This property is a museum, not a home. There is a long and laborious owner's manual, detailing all manner of behavior. For example, "Heels are not allowed" to be worn within the property. In addition, there are written notes in plexiglass throughout the household demanding further behavior. For example, "Use the black washcloths to wash your face". Plus, there are labels all about the house, with more instructions as what to do and what not to do. The owner texted daily and on a repeated basis, interfering with our ability to enjoy our vacation. I had to demand she stop texting. I received four texts alone on the simple matter of the trash, which I had already read about in the manual. The female owner made two unexpected visits to the property and once knocked on the door, disturbing my sleep. The male owner of the property dropped by unannounced and twice spied through the kitchen window. Currently, we are in a contract dispute with the owners regarding the full return of our deposit. One of the many issues is that we are being billed a small fortune to recover one small seating pad of a dining room chair. It is our fault that it was stained and my son should not have tried to clean it himself, but the price is ridiculous. Plus, we were reprimanded for eating at the dining room table and using the dining room chairs without first putting "tea towels" down to protect them. We are also being billed for a pre-existing stain on a sofa. The photos of the downstairs are accurate. The photos of the upstairs are shot at an angle that does not properly portray the low-slanted ceilings. I hit my head at least twice per day and I am only 5'2". You virtually have to duck down to get dressed. In addition, though the VRBO listing states that the owner accepts credit cards and the listing includes the credit card icons, when I paid the first deposit with the credit card, the owner cancelled the payment and demanded a cash wire transfer. Furthermore, upon exiting the property, the owner requested that the non-disputed damages be paid in cash, even though she held our deposit in her possession. The property is conveniently located. There is easy and accessible public transportation. The property is quiet. The property is beautifully appointed. I have successfully used VRBO all across the world and this was the worst experience I have ever had. You could not pay me to stay there, again.

Beautiful Home in Great Location
We spent two weeks in this lovely two story home myself, my husband and our two young children over Easter. The home is very well appointed and immaculate. Beds and linen are top quality. Kitchen is a dream to cook in. Large open floor areas downstairs for the little ones to play on and a wonderful small park adjacent which is a real bonus for the kids. Marina was very attentive in all the follow up to our stay, we organised a crib to be delivered for our youngest and she dealt with all those details and also the pick up when we left. She was a pleasure to deal with. She stocked the fridge with a pre selected list of necessities, which made arriving much easier - this is a really nice service if you don't want to think about grocery shopping right after you arrive. There are good transport links from the house, you can either take the bus to the tube station or walk, its not far, we got around perfectly. The home is very private and very quiet too and in a nice residential area. We were very happy with this home and would stay again.

Wonderful Home Base
Our family of two adults and three young adult children stayed for Christmas through the New Year. When we arrived the two story home was literally sun filled which put us in a great mood. We were able to get everywhere we wanted to go, all over the city and beyond, via public transportation (despite the closest underground station being close for repair). It is a very residential neighborhood, but you can still walk to the market and shops to get a bite to eat and drink. The home is comfortable and tastefully and stylish appointed with enough room for everyone to find a cozy spot to relax in the large open first floor. The bedrooms are comfortable for sleeping and it was nice having two bathrooms upstairs. Marina has a lot of rules and reminders to help guests care for the home and it works, because everything is spotless and in perfect repair. She is also a good communicator and and pleasure to deal with.

A Real Success for an Extended Family Stay!
My family of 5 (2 adults, 2 children and a nanny) came to London for an extended 2 month stay over the summer and we had such a lovely time in Marina's home. The location was was perfect, a short walk into Portobello Market for our day to day shopping and soaking up the local air, very easy access to the tube station (7 min. walk) as well as the added bonus of being next door to a lovely park which is great if you have children that need to let off steam. The house is beautifully appointed and very tasteful, well maintained and was very spacious for all of us to move around freely. Beds and bedrooms were very comfortable and the two bathrooms were well appointed and spotless. The entire downstairs is a large open space with two comfortable seating areas (one for the kids and one for us), an open plan kitchen and dining area (kitchen great to cook in - all top of the line appliances both large and small) and lots of natural light throughout the day. Nice that the sun set through the two living room windows casting a glow over the whole downstairs. The home is very quiet during the day as it is set off the street, no traffic noise night and also very private with no other homes looking onto it which is unusual for London. The owner was highly attentive to all our needs both pre arrival and throughout our two month stay. We also loved her housekeeper who came twice a week to keep things tidy. I would highly recommend this home not just for an extended stay! We were very happy during our time in this home and would definitely stay again!

THIS PROPERTY MADE IT HAPPEN!
We are a film production company from Canada and were on the lookout for a location where we could have a small film set up for conducting interviews for TV series we are producing in Canada- and house 3 crew members at the same time. This home worked perfectly for our spec for a 7 night stay. We chose the home because of the spacious downstairs living space which allowed us to set up a small interview area (we had to move some furniture with the help of Marina) and the three separate bedrooms upstairs. Marina was totally professional and on top of it in all our communication leading up to the shoot and throughout it. She was very accommodating on all fronts to make our crew and the home work for their needs. From recommending lunch delivery to be brought in every day to logistical aspects for the shoot, we were well taken care of every step of the way. The home is very quiet and private as it's set off the street and partially faces into a local park, and even though we did not get a chance to enjoy the beautiful furnishings downstairs because of all our equipment, our 3 crew slept well in their comfortable bedrooms upstairs and were able to cook some meals in the fully kitted out kitchen. The area is very well located for local transport with the tube station a short walk away. All in all a total success!

Perfect London Stay!
Our family of six (4 adults and 2 children) found Marina's "sunswept loft" to be the perfect home away from home while visiting London. The location of the house was perfect- next to a beautiful park, walking distance to the tube, Portabello Road (and iconic market), and interesting little neighborhood shops and restaurants. The #7 bus stopped right outside our door! The house itself was spacious with plenty of comfortable sleeping room and an open-concept first floor kitchen/dining/living area that was decorated nicely but was easy to relax in. All of the appliances were new and in good working order. The bathrooms were light and spacious and served us well for getting ready in the morning. In fact, the entire house was well ventilated and "sunswept" and even in the warm summer temperatures (80s), it was quite cool with just the occasional use of the fans provided. All in all, we decided that we would stay there again, if we came to London with a group. It was wonderful!

A stay with me, your host, is defined by unpretentious luxury, inspiring living spaces, distinctive interiors and unusual finishing touches that delight and surprise. A touch of the exceptional. And I know it’s the little touches that matter too.

Born in Paris, I am French, Italian and American. I lived lived in Milan during my working years and spent my childhood in Santa Barbara, CA. London has been my home for the past 20 years. I look forward to welcoming you and your family.

Why they chose this property

Celebrated as much for its idyllic as it is for its cafe lifestyle and ephemeral fancies, it’s easy to understand Notting Hill's cinematic celebrity. Portobello Antiques market and Notting Hill Gate are within walking distance.

Open-plan loft lateral homes are a rarity in London and this home provides a light-filled American-style open plan space for the whole family to WFH, play, relax, socialise, cook and live in.

What makes this property unique

Interior-designed home full of visual interest with a great collection of books.

Fully-equipped chef's Bulthaup kitchen to cook any meal you want. Hotel quality beds, linen (and towels) for a most comfortable sleeping experience.

High degree of privacy and quiet. The home is hidden down a long path set back off the street.

Adjacent park and playground is a big bonus for kids.
