Nice
We really enjoyed our time at the Mountain View Victorian. High points: the view out the living room window, the good location in town, the well-stocked and convenient kitchen, the gas grill, the comfortable bedding. If you are looking to hike some of the many trails in the area but don't wish to camp, this is your spot.

Great View, Great house, great location, love Leadville
House was great. Excellent spot only a few blocks to downtown and the corner lot at the edge of town gave us a great view of the snow capped mountains. The house was well stocked with laundry supplies, bathroom supplies-plenty of towels and washcloths and soaps etc. Kitchen had better than usual VRBO pots and pans etc. Even came with some k cups (although we used the regular coffee pot that was also with the house. Loved the side porch- nice comfy place to sit. Nothing but positive things to say about the house and the area.

Unforgettable
I have stayed at another Big Buckle Mountain Home in Leadville (Lodge on Leiter) so I was well aware of how dialed in they have things. The Mountain View Victorian was no different. Anything you could need was available on site. The location is perfect for Leadville Race Series events! My family and I were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for the five of us! Thank you so much to Amber & Renee for their hospitality! I would definitely stay at any of their properties on all my future trips to Leadville of Grand Junction!

Two thumbs WAY up for Mountain View Victorian (Leadville)
This was our third consecutive year staying at the property ... hard to give a stronger review than coming back for more. The location is fantastic ... an easy walk to Harrison, but not so close as to incur the downsides of crowds/traffic congestion. The owners' attention to detail is first rate, and that's a high compliment coming from a detail freak like me. Labels on everything to help unfamiliar guests operate all of the water things: dishwasher, washing machine, and, oh, wait, there's a hot tub!? LOVED the hot tub, perfect for de-tensioning post-ride muscles. Lodging just can't get any better than the Mountain View Victorian (which, by the way, also has an AMAZING view of the mountains).

The home had all the details…coffee, creamer, slippers, robes, washer, dryer, etc. The view was beautiful and we loved the effort to restore the original home. Location was great and would love to stay again!!

Cozy Victorian with all the touches!
Our family had a great stay here, and the home has everything we needed and then some! The view of the mountains was incredible and the hot tub was great to follow up a day of skiing. Walking distance from all things in town. Plan to return here the next time we are in Leadville.

Mountain View Victorian
We had a wonderful time at this home. The property was close enough to walk to most everything in town, but just far enough away to enjoy quiet evenings. The house is absolutely lovely with everything you could want in a home away from home. Well stocked kitchen, excellent wi-do, and gorgeous outdoor spaces to enjoy the sunset or just some porch-sitting. If you need a place in Leadville, this location and these hosts can’t be beat!

Perfect Place for a Getaway
Adorable, yet functional. Well-stocked. Great views. Great location. And really pleasant owners. This Victorian had a few recent upgrades that made it super comfortable - like a large island in the kitchen and a big bathroom with plenty of room to move around. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies (bonus: gas stove). While I was only there with my husband, this would be a good floor plan for two couples as the bedrooms are separated by the kitchen/bathroom. It also has a nice fenced in yard if you have kids or a pup. The mountain views out front are amazing. And the location is great - you are off the hustle of Main Street, but only a few blocks walk to the restaurants and shops. Cute decor and interesting historical receipts/ledgers in the house. Excellent heating system as well. The temps only dropped to about 38, but based on how the heat worked, I'd imagine this home is quite cozy in the winter months should you choose to vacation then. Excellent place to stay. Highly recommend.

A native of Austin, Texas, I moved to Leadville CO in 2015, trading heat and humidity for cool mountain air! I love Rocky Mountain living in every season and spend my free time mountain biking, snowboarding, camping and exploring new trails. Although it was a bike race that first brought me to Leadville, the friendly atmosphere & 360 degree mountain views are the reason I made it home. If you’ve spent time in this humble little town you know exactly what I mean! If you haven't, what are you waiting for??

Why they chose this property

This quaint Victorian has been wonderful preserved and recently remodeled. It sits on a quiet downtown neighborhood street with ample parking and an incredible mountain view. Authentic 1880's charm inside & out. Ideally located with short walk to main street, race starts, dog & skate parks & more. 15 min to Ski Cooper, 30 min to Copper Mountain. Less than an hour to Breck, Vail or Keystone.
