About this property

Cozy Casita with Nearby Lake Access

New construction 320 sq ft tiny house in quiet community with lake access from community boat launch or from Walling Bend Park, just 5 minutes away. House includes fully stocked kitchenette with 2-burner induction cooktop, multi-function microwave, refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. The 55" smart tv will keep you in touch and the quiet HVAC will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The propane Weber grill is easy to access on the large outside deck. You can enjoy stargazing while roasting marshmallows over the firepit. There is ample parking for your boat. The lake can be accessed by foot at the rear of the property for fishing or swimming.
Please note that during 2024 there will be periodic construction on our house at the back of the property, about 50 yards away. You will still have unfettered lake access and no construction should take place after 5:00pm or on weekends. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns!

Great Getaway!

Every year I meet up with a friend that I grew up with for a girl's trip. This was our second stay at the Cozy Casita, and we just love it there! Everything about it is perfect! Byron is a great host and always responds quickly. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful casita and wonderful host

Byron was super attentive and welcoming, the casita was lovely and had all the amenities we could possibly ask for, including a huge deck, nice grill and firepit which we thoroughly enjoyed. The lake is spectacular, there is a small pier right on the edge of the water at the rear of the property and it's also a short drive to Lake Whitney State Park. We hope to return and spend more time here.

Quiet/Peaceful

My wife and I chose this little cabin for our anniversary trip. We really enjoyed our stay. Far enough away from everything but close enough if you need something. Byron was a great host. Was nice to be able to walk down the hill to do a little sight seeing and fishing. We got to see a few deer during our stay in the evening.

This place is wonderful; quiet and secluded, but there are other homes nearby. Had it not been raining, it would be a perfect place to sit out by the fire pit and watch the deer. The inside looks to be brand new and stocked with drinks and snacks. This was perfect for 3. I slept on the futon and it was very comfortable We didnt cook but it looked to have the basic cookery. If you like to cook gourmet you should bring some additional items. The bathroom and shower were just right. Magnolia Gardens and the Dr Pepper museum in Waco were about 45 minutes. We would definately stay again.

Great place and manager!

The cabin was great! Just the right size. Lake is gorgeous. Fire pit was put to use. Byron thought of EVERYTHING that could be needed. Met Byron when we arrived, super nice and attentive! Great communication! Highly recommend!

Great comfortable quiet getaway.

We had a very nice getaway at this cabin! It was very clean and well equipped with coffee, snacks, water, etc. It had a generous sized deck for lounging and a fire pit for those cool evenings. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Stay At Lake Whitney

Byron’s casita was as advertised. It is in a quiet neighborhood nestled back in a creek off of the lower main lake. I visited during a late season heat wave, and I was pleasantly surprised to find air conditioning on inside upon check-in. The property and cabin are very nice. I only wish the temperatures were more hospitable so that I could’ve enjoyed the wonderful deck, propane grill, and fire pit. Parking was easy and roomy for my truck and 21’ bass boat. Exterior outlets made charging my boat batteries a breeze. I was also able to recharge in the comfortable bed after several long days on the water. Overall I rate this property a solid five out of five! Thank you for your attention to detail Byron.

Great Escape!!!

What a great place to get away, relax and have no worries. The cabin was cozy, inviting and had everything that you could need. Byron is an excellent host and has thought of everything in providing a great stay for his guest. The cabin had all the essentials and great a/c for the unbearable heat this past weekend. Quiet surroundings, with deer in the yard and a short walk down to the lake. A nice area for fishing and relaxing. We look forward to coming back in the fall to enjoy more time on the porch and the fire pit.

Relaxing environment!

I was beyond impressed with this property. It was well thought out and easy directions were left by the owner and he was immediately available when needed or had questions. The bed was beyond comfortable and the cabin was beautifully decorated. I look forward to returning!
