NEIGHBORHOOD

Frenchtown was a neighborhood of four square blocks located on the northern edge of Houston's Fifth Ward. Frenchtown was founded by french speaking creoles from Louisiana in the early 1920s. It was distinct from other parts of 5th ward because of its creole roots and zydeco music scene.
