A small year round Cottage on Beautiful Whetstone Pond with Majestic Russell Mountain emerging right from the shoreline across from you. Easy access to ATV and Snowmobile Trails. Great Summertime Fishing, sorry Whetstone is closed to Ice Fishing, but good Ice fishing just down the street.

Just an overnight, but as usual it was pure relaxation. Enjoyed the fireplace and the fun Easter decor - bunnies and eggs everywhere you look. Thanks for another great stay at Andy's Place.

Cute & cozy getaway
We stayed for a weekend in December. The wood stove made the cottage very cozy, and the surrounding area was very quiet with amazing views of the lake. When you enter the address in Google Maps, it takes you to the wrong location, but we were able to find the right place relatively quickly by following the written directions provided. We contacted the host and he was very responsive and helpful. Our only complaint was that the house had a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke inside. In the summer it may not be as pronounced, but in the winter with all the windows and doors closed, it was. We still enjoyed our stay regardless.

Andy’s Place was wonderful! The beauty of the lake with the mountains beyond was a wonderful sight to drink coffee and admire in the morning. Our trip started here after a long drive from Michigan, and it was absolutely wonderful. The beds were comfortable, and our host was very thoughtful with the necessities that were at the property. 10/10 for sure!

What a dream it was to stay at this cute little cottage. The location is gorgeous and easily accessible. We kayaked every night, and had a fire every night! The beds were very comfortable. And the kitchen was fully stocked for all your cooking needs. They even had a cabinets of dried food goods you could use. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Andys Place was everything we hoped for. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch and just did a lot of relaxing. We had great weather and great sunsets. Also had everything we needed in the camp and more.

We could not have had a better vacation. It’s so hard to tell when booking online if the rental will live up to our expectations. Well, this one certainly did. Do not hesitate to rent this cottage. I cannot count how much time we spent on the dock and on the porch. Absolutely wonderful. The amenities were outstanding.

Our fourth stay on this property
Andy's Place in Abbott, Me never disappoints, never fails to enchant and rejuvenate. This trip was a little kayaking, a little swimming, a little sitting by an evening campfire, and a lot of enjoying the quietness and beauty of Whetstone Pond. As always, we kept watch for the resident loons. The only time we left camp was for our anniversary dinner at The Quarry in nearby Monson. We already have our reservations for next year.! Can't say enough about this beautiful property and the excellent amenities.

Gorgeous. Well kept cottage and nicely positioned. Like most summer places on the water, there a number of other cottages surrounding the cottage that are not pictured in the listing. However, neighbors were quiet and the public landing next to the cottage was not very busy. Plenty of privacy. We thoroughly enjoed our stay.

Whetstone Pond Cottage
Andy’s Place has a great location on the pond. Fully equipped inside and out. My wife and I fully enjoyed our stay and the weather was fantastic. I brought a canoe with me although kayaks are included in the rental. No luck fishing on the pond but saw loons up close. Did catch a few trout on the Piscataquis River a couple of miles away. We would love to return. We appreciated all the amenities.

Whetstone Pond is quite possibly one of the nicest little ponds you will ever see. Majestic Russell Mountain rises right from the shore across from you. The sun will set right out in front of the screen porch. You'll listen to the Loons and this time of year, you'll get to see the leaves change. You won't find a better area than Northern Maine to enjoy the Foliage...
