Our cottage is a secret Zen retreat 🙏🏻🌳❣️
It is nestled in the hills below Topanga and surrounded by the sounds of nature & lovely views. Every guest seems to find a spot to fall in love with at the treehouse❣️ This retreat offers a spacious cafe style lit deck with outdoor heater, amazing views, a succulent garden, gorgeous views on deck off the master suite as well, a calming study to read in and a tranquil meditation-style loft. The newly renovated kitchen creates an amazing culinary experience for our guests. Steps away from hiking trails and a short 15 minute drive to PCH. Can’t wait to share our special place with you🥰❣️

Our stay at the Treehouse met all our expectations and helped us regain our composure. The house is nestled in trees and the neighborhood is so tranquil that you have the feeling of being alone in the woods even when having coffee on the deck. The cottage was ready in time, the guidebook explained everything in details and made it easy to quickly get acquainted with the dishwasher, TV and all amenities. Everything worked as described and nothing was broken, iffy or sub-standard. Anneliese did everything to make us at home by connecting with us prior to our arrival, writing a nice welcome message and even offering thoughtful gifts to improve our experience. She did not have to do any of this but her kindness and thoughtfulness is reflected through out the house. If you take the time to contemplate the decoration, the materials and attention to details you realize that it did not happen overnight. All of it took time because she cherishes her house and wanted to create a warm and cozy feeling that you can’t find in modern condos. We are very grateful to have had the chance to stay in her Treehouse. Thank you Anneliese.

Zen in Woodlands Hills

The Zen Treehouse is truly a great place to stay and is accurately represented in the photos. I highly recommend this property for folks who don't mind a few stairs. AJ your host is very responsive and goes the extra mile to welcome you to her home.

Treehouse Retreat

This home is a serene retreat with all the comfort and amenities needed for a weekend or longer stay. The windows and natural light are wonderful for viewing wildlife; and decks and terraces beckon you to linger with morning coffee, or late afternoon cocktail. For those coming from out of the area, the hillside canyon neighborhood is peaceful and quiet (no traffic noise). Perfect location to stay if you plan to explore Topanga Canyon or head over to Malibu.

Zen Tree House up the Stairs

it's a lovely space, the only real problem was that my daughter wanted to bring over her Grandma, but since there are steep steps coming from the garage or entering from the street above she was unable to negotiate the stairs. But unless you have an issue with going up and down stairs you should be 100% happy :-)

A must book!!

This place is magical! The vibe of the entire property is lovely, bright and uplitfing. There is such wonderful attention to detail and use of space, which makes the energy flow so well that it feels good anywhere you choose to enjoy a moment. The neighboring town of Topanga was so enjoyable as well. Great food, cool artistic area with fun shops. AJ's recommendations in the welcome book were top notch! Peaceful experience

From the moment you step up into the garden, you are literally transformed. The place is incredibly clean, incredibly peaceful and all your needs are carefully thought out. We had a great experience for the few days that were there. Plus, awesome water pressure, a bidet, wonderful art and an all around calming and relaxing atmosphere.

Inspiration Awaits!

Highly recommend! Perfect location tucked into a hillside surrounded by mature Aleppo Pines and Live Oaks. You truly feel isolated with plenty of options to just sit down, relax and focus on what matters. Great kitchen! The succulent gardens were amazing! One of our favorite VRBO experiences to date! (My wife and I traveling with our 18 year old and 12 year old.)

Serenity in the woods

First of all AJ is the most responsive host I've ever worked with! I had to change the date of my stay and she made it so incredibly easy for me. The place itself is just lovely. Perfect for a getaway to reset, meditate and unwind. And the location is gorgeous. Feel so remote and yet it's a hope skip and a jump to anything you would need convenience wise. There is an abundance of excellent kitchenware, fluffy towels, comfortable linens and the place is impeccably clean. Just book it. Thank you AJ! xo

This house is even prettier than the pictures! So cozy and quiet with so many thoughtful touches to make you feel right at home. Love the decorating and aesthetic. Very clean. The beds are super comfortable. AJ was available and attentive when needed. We would definitely return.

The tiniest of details are attended to at this beautiful home. It’s like you walked yourself right into the pages of a magazine. A Perfect CA Getaway

We simply loved this property. It was perfect for us. Putting aside that it is filled with California charm (and a decorator's touch)... it had everything we needed! AJ was a terrific host and helped us get acquainted with the neighborhood; we loved the location - close to necessities but also close to hiking in Topanga, which is the reason we ventured to this area. I would be back here in a heartbeat. ps - you can't beat coffee on the bedroom porch, or cocktail hour on the deck. Heaven.

Treehouse a cycling paradise

Clean, very well equipped house. It has everything you need! Appliances, furniture, kitchen all top line and new. Loved sitting out on the deck. Definitely some stairs getting to the house but worth it for the views and calming nature of the area. Owner very responsive. Beautiful area to explore.

Truly Exceptional

We have had the good fortune of staying in fabulous rental properties but this one was next level. Surrounded by trees with multiple outdoor seating areas. The decor is like a Weat Elm showroom. I was discovering thoughtful touches throughout our 5 day stay. We were so happy to have a couple rainy days so we could just stay inside and enjoy this exquisite house without feeling guilty about missing the infinite options of fun around us. Amazing host and property

First, AJ went above and beyond to help me book her property after having trouble with air b n b. She replied instantly to all my messages. The house itself is so charming and well equipped. The meditation room is picture perfect and the best place for a nap. The kitchen was a dream with beautiful plates and glassware and all the utensils one would need. THE TREEHOUSE

This is one of the best VRBO places we have ever rented. The home was perfect! It’s very relaxing and beautifully decorated. It has everything you would ever need to make a great meal and two amazing locations to eat your meal with your family. The outdoors was a great place to sit at night and enjoy a glass of wine, listen to music and look at the stars. Also AJ the SUPERHOST was wonderful to work with😊

Slice of heaven in Topanga Canyon!

Love this property!

The Zen Treehouse is well stocked, well designed and in a lovely location. I brought my Mom for a Mother Daughter weekend and to attend a wedding in Augora Hills. What a perfect location! Very comfortable beds, relaxing rooms and beautiful outdoor patio - very peaceful. AJ was very responsive and helpful - we felt well taken care of!

Fabulous retreat in the trees

Our family of four had a terrific half-week stay in the Treehouse. Such a great location: within striking distance of conveniences but feels like a world away from the valley and LA suburbia that's just a few miles from the property. Beautiful design aesthetic and wonderful touches all around the house and property! Very much appreciated the fast and helpful communication with AJ throughout our stay.

Family Birthday Celebration

This was a wonderful home to celebrate our family birthdays and spend time together! The kitchen was amazing along with a great grill.
