Secluded getaway

This quiet, well-furnished cabin was the perfect spot for us and our three Hedlund huskies to spend a few days. Unique moose and fishing-themed decorations complemented the completely stocked kitchen, with much higher quality kitchen tools than most. The host was very friendly and had helpful local information. We loved the cabin location in the woods, and used it as a base camp for hiking in the beautiful, snowy mountains with our dogs

Wonderful small cabin with impressive views

One of our favorite cabins we have stayed in. It is small (as many cabins are) and the two bedrooms are only semi-private, but the cabin is great, amazingly well-stocked (maybe the best we have ever seen) and with wonderful views all around yet a short drive to the grocery store.

GREAT PLACE!!

Great private location. Owners close by and very accommodating! Lots of wildlife to see and great views from wrap around porch. Kitchen was well stocked with different types of spices, and standard pantry style staples, such as coffee, sugar, flour, etc... Only needed to bring what we wanted to cook. Pots, Pans, Plates, and utensils were easy to find. Beds were cozy, plenty of pillows and blankets. Bathroom had large soft towels. Definitely a place for us to stay in again.

The location felt very safe and set back off the road. Lots of wildlife on the property. Drew the Selkirk Moose tag this was a perfect base camp. Anniversary Trip

This was one of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed at. The cabin is remote and well stocked. I appreciated the signs indicating where everything was. It was a hot week and the air conditioners kept the cabin cool. Nanette checked in with us ahead of time, at arrival and the end of our trip. We will definitely be back!

Great cabin -great stay

When we road trip, we like to stay in off the beaten path cabins. We need to be out of town, and we want a cabin with personality. The Hidden Moose Lodge is just that. This is an older cabin that’s been well maintained and has true cabin style. The setting is pretty and it’s well back from the road. Nanette was a great host as well. If we’re back in this neck of the woods, we’ll stay at Hidden Moose Lodge.

Absolutely wonderful!

It was incredibly clean and well stocked. Every drawer, cupboard and shelf clearly labeled and filled with anything you could need. Food, condiments, cleaning stuff, batteries, chargers, everything. Was absolutely perfect and the porch was amazing. Beds were also insanely comfortable.

So.Much.Snow

Kids wanted a white Christmas and white Christmas is what we got. After being out in the cold, the cabin was cozy and warm. The dining table by the glass door let us enjoy the view on the snowy trees also from the inside.

Truly wonderful

This was a wonderful property with a great attention to detail. The cabin was lovely and had literally everything that anyone could need. (everything from boardgames to a first aid kit, bath products, shaving cream and acid acids to diaper ointment was available if needed, plus much more). Even a safety ladder located on second floor. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Heard lots of birds and Canadian geese. We enjoyed a fire pit that had very comfortable seating. Pond in the backyard that can a great heron. The beds were comfortable and the air-conditioning units with fans worked great to keep the temperature perfect. The cleanliness was top notch. Thank you Ralph and Nanette for the wonderful communication and information resources.

Great Getaway and Adventure

Two adults & dog. Cabin is quaint, comfy & cozy. Very responsive hosts; extremely thoughtful. Awesome respite from busy life; like you are in a remote mountain cabin. Deer wandered by in the morning/evening thru grasslands adjacent the cabin. Cabin's at end of very long, timbered, gravel road. Serene location; with feeling of being secluded. Everything you need & thoughtful extras. Two air conditioning winow units (1 upstairs/1down), kept the inside nice and cool. Charging outlets throughout for electronics. Two adjoining bedrooms, upstairs divided by a thin door. Has extra blankets, folding luggage stands, small coat rod (open air closet) with hangers provided, labelled drawers for other items. Full-size kitchen; well stocked with cookware, bakeware, measuring devices, storage containers. GREAT array of spices, cooking oil & extras if you forgot to bring something (cooking oil, Pam spray, flour). Fridge has common condiments; the freezer had ice cube trays ready to go. Cabinets/drawers labelelled the contents; very helpful in locating items. 2 Notes: 1. The staircase's very top step is a different height than the remaining steps (there are reminder signs going up/down the stairs). 2. The sliding glass patio door does not have a curtain. Your fur-kids are not forgotten with dog bowls, towels, placemat & dog cookies. Loved it and would like to return in the future.

Felt like home....

Kudos to Nanette and her husband for putting in the hard work making this cozy secluded cabin feel like home. The attention to every little detail and the decor brought back many memories as a child growing up in Alaska enjoying nature and the wildlife. Nanette gave us a list of things to see while staying there. So, we took advantage of it as nature lovers. We came across several whitetail deer during late hunting season, some wild turkeys while traveling to Boundry Dam, Douglas Falls Grange Park, Crystal Falls, Sweet Creek Falls, Sullivan Lake, even had a bbq/picnic at the small park at Boundary Dam. People seem very friendly at the Ione Public House while having dinner and playing pool. We plan on visiting Moose Lodge next summer so we can fish the local lakes in the area. We even had 3 visitors come see us Xena, Macy and Moose very entertaining and friendly German Shepard raised by Nanette and her husband.
