Welcome to Flatonia!
This home has recently undergone complete restoration.
Two bedrooms, each furnished with a plush California King bed.
Two full bathrooms.
Living, dining, and full kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Smart televisions in each bedroom and in living room.
High quality wireless internet throughout.
The home sits on a completely fenced and gated private one half acre lot with plenty of room for fun and games (croquet, badminton, and bocce ball sets stocked in home as well as indoor games)!
Outdoor Grill.
Recently installed landscaping (soon to be lush and full of flowers).
Hot tub!
We love our customers!...and your pets...please note that pets are allowed and should be attended. The fence around the majority of the property is 5' high, while the fence around the front yard is only 3' high.
If your pet is over 50lbs please contact us. We are happy to make exceptions whenever possible!
Smoking allowed outdoors only!

Small Town Texas Treasure
This is a little gem. Top notch renovation of a charming small town Texas house. Great attention to details and plenty of little extras. We spent the day visiting the Painted Churches in the area and came home to this special house and beautiful yard. Fresh fruit and a complimentary bottle of wine was a nice treat. Great quality beds and linens, tasteful decor, and super clean. We always stay in guest houses and this one ranks at the top.

My wife and I really enjoyed this place. It has all the things you want and is very close to a great art gallery and a really nice grocery store on main street. We would love to go back and stay for longer.

Charming Historic Property w/Modern Amenities
Charming historic home has a great layout - especially for 2 traveling couples - and the modern amenities travelers want/need. Owner tastefully remodeled in a way that maintained the historic character while also providing contemporary comforts. We loved that each couple had their own king-size bed and full-size bathroom. Nice Keurig selection (different coffee varieties and tea too which was great for non-coffee family members) and fresh fruit/bottle of wine on the dining table. The water system in the dining room - offering cold/hot bottled water - was also a very nice touch. Tammy was great, friendly and accommodating. I suggest calling her though as when I messaged via VRBO I didn't get a response, but when I called she immediately picked up. However, it WAS the Christmas/New Year's holidays, so I tend to go offline then too : ) My family really enjoyed our visit and hopes to stay here again. Only suggestion is brighter bulbs in the kitchen. Oh, and if you're sensitive to night noise like the occasional 18-wheeler or train going by turn on the white noise app on your phone. The location is perfect in that it's easy access to so many places, but you are on the main thoroughfare.

Impeccable Cottage
We came to Flatonia for a high school basketball tournament and stayed here. This place is cleaner than clean, neater than neat and just extremely well done. This is no weekend warrior remodel. Whoever redid this house was a pro and it is spectacular and the furnishings are gorgeous. Our kids have two more years of high school basketball and we will for sure stay here each year for the tournament.

Friendly, fabulous getaway in Flatonia
We found this property to exactly what we wanted...a charming, place to stay while sightseeing. An up-to-date 1908 cottage, it was clean, convenient with added personal touches like a bowl of fresh fruit and rolls. Totally NOT a motel room. I would recommend it to anyone as the place to stay awhile in Flatonia.

A relaxing escape in this most unique home.
We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this wonderfully restored turn of the century house just a few blocks from historic downtown Flatonia. Our host Tammy couldn’t have been more accommodating. The home has been luxuriously appointed with all the niceties you would expect from a 5 star hotel while keeping it’s local cottage charm. We couldn’t have been more impressed with the attention to detail.! With its beautiful grounds and totally fenced outdoor spaces we enjoyed a glass of wine on the front porch while our dog safely wandered the large property. He wasn’t quite ready to leave at check out time nor were we. We’ve stayed at many VRBO homes and condos over the years but this one is a standout and we feel very lucky to have found it.

We absolutely loved the place! The house is gorgeous and well decorated, and the large, fenced in yard was the perfect space for our two dogs. Tammy's hospitality was the icing on the cake. We have family planning to stay here for their future trips to Flatonia and plan to stay again ourselves.

You cannot miss this PERFECT house!
My husband and I travel a lot -- and we travel a lot in Texas. Without a doubt, this house in Flatonia is one of our favorite vacation homes. If you have ever dreamed of renovating a farmhouse, this is the epitome of a well-done renovation and will inspire you. Tammy's house is perfectly clean, beautifully decorated, boasts wonderful outdoor spaces and a delightful yard, and its location is perfect, right off I-10 in the charming town of Flatonia (calling all train enthusiasts!). This house is a dream for antiquing in Round Top, bluebonnet road trips around Brenham, and as a jumping off point for visiting the Hill Country. I could go on and on, but I'll close by saying that I give this house FIVE STARS PLUS, which I've only done one other time before -- and I have to share that we stayed here for the first few days of an epic road trip through Texas, then extended our trip just to stay a couple more days at this lovely home. I would definitely stay again, and I highly, highly recommend it.
