Welcome to the Oakland Retreat! This private retreat is draped in live oaks and overlooks the marsh and river.

This property is just a short drive to the beach at Coffin Point, under 6 miles away from the Hunting Island State Park beach and lighthouse, approximately 20 minutes from downtown Beaufort, and 25 minutes to Parris Island.

The home has been completely renovated with no detail missed. The kitchen has been upgraded with brand new stainless appliances and a 6-burner gas range. Large pantry area as well as a center island with seating perfect for family mealtimes and gatherings.

This 4 bedroom 3-bathroom home sleeps up to 8 people. It has central heating/air conditioning. Laundry room with new washing machine and dryer.

Features two master bedrooms. One master bedroom a king and large bathroom with double vanity sinks, an open shower, and a copper soaking bathtub. The other master bedroom has a queen bed and private bathroom. The third bedroom features a king bed and the fourth bedroom has two twins. Each bedroom has a smart TV.

There is a private deep water dock if you want to crab or fish from the backyard. If you plan on bringing a boat please reach out to us prior to booking.

Renters must be 25 or older. No parties or events. The capacity limit on the property is extremely strict.

Reservations are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.

Incredible views
The property is a little secluded, cell phone service (AT&T) is spotty. The house is very nice and updated. The views from the backyard are amazing, and watching the sunset from the dock while catching fish and crabs is an incredible experience. The property manager was very responsive to our request. Highly recommend!!

We enjoyed the large kitchen for family gatherings! The house was beautifully decorated and spacious! The views were spectacular. The dock was lovely. We put our crab trap in and caught some crabs to add to our Frogmore Stew!! Thank you for sharing your home with us. We may rent again!! With that said, we also respectfully have a few suggestions: full length mirror, grab bars in showers, and folding chairs for additional seating, inside and outside on dock. Needs new grill :)

The views are stunning and home is perfectly done for a great, family vacation. Kitchen is well appointed for making big meals. The outdoor space is lovely with plenty of seating. The dock is well kept and ready for fishing and relaxing. I would love to return in the future!

Had a wonderful week with my family celebrating Thanksgiving. We enjoyed the layout of the house immensely, with bedrooms on either side of the house, and kitchen/living room in the middle. I love that the property had laundry soap, and cleaning products for us to use!! The copper tub was to die for!! Then there was the dock with the most stunning sunsets!! We were even visited by dolphins!!!

This property was amazing! So relaxing, beautifully decorated, and the property/dock was incredible. We caught so many crabs and fish right off the dock. Wonderful, relaxing time with family.

Stunning house and beautiful location!
This property was fantastic. The house is absolutely stunning. All the amenities you could want. It has a very good layout and the decor was understated but classy. The kitchen with the restaurant grade has range was a joy to cook in. The master bathroom with the open all tile shower was amazing. The property itself is beautiful. A little off the beaten path and right on Coffin Creek. We saw a family of deer in the backyard several mornings. They stayed and let us observe them eating for ten or fifteen minutes each day. We also saw several pairs of dolphins swimming just a few feet away from us several times. I would recommend this property for anyone who wants to get away and decompress but still have access to historic downtown Beaufort. We loved it and will definitely be returning!

Great location for relaxing time
House was in a great secluded location that allowed for a very relaxing time. Plenty of large bedrooms and bathrooms. The back sitting area was nice in the mornings and evenings. 4 min drive to Coffin Point beach, 15 minutes to Hunting Island and 20 minutes to Fripp. The dock was great for the kids to fish a little. The waterway also had dolphins and other wildlife that was great for the kids to see. The beach at Coffin Point was nice at high tide and was a nature wonderland during low tide. We saw horseshoe crabs, dolphins and sea creatures. Overall, we liked the place a lot and it was perfect for our large family of five kids.

A slice of history & a piece of heaven
After all the craziness of Covid and daily divisions in Society. I needed a place where I would be inspired by the past, find peace in the present and strength for the future. This property outside Beaufort was all this and more. Fantastic gathering place. Highly Recommend

We visited South Carolina to watch our nephew graduate from Marine Corps boot camp and needed a place that could accommodate three families. Beautiful property with lots of room for big families. Loved the separate bedrooms with separate bathrooms. Huge kitchen for cooking and entertaining and gathering. Would have been nicer if they provide more toiletries. Overall great home , would highly recommend and visit again.

The location was perfect. It rained the first few days but we didn't mind just hanging out at the house. The view was enjoyable watching the tide in and out. It was quiet and very relaxing. The games and TVs provided kept us entertained. We had plenty of space for together or private.

Awesome Spot
This house and dock is perfect for fishing, shrimping and crabbing. The house is perfect size for 6-8 adults and the kitchen is perfect to prepare family meals. The house is well appointed and appears to have been recently renovated. The master bedroom has a beautiful view of the marsh and so does the rest of the house. The back porch view of the marsh and awesome live oaks with hanging moss was beautiful & it was very nice to hang out and spend time with the family. The dock was perfect for sunset views. If you are looking for a quite weekend to marsh fish, this is the place to go! The cost to rent this property was worth every penny!
