This was a perfect spot for our family vacation. There was plenty of room with everything right at the lake to enjoy. We will definitely be going back!
Everything was great on the trip! The house is just like the pictures show. Hot tub and sauna both are fantastic. Pontoon boat ran perfect. Everything was great! I recommend this property to anyone wanting an up north lake vacation.
Perfect stay, comfy beds, all amenities that we needed. Matthew the host was on spot and very accommodating. Will stay again for our next hunting trip.
Very enjoyable property, well thought out amenities. We enjoyed the kayaks and the pontoon boat, as well as relaxing at the house. The kitchen has everything and there are plenty of towels. Very nice stay.
The house is perfectly positioned on the lake with a tremendous view and lake access.
Matt and Liz are perfect hosts and responsive to any inquiries.
Everything you could want is at your finger tips; sauna, hot tub, sand volleyball, kayaks, dock, rental pontoon and jet ski available. Perfect Northern Michigan get away.
Beautiful lake with a new dock right on the water. The kayaks, paddle board, fire pit and volleyball all added to the fun. The jet ski was a hit. The house was very clean and had everything you need.
A group of friends and I booked this amazing home for a New Years Eve stay. The home was very clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable, hot tub was clean, and Wi-Fi and TV’s worked great! The gas fireplace was amazing in the cold Michigan winter!
Owner meet us on site to go over all the details of the home, which was very helpful. Would definitely recommend!
Our family enjoyed this property for 5 days. The home is very clean and comfortable. The clean big hot tub was a huge hit, a real asset as we encountered a few cooler/rainy days. The hosts were very easy to communicate with; always very responsive and accommodating. Long Lake is a clean clear body of water. Lovely location. Highly recommended. Thank you Liz and Matt.
It was a beautiful place! Great location to do some exploring since there was no ice to ice fish! Can’t help the weather! Great view of the lake, cozy, loved the decor!! Hot tub was a hit, it could have been a little fuller to be able to run jets on full speed without a lot of people in it! Also maybe leave a few laundry detergent to wash towels while we are there! Had none to wash some towels from being in and out of the hot tub! But every everything about the place was great.. with the gas fireplace made it even more cozy! would definitely rent again!
We really enjoyed our time at this lake side retreat up north. Wish we could have stayed longer but it was not in the cards this time due to work and family commitments. Definitely plan on staying here again in the future.
The house is very clean throughout. The knotty pine/log cabin/Earl Young inspired stonework is tastefully carried throughout. It is nicely appointed and decorated for year-round enjoyment. Appliances are all clean, modern, higher end and recently new. Well stocked kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, food prep, food serving and dinner ware. We were met at the house for a personal tour and explanation of its workings. Contact phone numbers and local emergency services are posted in the entry way for quick reference.
After a day of cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, we found ourselves warming by the gas log fireplace and sipping hot tea, before a shower and soothing aching muscles in the hot tube and dry sauna. The three TVs have more live channels, plus Netflix and other streaming services than a person knows what to do with. WiFi was great for connecting to VPN at the office. Also used it for WiFi calling as Verizon data and call coverage was intermittent.
Our group of friends decided on a whim to book a trip away together for Labor Day Weekend. We stumbled upon the listing for this house (were shocked that it was still available based on the listing) and immediately booked it! The property is amazing and exactly as described in the listing. We used just about all of the amenitites that were offered - from the kayaks to the paddle board to the jet ski. The property manager is very friendly and easy to reach if you have any questions. I'm hoping that we are able to rent this cabin again in the future - it was the perfect spot for a long weekend.
Pros:
1. Crystal clear lake - priceless
2. Includes 4 kayaks & a paddle board - priceless
3. Includes almost a brand new hot tub - priceless
4. Includes a very well maintained fully functional Sauna - priceless
5. More than ample towels, amenities for entire family/friends/kids - 6 adults 3 kids.
6. Washer/Dryer - Super PLUS
7. Volleyball court & firepit - TOTALLY amazing
8. Pontoon - Did not rent but cost was 75% cheaper than city cost.
9. Decently spacious. Not too big but not small either.
10. Love everything about the log house.
11. Super low mosquito population - Priceless.
12. Quick response from owner - Very helpful.
Cons:
None.
Just 1 feedback for owner: 2-4 additional set of toilet papers would go million miles. 2 roles (both used) for a family of 7 was a bit rough, as anyone could understand. Other than that, we will definitely rent the house all over again :):)
Note to owner: You have gone over & beyond providing for your renters. We really appreciate you sharing your house.
This was a great getaway for the family. The kids loved being at the lake. The home is spacious and has everything needed. It isn’t far from Alpena to see Lake Huron. We would definitely stay again.
Three generations all enjoyed everything this home had to offer. The accommodations were even nicer than the pictured. The lake and sunsets were gorgeous. I hate to highly recommend this home because I fear it may not be available for us to return next time! :)
Everything was exactly as pictured. The property owners were great. The lake is crystal clear. Overall, a great time had by all. Would definitely recommend
