This Spider Lake Cottage is the perfect place to enjoy the natural beauty of Spider Lake in comfort. The interior has been freshly painted, new carpet, two freshly remodeled bathrooms and new furniture home is tastefully decorated, and offers all amenities including; air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, crisp new linens for all beds and baths, and a Foosball table for family fun. Large windows upstairs and downstairs frame beautiful year-round views of the lake. There is 60' of private sandy frontage and dock for excellent swimming. Enjoy a sunset BBQ on the upper deck after a day on the lake, wander down the unpaved road through the woods, or head to downtown Traverse City (just 15 minutes away) for shopping, dining or sightseeing. Two kayaks and two paddle boards for use on the 450 acre all sports lake.

Pleasant stay in Traverse City

Had a great time in Traverse City. The cottage had a beautiful view of Spider Lake, and the home itself was cozy. A well-stocked kitchen was perfect for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner.

A little gem in Traverse City!

Didn’t Want to Leave!

This was our first visit to Michigan we fell in love. The cottage was in the perfect spot to explore the area - and to just sit back and relax. We enjoyed the sunrise every morning, kayaking, paddle boarding and sitting on the dock just enjoying the view. The cottage had everything we could possibly need and was very clean. We just loved everything about it!

This Place Is Fantastic!

We had a restful stay in this beautiful house by the lake. The house had everything we would ever need, was quiet, and just far enough off the beaten path to give us the solitude we wanted. The owners were easy to communicate with and promptly replied to our questions. We'll be back!

Beautiful quiet location right on the lake

House had all amenities we needed. Two baths, modern kitchen an amazing view from the back deck. We had a relaxing stay at this cozy house. Called Shawn’s boat rental and they delivered a pontoon right to our dock on Spider Lake! Just lovely. Highly recommended.

Beautiful lake cabin

We loved our stay at this beautiful home on Spider Lake. Everything about it is welcoming and cozy! To begin, the view cannot be beat and the deck overlooking the lake was a favorite hangout, especially in the morning and the evening. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was extremely well-kept. We look forward to staying here again!

Beautiful and peaceful

July 2024 Spider Lake Family of Five

Property was as described-clean and very comfortable. Great view of the lake and sand bottom for swimming. Fishing was quite good off the dock as well and the kids enjoyed the paddleboards. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Cozy kayaking

Great place! Very clean inside. Large kitchen. Amazing views of long section of lake. Lots of hiking nearby. Only complaint is I wish they had a gas bbq, and not just charcoal.

Peace on the lake

I arrived on a Thursday night and it was beautiful and quiet before the weekend boat traffic started up. There was lots of nature and peace in a well appointed, comfortable, clean lake home with an awesome view! Would love to return sometime!

Rest and Relax

I can't even list all of the good reasons to reccomend a stay here at this property. It was so nice and quiet. Wonderful view of the lake and daily visits from Pileated Woodpeckers, Blue Jays and a few ever present Black Squirrels. There was nothing that we would have needed that wasn't already here and all while being much closer to Traverse City that it would seem. We did actually leave the cabin and stay in Traverse City for a few nights before wrapping up our vacation. Looking back on it we would probably have just stayed at this property for the duration and just made a few trips into Traverse City. Traverse City is a outstanding place to walk around and have some great food and even greater beers among many other things. You will not regret staying here, the description is exactly what is says it is for this property.

Holiday Getaway

The breathtaking view, comfortable property, and perfect location have brought us back for a second straight year. In addition, the well appointed kitchen allows us to cook wonderful family meals (which is essential with two picky eaters). Hopefully, we can visit over the summer to enjoy lakeside activities!

Early fall getaway

2nd time staying at this location and it was great! We lucked out with the weather being in the mid-80's for early October and we were able to enjoy the lake. Great peaceful location and views - a true escape!

Spectacular view

The house was clean and in a perfect place. The view was something I could not get enough of. Enjoyed the fall colors. And would love to rent the house in the summer to enjoy the lake. Love to kayak. Provided great amenities that in the warmer weather would love to enjoy. Thank you

Great Spider Lake mini vacation

We enjoyed the row boat and kayaks. The lake was beautiful and calm. We took a couple trips into Traverse City for dinner and breweries and had a wonderful time.

Feels like home

Very comfortable lake house, the lake is very busy but you still feel secluded with all the trees which to us is a perfect balance. The house feels very much like a home with small touches that make it feel very comfortable to settle in.

Fun with family and friends

Brought our fishing boat. Kids caught a lot of fish on the lake and off from the dock. Kids had fun jumping off from dock and swimming. Went to sand bar one day! Wine tasting on Leelanau Penninsula one day. Clinch Park swimming and ice cream another day. Great house and location! We will be back for sure!

Wonderful lake cottage!

We had a great time in this lake house - loved having our own dock for fishing and we got a lot of use out of the kayaks and paddle boards. House was very clean and updated and was located in a cute and quiet lake community. We had fun exploring the area as well and frequently went into Traverse City. Be sure to check out Sleeping Bear Dunes and all the cute costal communities while you're in the area!
