Our favorite place at this unit was our lanai that looked out at the ocean. And the ocean was close enough to hear the waves at night. Enjoyable stay.

First time to Hana

Nice studio condo. Quiet, beautiful view of bay with black beach. It’s an adventure driving the road to Hāna. 7 Heavenly pools easy walk with awesome pounding surf at the opening of falls. Restful two days.

Amazing backyard surprise

Gorgeous little suits. Open air and worth it for the experience you get. I won't ruin the surprise, but absolutely gorgeous location. Try to get a top floor, as in the bottom level we heard our upstairs neighbors every move. Everyone was pretty mellow and quite by about 9.

Paradise

After a long day of hiking it was so nice to come back, clean up, and cool off on the lanai overlooking the beautiful Pacific. The sliding screen door allowed use to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Our stay was incredibly relaxing and we’ll definitely be back. We highly recommend this place for a comfortable and very relaxing stay. There are quiet hours posted but there was a group above us that stayed up late chatting loudly into the night. This is no fault of the property owner and we were still able to enjoy our stay. Just sorry other parties weren’t as considerate.

Beautiful Ocean Sound

Easy access to the unit from the parking lot was very helpful for unloading luggage. Room was clean; fresh flowers a nice touch. The table, chairs, and bed on the porch made for great relaxation to the sound of the ocean. Full-size refrigerator was a plus because we travel with our own food and the WIFI worked well. Although pricey for its size, this compact unit was a perfect base for exploring the area.

Lovely, too short stay in Hana

Loved our stay here- very clean and relaxed, beautiful view from the Lanai, and really loved the day bed for sitting out there. Appreciated the electric tea kettle (as tea drinkers) and just a very nice spot- very convenient and a lovely oasis after a day of adventuring. Lots of amenities on site that we did not have time to avail ourselves of, but would love to return. Thank you.

Property was clean and attractive. Some minor cosmetic things to update/fix but nothing to impact the vacation negatively. The location was lovely and convenient. The very short walk to the black sand beach was a fantastic sunrise! You can hear your neighbors a little more than I'd have liked. We loved our stay and would love to return!

Peaceful

Only stayed one night, but it was beautiful and would definitely stay again. The room is large. The lanai is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the views; we kept the door open (there's a screen door you can then keep closed to keep bugs out) and fell asleep to the sound of crashibg waves and gentle ocean breeze. The beach is a black sand beach and it was spectacular! The waves are quite large so it's not a great spot for swimming, but it offered an absolutely stunning sunrise view; definitely worth waking up for and walking along the beach area. Hana town is lovely. I wouldn't want to spend more than a night or two here because there isn’t too much variety in town, but it is a beautiful, peaceful area and I would stay in this condo again.

Beautiful View, Well Appointed, Great Location

The unit is “as advertised.” It was an easy check-in with access code. Comfy bed, kitchen had what we needed. Loved the note that informed us that the water from the tap is filtered. The view is incredible, the grounds are well manicured. Love the koi ponds and the stroll on the beach. This is my 2nd stay at Hana Kai (the 1st was in 2015). We will stay again when the opportunity arises:). Thank you!

Great Stay in Hana!

We were so tired after a long day on the road to Hana and it was the perfect ending to a long day to come sit on the comfy balcony sofa and look at the waves. We enjoyed being able to spend the night in Hana and start the next day without the crowds. There is a kitchen to make food and anything you could need! The host was very communicative and kind. Speaking to accessibility, there are no stairs, but there is a small lip of a couple inches required to get into the apartment. After that my wheelchair (16 inch seat) was able to get around everywhere except for into the bathroom but it is a small bathroom. Come here for great views and calm vibes! We also loved the posters around the apartment. We watched the Hawaiian film advertised on one and spent our trip listening to the ukelele player advertised on the other.

Good spot to stay in Hana

Everywhere is expensive in Hana so price aside, this was a good spot to stay if you're looking to break the road to Hana into 2+ days (although in our opinion you can 100% do it in one day). This was a clean and cute but no frills studio, with a great view of the ocean, and easy walk to the "downtown", nearby beach, and food trucks. Parking was also easy and on-site. The host generously helped us accommodate 4 guests in this small studio - 2 in the bed, 1 on a twin air mattress, and 1 in the day bed on the porch (but note - the porch is covered but NOT enclosed, so this set-up may not work well if there is bad weather). Only major complaint is despite knowing that we would have four guests, we were only left one set of extra sheets (besides the set on the bed) without extra blankets and only 2 bath towels to share between the 4 of us. I tried contact the host about getting more linens but did not get a response, so if you're trying to fit more than 2 people here, recommend requesting these extra items in advance.

This condo has a great view of the black sand beach and easy access down to it. It’s very clean and nice looking. It’s a perfect place for two. Loren was available to answer any questions we had and it’s an easy place to get to. I highly recommend it!

Heavenly Hana is a unique destination, far away from the busy and commercial Hawaii, and more like the idyllic image of the lush garden, soothing ocean waves and gentle breezes. Ocean View Condo provides all of what is perfect about Hana.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with the sound of the waves. And the amazing view. And the serenity of Hana. Own one of the only vacation rental condos in Hana? I was all in.

I also feel the energy of Ka'ahumanu, Hawaii's legendary queen, here. Kuhina Nui Ka'ahumanu was the kaumaka, or the favorite wife, of King Kamehameha, and she ruled as queen regent after his death for quite some time. The name of the condo combined with her birthplace located just around corner, a short hike around the point to the right of Hana Bay, spoke to me. Ka'ahumanu is also associated with birds, and one thing I notice whenever I stay in Hana is the birdsong. I incorporated this bird theme in the decor, from the bedspread to the lamps.

What makes this property unique

The jaw-dropping view where you can watch surfers from your own private lanai. Being able to walk the beach in the mornings, or walk to Hana town. Usually after the long drive, you're ready to relax once you get to Hana, and this condo offers all the amenities one could want after a day of roughing it on the Road to Hana.
