Experience a warm welcome just minutes from downtown! Our cozy retreat is ideally situated near the renowned Distilleries on the Bourbon Tour and local Breweries. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway for two or a relaxing escape with family and friends, our property has it all.

In the garage, you'll find a Level 2 Charger and two bicycles for exploring the famous Highlands area. The unit is connected to a shared courtyard where you can unwind or have a delightful barbecue by the fire. Should you require anything during your stay, we're here to assist. Our property is a mixed-use space. At the front on Barret Avenue, there's a Mortgage Company. Behind that, you'll find a Duplex with a family on the first floor and an individual on the second. In the small courtyard, there's a Firepit with six chairs and a Weber Grill. Towards the back, where the entrance is from the Brick Alley, you'll discover the Bungalow. Here's what you can expect when you park in the spacious two-car garage:

Street parking is readily available on one of the adjacent side streets or directly to the left in the grassy area when facing the garage. (We are working on adding gravel.) For added security, there is a Nest camera for anyone parking there.

Amazing place

This place is so fun and has some great small but memorable amenities! It was perfect for a family of 4 and 1 dog. Great location with a dog park and plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance. This was our first time in Kentucky and we can’t get over how love it was and how much there is to see and so just in Louisville alone! The fire pit is a great plus, I just wish there was a table and chairs out there to sit and eat after grilling out. We did so many great things and if we ever come back to this area will definitely stay again!!

Bourbon Trail Visit

This was a nice place. Everything was there that you could need. Great for a couple or small family. Close to downtown and the distilleries. There are some fun bars just down the block. Do t miss the Kabob shop on Baxter. We would stay again.

Fantastic oasis in the heart of Louisville

Beautiful property with every amenity you’ll need. Great location in a safe, fun neighborhood. Would return any time I was in the area. I personally thought the garage was kinda of greenish rather than yellow, but i loved being able to store the car in the garage.

Bourbon and Beyond Our Expectations!!

We came to town for the Bourbon and Beyond Music Fedtival and chose this cute home for our stay. Great location - walking distance to fun shops and restaurants. Hope to rent this again for next year’s festival!!

Great place to stay. Very clean. Close to restaurants and shops. Not too far of a drive to the distilleries- you could actually walk if you wanted to! Bed was very comfy and while we didn’t cook the kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely return if we are ever in the area again!

Loving Louisville

We went to Louisville Ky to celebrate our anniversary and to enjoy visiting some distilleries. Chris’ place was exactly as described in the listing. It was clean and convenient to access the area to visit the sights of Louisville and the surrounding area. There are several eateries within walking distance from the apartment. We enjoyed the fact that there were board games and a bourbon barrel checkers game. The use of the garage was a big plus. We would recommend Chris’ place to friends and family looking for a place to stay in Louisville.

Don't Judge a Book by It's Cover

It was kind of hard to find using the directions on maps. It is actually an alleyway entrance instead of on the street listed. The directions on the email that I received stated that it was the only yellow garage door on the street. The garage door is faded and appears beige, not yellow as I was searching for. Also there were multiple trash cans blocking the entrance at the garage. The outside of the property made us concerned for where we were staying and what we were staying in, but once we entered the rental, it was very clean and well appointed and we felt at ease. I would stay here again.

Great place to stay!

We loved this rental for our four night stay in the heart of the highlands. The rental is updated, clean and well stocked. We especially loved the location and being able to walk to lots of great restaurants and shops! Highly recommended.

Perfect week in Louisville Kentucky

Our Stay at the Bourbon Bungalow was 100% perfect for my Family's visit to Louisville Kentucky. Clean, Cozy and Complete with all Amenities. Location was so Convenient also to Louisville Expo center- 10 min drive. Owner was so helpful and responded immediately. Fun location in Highlands

The bungalow was a great base for a getaway to Louisville. Only a few minutes drive from downtown, and lots of great restaurants, bars, and other uniques shops within walking distance. The bakery around the corner is a must visit.

Perfect Location to downtown

This location was perfect for my family. It was extremely close to downtown which is where we had to be each day during our stay. The host thought of everything it seems. The rental was loaded up with all the supplies we needed. It was a great quiet location which is just what we needed for our stay. We are so glad we found this place.

This is my new spot!!

First of all the property owner was exceptional! We couldn’t find the proper remote and the property owner rode a bicycle for miles just to come solve our problem, and was super easy to talk to. The place is completely renovated with beautiful artwork enough space for a family of four or six to enjoy your vacation. The owner thought of every possible amenity right down to a miniature sewing kit which I did need during my stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and not a lot of places in Louisville. Have actual offstreet parking as far as rentals go this rental has a two car garage!!! The backyard spot with the fire pit is so beautiful and relaxing. I look forward to coming and spending a weekend when I have no requirements except to relax! And this will be my spot I will be staying!!!

Nice garage apartment

Apartment is as advertised. Close to everything. It was the perfect size for my husband and I. We did have an issue but it was resolved quickly and the owner went above what he needed to, to take care of it. If i could make any suggestions it would be to put blinds on the lower windows in the kitchen for more privacy and to have a binder or something with the check out directions clear and maybe restaurant suggestions, grocery store info etc in there also. I have been to other vrbo homes and they had that available which was quite helpful to have a locals take on what is good in the area. If I hadn't looked in the guest book I would not have known what we needed to do for check out. If I have to come to the area again I would book this apartment again.
