We stayed for a long weekend - absolutely loved it! Really got to experience Maine for what it is. Much needed R&R for the family. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and well-equipped.
We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Home is exactly as pictured and we couldn’t have asked for a better location. Perfectly stocked for all our needs.
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean, and the view of the lake was really nice. We had a busy weekend and didn't spend a lot of time there, but it was very nice.
The house is amazing. Super clean, amazing view and the owner is very communicative. If I could give a higher rating I would! We would definitely love to come back some day!
Great time. Excellent, comfy place. Was a little confused when told how to enter code for door since you really can’t see there’s a keypad above the door handle.
My family ranged in age from 19 to 70 and the property provided the perfect backdrop for all our events and antics. The pond surprised us with two good catches and a few bass. We ventured out and about into the town of Lincoln, Bangor and Aroostook county. We even had several conversations with the neighbors. Thank you for the quick responses to our questions and concerns.
Nice, quiet, slice of heaven. Would have liked an easier way to access the water for our 3 year old, but he was brave and jumped in once. Saw lots of ducks, loons, and chipmunks. Shaun was easy going and accommodating. Had a couple hick ups with wiring, but he helped us with that. Had a great family trip!
We loved this beautiful 3 bedroom home on the water! Clean, nicely decorated, and there is a beautiful view of the water. There was even a welcome basket waiting for us with snacks, coffee /creamers for the morning and a bottle of local wine. Beds/mattresses were very comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. The owner was very responsive and followed up during our stay to make sure that we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this lovely home on the Narrows!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Little Narrows Retreat! 4th of July week on the lake was something special - chilling by the lake, bonfire, s’mores and watching fireworks. Our objectives for the week were to chill out some days and also take day trips around central and eastern Maine (Baxter state park, Acadia and down east). Lincoln is a perfect location for that. Also the fishing (right off the dock!) was superb. Shaun was a great host - very responsive to our questions and requests. Highly recommended for a family lake house vacation in Maine.
This was a wonderful property! The house itself is spacious, cleaned, and well stocked. (When we got there, we wished we had brought a baby gate to prevent the little one from going upstairs, but we found one in the closet!) It’s near enough to town to run to the store if you need something, but feels very relaxing and remote. It really felt like “home away from home” for the few days we stayed.
We had a 2.5 year old and 4 year old with us, and they had a blast! (They especially liked watching the little sunfish that hung out around the shore.) The lake was wonderful for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing.
The host was very nice and easy to communicate with!
Our family would definitely stay here again!
Great wifi for remote work x2. With two of us working remotely either on video calls or doing data-intensive software engineering all day, we appreciated the TWO quiet desk locations and excellent wifi.
Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals and loads of spices if you don't bring your own like we do. Coffee and snacks available at checkin were a nice touch, and perfect for our late checkin to buy us time to go to grocery store in the morning.
Beds and furniture were comfortable, home was well cared for.
We brought our own kayaks and the dock wasn't in yet, but it looked like setup and a good group of boats available. My husband caught fish every time he went out. I opted to just paddle and enjoy the quiet.
If I could give more than five stars, I would! This beautiful home was peaceful, fully equipped with everything we could conceivably need, and full of stunning views! Our host was extremely responsive and helpful. This home felt very remote and tucked away, but was only a ten minute drive to everything in town, so it was super convenient! The inside living space is on the smaller side, but with an abundance of Adirondack chairs and outdoor seating we never felt cramped! (Even with 8 adults and 2 little ones!) I cannot recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with stunning views and comfortable accommodations!
We recently stayed at the Little Narrows Retreat and were thoroughly impressed and pleased with our choice. We arrived to a house that was neat as a pin both inside and out. The attention to detail was very impressive. The house is modern and extremely well outfitted with everything you need to be comfortable and content. The host has literally thought of everything you might need to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing.
With all the coming and going, the electronic door locks were a nice feature as well and the host was thoughtful enough to program them with the last 4 digits of our phone number so super easy for everyone to remember.
The provided WiFi signal and speed was excellent and the Roku TVs made it easy to access our private streaming services during our stay.
The dock is fantastic for just relaxing and taking in the views or fishing from it. We enjoyed just watching the loons do their thing. It’s perfect for keeping a boat or other watercraft during your stay and the launch is literally minutes away and super convenient to use.
There is tons of seating for having a fire or eating outside on the patio and enjoying the lake. The two gas grills are very convenient to use.
I’d also like to point out the neighbors are super nice and welcoming to guests.
We could not be more pleased with our stay and hope to return again in the near future. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven and making it easy to turn your house into our temporary home away from home!
Shaun is so easy to work with! The house is very clean and super cute! We appreciate the cleanliness. We love having the washer & dryer & dishwasher—can really vacation! This place had a lot of little extra amenities which are a fun surprise. We felt very comfortable here. Our favorite spot was sitting at the kitchen table in the morning with a steaming cup of coffee looking at the lake. This was a great place to explore Baxter State Park & Moosehead Lake region in day trips.
Working trip to build an additional for a family member. This was a fantastic place to come back to for relaxing and decompressing. Super easy check in and the owner is super attentive. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing stay. Beautiful views, night time fires with marshmallows and lots of kayaking with family. Couldn’t ask for more. Well stocked and everything we needed.
we had an amazing time with grandkids. beautiful home

I'm a hard-working professional who decided to buy a home on a lake in Maine to enjoy with my family and now I'm hoping to rent it to you as well! I'm a person--not a property management company--so you'll get a 1-on-1 customer experience when inquiring or renting. I recently purchased this home from the previous owner who also rented it out through VRBO, so that's why this is a new listing. It has been a vacation home/rental property since 2018.
Why they chose this property
I grew up spending weeks every summer on my grandmother's camp in Lincoln. As an adult it was my goal to own a property on those same Lincoln lakes for my own kids to enjoy the way I did.
Now, I can not only share this beautiful "camp" with my kids (and hopefully their kids some day), but I can share it with those who are looking for that same experience even for just a few days at a time.
What makes this property unique
Whether it's kayaking in the summer, leaf-peeping in the fall, ice-fishing or snowmobiling in the winter, the one thing that is certain is you will feel relaxed in both the indoor and outdoor space. Since I've spent a lot of time in this area in my life, feel free to ask for ideas for things to do in the area, restaurant recommendations, or even for the neighbors' names so you can say hi!
