Relax on serene Little Stone Lake with boat access to fully recreational Stone Lake. Enjoy the private dock - perfect for fishing or enjoying the amazing sunset views! The backyard offers plenty of green space for yard games, with a gradual entry into the sandy bottom lake - perfect for swimming!
Bring your own boat, or enjoy the lake from the complimentary kayaks provided! Fire pit right on the lake!
The cottage provides the perfect mix of quiet relaxation with access to entertainment.

The kitchen is fully stocked and a charcoal grill is available, just bring your food and charcoal! There are games, puzzles, and books at the cottage, offering night time or winter entertainment by the gas stove.
Plenty of lawn chairs available for the firepit.
All linens provided.
*bunk bed is a double on top and bottom - sofa sleeper is a single*
*Dock is removed from water in mid-October*

Pets are welcome at the cottage, please communicate with us prior to booking about bringing a pet. While staying we ask you keep them off the furniture/beds, clean up after them, and crate them if left alone in the cabin.

You can easily park your cars, boat or trailer on the gravel driveway or RV Pad. No interaction or keys required for check-in, you will receive an access code to the cottage door. The driveway has video surveillance.

Little Stone Lake is a quiet lake, connected by channel to the larger recreational Stone Lake, offering a perfect boating or fishing lake. The town itself has delicious dining options, a craft beer/coffee bar, a fun winery, grocery options, and a bait shop. The cottage is only 1.5 miles from town and 13 miles from Hayward, offering larger city amenities.

Wonderful stay in Stone Lake

Loved everything about our stay. The property and lake are relaxing and beautiful. The cabin was a perfect size for our family and being dog friendly was certainly a plus. Super close to the Cranberry fest so we had a nice day at the festival as well.

Great getaway.

The lake is crystal clear. The house is very cozy. Everything we could have asked for was ready and waiting for us. The sun sets were picturesque. Anyone wanting to stay here would not be disappointed. We had a very nice time and made memories.

Great cabin on a clear lake

We had a great week long stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed and we enjoyed the puzzles and games that were provided. The lake is perfect for swimming and fishing. No weeds at all and a nice sandy bottom right off shore. We would definitely love to visit again!

Great shoreline

Very clean, quaint cabin. Shoreline is sandy and perfect to swim and kayak, paddle board from. Great patio with lots of outside seating. This is a great place to relax and enjoy family time. Stone Lake has some great little restaurants and a fun coffee bar.

Family vaca

The cabin/house was very clean, everything worked well. We loved using the kayaks and there were many fun things to do in the area. Loved the dock, The Hayward family restaurant and antique shops plus the fishing museum. We also played board games and had a bon fire. Very nice, highly recommend.

Relaxing and peaceful. Had kayaks too. The only thing we will do differently next time is make sure we have a boat option. Otherwise it was perfect. My son said he wants us to buy it 😀

Stone Lake Gem

This was a perfect base camp for our fishing and hiking adventures in Hayward. Beautiful dock on a very clean and clear lake. We had no problem parking our boat trailer on the property and still have room to take our vehicle into town. The cabin is well stocked and the owners have included many extra touches that you don’t typically see in VRBO rentals. Kleenex, dispensers of shampoo and body wash in both showers, dog bowls, bags, to name a few. Communication was easy, prompt and professional. This is a true gem in Stone Lake!

Cozy Cabin

The cabin was perfectly adequate for our snowmobiling weekend excursion for our family of 4 and two pooches. Our kids loved the foosball table and it was so nice to be able bring our dogs. The cabin itself is a bit dated, the couch needed repair, and was missing a few basic kitchen amenities which is why I didn't give 5 stars all around. For future riders, access to the trails is by lake only so be sure to consider ice conditions before booking.

Snow trip

Nice stay for a winter weekend

Nice, cozy cottage for a winter weekend. We were able to enjoy the outdoors and then come back and enjoy the cottage with family. Would certainly stay here again and recommend to others!

Relaxing Summer Family Vacation

We stayed at the cabin in late August just before the kids went back to school. The stay was great overall. The cabin was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Some highlighted features of the cabin that made the stay even more enjoyable. - The beach, it was perfect for the 2 kids and was even more impressive than we expected. It had clean sand, only a few rocks and minimal weeds. - The washer and dryer to help with all the towels and suits used at the beach - The very clear and clean water of Stone Lake and Little Stone Lake - The cabin is on Little Stone Lake which is a no wake lake and very quiet, but easy access to Stone Lake. - The cabin is clean, spacious, and comfortable. Which was great for the one rainy afternoon we had. - The road is a quiet dead end drive and cabin set back from the road a ways. I don't recall seeing or hearing another car during our stay.

Excellent location

We rented this cabin for a 4 night get away and it didn’t disappoint! We brought our pontoon boat and the lake was absolutely wonderful! We loved the ease of the beautiful dock, nice beach to sit in our chairs in the water and even put our lily pad off the dock. Cabin was cozy and the central air was great! Cute little town to get food and everything you forgot and more! If we don’t find a cabin to purchase near this at area, we will definitely be back to this cabin next year!

Cozy and relaxing cabin

My family and I had a great weekend at this cabin. It was very clean, cozy and everything we were hoping for. It was still very wintry out, so we were thankful for the indoor fireplace and the xtra comfortable furniture. Very high quality bedding and mattresses, kids loved the double sized bunk beds. Would love to visit again!

Relaxation at its Finest!

This cabin was the most comfortable, cozy, clean, and quiet cabin that we have ever rented. It couldn't have been more perfect. It's even better than the pictures. My favorite thing was relaxing on the comfortable furniture in front of the fireplace, with a beautiful view of the lake. Everything that my friends and I needed was available in the cabin and the hosts are very responsive. The local establishments had great food and friendly staff and customers. We would love to return in the summer to enjoy the warmer weather and lake activities.

Winter getaway

We rented this place a for a few days of snowmobiling in the beginning of February. Cabin was just as you see in the pictures. Very roomy and cozy, comfortable beds, has everything you need, and trail access right from the cabin. Highly recommend.

Perfect place and location

What first struck me was how clean everything was. I can tell the owners put a lot of effort modernizing the cabin and giving us a great experience. New (or newish) refrigerator, stove, sofas, beds, etc. Also, it has a beautiful view of the lake and is convenient to town. I really hope we get to stay there again.
