Amazing place w/a picture window view of Mt Sopris. So comfortable and relaxing. House was pristinely clean. Homeowner also gets an A+ for prompt response to all questions we had.
Love this place! 5 miles from town, out in the country, complete with cows next door. Very peaceful and relaxing with a fantastic view of Mt Sopris from the patio. We soaked in the hot tub every day. There are 3 steps in-between most of the rooms, so a rather unusual layout. Large bathroom, comfortable furniture, fun kitchen, gas grill a plus. A really fun stay!
The cabin lived up to all of the previous reviews ... we stayed here 16 nights while visiting my 84-year old father who lives in the area ... was a great home for us during this time. Relaxing. For those who are sensitive to the dry air of higher elevation, it seemed that being so close to the rushing stream mitigated those effects. We hope to be back!
The cabin is very cozy and we loved the location. Everything matched up to the pictures and online description, and the owner was great with any questions we had. The views and location are stunning. Highly recommend!
This is a wonderful property. We stayed here during our daughter's Spring Break. We spent most days skiing at Snowmass (~45 minute drive) and explored a little. Coming home to this cabin was a delight. The cabin is warm and cozy. The kitchen window peering out at Mt. Sopris is amazing. The creek just outside the second bedroom and TV room is lovely to listen to. We will be back.
2nd year in a row I’ve stayed here. Out of the fray but still quite convenient to Carbondale and Aspen if you don’t mind a little drive. Very peaceful after a great day skiing.
A charming, rustic, creekside cabin with modern amenities. Beautiful views of the mountains and Ranch. Location felt like solitude but was conveniently located close to town and outdoor recreation. Beds with luxurious linens felt like you were sleeping on a cloud! The kitchen had nice cookware and everything we needed to cook our meals. We especially love the giant covered patio complete with a nice gas grill, hot tub, and sauna house- this saved us after skiing everyday. There is even an extra refrigerator by the sauna for your cool beverages. Host is quick to communicate and accommodate. Would recommend this property for your stay in the Roaring Fork Valley.
This was our second stay at this adorable, cozy cabin. Our family of 4 finds it perfect for our needs when we are in town for a weekend of skiing and hot spring action. The location is great with amazing views of Mt. Sopris. The cows and animals on-site are a great touch for the kids and just general staring out the windows. Comfy beds and linens, towels and toiletries. Nothing more we could ask for and we look forward to staying again for our next Glenwood/Carbondale trip!
This was our second time staying at Lynda’s cabin and we love the addition of the sauna. The cabin is warm and cozy and a great place for a family to relax. We hope to be back again soon!
We really enjoyed the rustic, close to everything cabin. If you are looking for a hot tub with a view, this is your place! Thank you for having everything we could need. :)
Our stay in the 1907 Cabin was a dream come true. The setting was incredible. We watched sunrises and sunsets from the hot tub and enjoyed the detox of the sauna. The cabin itself was adorable and rustic and perfect. We will DEFINITELY be back.
We met our daughter who lives in Salt Lake City here to celebrate Thanksgiving together. It was a wonderful, beautiful, relaxing trip! The cabin is south of Carbondale so it feels remote, yet close enough to drive to anything you may need. The view from the cabin of Mt. Sopris is amazing! My husband loved the creek beside the cabinand, and my daughter and I enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. The cabin had everything we needed and more! Beds were great, loved the heated floors, and had plenty of space for the 3 of us. Communication was great and responses were quick. Would love to come back and experience the spring or summer here sometime!
This cabin is adorable. It has everything you need plus--an awesome view of Mt Sopris, a hot tub and sauna and "The Barn"! These areas helped make our stay very special.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location is beautiful and quiet, but close to the conveniences of town. Loved listening to the creek at night.
We really enjoyed our stay at the creek side cabin. Kitchen had everything we needed as well as amazing mountain views. Hot tub was relaxing at the end of the day. The creek was really moving and the sound was a nice peaceful backdrop for reading. Nice walking/bike trail, accessible across the highway. We would definitely stay here again.
This cabin is in a beautiful location! The cabin is quaint, and nicely decorated. Quite roomy. The location of the bathroom is a little difficult as you have to go through the master bedroom to get to it. So it might not work for all groups.
We had some issues with the shower and oven, but for the most part we very much enjoyed our stay.
The view was excellent. We arrived early and were able to check. The cabin was warm and inviting. We had everything we needed. The sound of water was our lullaby each night. The drive to Glenwood Springs is easy and quick. We had a perfect stay and have already recommended to family and friends.
We have five grown children and one grandchild. We enjoy the quiet solitude this property affords us. Yet appreciate being a quick 10 minute drive into town for all conveniences.
Why they chose this property
We all need a reset at times. This property provides that opportunity; to reset on the property or to reset in the surrounding nature with it's endless available activities. Whether sitting in the yard or hot tub enjoying the wide open space and beautiful view of Mount Sopris, or the amazing stars at nighttime or sitting next to the creek watching the water flow, enjoying the gentle babbling; this property offers a perfect reset. Walking literally across the highway to a paved biking/walking path which extends beside the Crystal River, makes exercise readily available and inviting along with nearby downhill mountain biking paths. Fly fishing is not far away in the Frying Pan, Crystal, Roaring Fork or Colorado Rivers; yet another outdoor activity to experience. The ability to enjoy nearby hikes or hikes along Kebler Pass on the way to Crested Butte or to marvel at the breathtaking beauty of flaming orange and yellow aspens during the fall along Kebler Pass or head over McClure Pass to the wine country in Paonia; these are some of the reasons we love this property. Add in cross country skiing and the proximity to four ski resorts whose turn offs are all less than forty minutes from the property and you have found the perfect place to enjoy every season.
