What a pretty and serene location. We loved the stream and the Mountain Views. The house COULD be great but is pretty run down. The hot tub decks slants enough where the water level is 6 inches different from one side to the other. This made us question the stability of the deck. The dishes in the kitchen were a hodgepodge of random pieces and were pretty dirty/grimy. We had no water for over 12 hours and waited all day for someone to come fix it. The appliances were in disrepair with one stove burner labeled “do not use” and the fridge shelves were held together by duct tape. Due to the remote location, communication with the owner usually took several hours for a response which made getting issues fixed challenging but this may be due to no cell service in the area. The driveway is also very steep and I would recommend 4 wheel drive. Overall we loved the location but were disappointed that the listing left out key details/issues noted above that would’ve given us pause to stay here.

Needs a little upkeep
If everything worked it would have been a better vacation. Let’s of inconvenience.
This was a great cabin! Wayah Road is beautiful and the location couldn’t be better. You can hear the calming mountain stream nearby. The beds were comfortable but you may want to bring your own pillows. The kitchen was well stocked and there was everything needed to do a few loads of laundry. The Roku TV was a nice touch. My tweenage kids thought the WiFi needed to be faster but enjoyed seeing and hearing the Nantahala from the hot tub on the porch. We truly enjoyed this cabin and would love to visit again!
My Wife stayed here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was wonderful. The pictures listed don't do it justice. We would recommend traveling with a pillow, the beds/pillows aren't as comfortable as we're used to, but we would absolutely stay here again.
My wife and I had a long weekend and I’m so glad we chose to spend it in this cozy cabin. The location is quiet and remote yet only 20 minutes from whitewater rafting and at least one excellent restaurant. Possibly the greatest attribute is the beautiful river that is literally across the street. You can open the sliding glass doors and listen the water gurgling by all night long. My wife loved spending the day reading a book while soaking in the hot tub overlooking the river. I spent my days fishing in WhiteOak Creek catching beautiful trout literally 50 yards from the cabin. The cabin is clean and has everything you need- a well-supplied kitchen, a nice new television, a small fireplace and a big porch, making this the perfect getaway for a couple or a small group of friends. It could also be a great fishing cabin for three or four fly fisherman. The river in front of the house feeds into the Nantahala River which is considered one of the best trout streams in the southeast. Great outdoor adventures are nearby or you can spend your time snuggled into this great little mountain cabin. We will be back.

This is the perfect cabin for a quiet getaway and to spend family time. The area is very peaceful. The sound of the waterfalls and creek is amazing when you want to open the front doors or drinking coffee on the porch. Hope you love it as much as we do!
