Great location and great place

Loved this little sweet slice of heaven. Brought out two little kids who loved playing on the sled that is at the house and the cozy warm fires that are upstairs and downstairs. Kitchen has a lot of things to cook with which made it feel like home. GREAT location - stores and downtown super close and Donner lake right in your view from deck. Very clean and cozy. We loved our stay!

Dirty Home

Location is FANTASTIC for access to days at the lake. However, the house was VERY dirty, dingy, and run down. Was staying for a quiet long weekend at the lake for my 40th birthday and just wanted a get away close to the lake... otherwise we likely would have looked for a hotel or returned home. Some of our family returned home instead of staying due to the lack of cleanliness. Love the area but would not stay in this home again.

sweep pine neddles

Great place to stay, all bedrooms are downstairs and all living upstairs. Harder for older folks. Pine needles could have been swept up at drive way and front door, again old people and slippery. Otherwise all good.

Great Donner Property

Comfortable and charming Donner Lake home close to the water and town. Had everything we needed, and we had a great stay. Property owner was very attentive. Two thumbs up from someone who grew up in Truckee and knows the area well.

Great location, close walking distance to public piers/rocky beach. Comfortable interior. Lots of board games & books for use. Full serviceable kitchen. Spacious balcony. We would stay again.. perhaps try a winter trip here.

Loved Our Stay!

Our family of 4 (kids ages 12 & 15) had a wonderful stay at the "Tree House". We came for hiking around the Donner Lake area; beautiful trails around Boreal. House was very comfortable, well stocked, clean and I felt more spacious than the pictures made it appear. Had coffee filters, salt & pepper, a few different spice blends and more than enough kitchen gadgets that I never got a chance to use. Wifi worked well. Instructions were clear, although I did need the "Mister" to show me how to use the TV. We ended up doing our shopping at Safeway about a mile away, but later discovered there was a convience store 2 blocks away that we could have gotten our items at since we were only there the weekend. They carried tri-tip, ground beef, bacon and a few select fresh produce items, etc. My only complaint was that we didn't stay long enough! Thank you for letting us stay at your vacation rental. It was a very enjoyable trip!

Great location and clean, spacious rental.

Donner Lake house

Overall the house is excellent for two or more people for a weekend or week of fun in Tahoe. The house is comfortable and warm feeling. It is open with plenty of room for family friends and guest. The porch is a great place to cookout or eat on with plenty of room. The house was clean and organized. The Treehouse was delightful with many amenities for cooking and enjoyment with guests and family. Great location and easy to find. It definitely is place you can go year after year.

Summer Retreat

We had a lovely stay at the lake house. It's a great location just a block away from Donner Lake to enjoy all of the summer lake activities. The house felt spacious and bright. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with the essential cooking supplies. A very relaxing and active week in Tahoe. We hope to be back!

Wonderful for families!

We had a wonderful few days in the "Treehouse." Very comfortable house, fully stocked with everything one could need, felt very much like a home. Located conveniently to Truckee, restaurants, grocery, a beautiful state park and all kinds of recreation. The kids loved the boat rentals 5 minutes away and the lake, as did we. Perfect for families with young children (ours are 8 and 7).

Perfection!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house in Donner/Truckee. It was extremely clean, well stocked, and was furnished nicely. Coordinating our stay with Michael, the owner, was very convenient. We would definitely like to stay here again!

Perfect getaway!

We loved the "Treehouse"! Perfect location (walking distance to beach), great deck with a view if the lake and it was so clean!!! Well stocked with everything we needed. The cabin made for a very relaxing family vacation. We would love to stay again! Only 1 recommendation: the mattress in the first bedroom should definitely be replaced. One if the most uncomfortable mattresses ever 😄

Great Time

My husband and three children and I had a great family vacation in this rental. It was the prefect get away to kick off our summer together. Kids played on the beach at West End Donner Lake's public beach just 10 minutes away, we bbq'd dinner on the back deck, kids rode bikes out front, and everyone had a room of their own. Our only issue was the queen size beds. We didn't find them comfortable. Well, one was more comfortable than the other and we had to trade with our ten year old due to the lack of comfort we were feeling by night two. We packed books and games for the kids, but the house had children's books and games for the whole family to enjoy. Linens were there, a hair dryer, and iron. Arrival instructions and check out procedure were easy and fair. Felt the price was right too! Over all the experience was fantastic and we all drove off feeling very happy and relaxed. We look forward to making it an annual family trip.
