The Space

The first thing you'll notice when you arrive is the outdoor living space on the ground level. Comfortable furniture, a BBQ grill and that all important swing makes this the perfect hang out space. Although the home is spacious, we know you want to be outside when you are at the beach, and this is the perfect hang out spot.

The spacious deck is the perfect spot to either begin or end your day. Gaze at the surf or the both!

Venture inside and you'll find everything you need for your home away from home. Ample seating for game playing and TV watching. Counter seating, in addition to the dining table mean there is room for all at mealtime. The well-equipped kitchen boasts updated appliances and the very rare in Fort Morgan, gas range! You enjoy preparing simple meals after a fun day at the beach.

There are two bedrooms that share a hall bath (tub/shower combination) and a primary bedroom with a private bath. The master has a soaking tub and a separate shower.

Fort Morgan

Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain, and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.

Family trip

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was nice, the view perfect and beautiful. The fenced in yard was nice for the kids. My mom's a professional housekeeper though and found a bunch of issues with the cleanliness in showers and the bar was sticky when we got there. A few dishes were dirty when we pulled them out to cook. The gas stove was a surprise to me. Kids loved it and we had a good vacation. Quick walk to the beach. Nice that some beach supplies were included. We'd possibly stay again just because of the location and fenced in yard for kids.

A Nice little Get Away

It was a nice little get away. A few structural things needed repair but this didn’t impede our time. The only things that we felt could have been better is that the master tub water drained and we were not able to use it and the TV buffered and kicked us off every time we tried to watch anything in the evening. However, the quality and price was great and we enjoyed our time over Mothers Day Weekend.

Very Nice Beach Home

Fort Morgan family vacation

We had so much fun visiting Gulf Shores. The house was very clean and the perfect size for our family (2 toddlers, my husband, my parents and myself). The access to the beach was a close and easy walk. It did take between 20-30 minutes to get to attractions in Gulf Shores. We flew in so It would have been nice to have some kitchen items like spices, trash bags and additional paper products. We had to purchase and then throw out which felt like a waste. The TV in the living room worked but we had a hard time getting the bedroom TVs on. There were several children’s beach toys and extra lawn chairs which was great! The house also had a pack and play which was very helpful. Overall I would recommend!

There is a variety of seating and a swing, bonus! Everything was super clean, the beds were all very comfortable, and everything was very kid friendly. Our only downfall was the location to the beach. The walk wasn’t bad at all, but we have 3 kids under 6 and for them it was challenging to walk back and fourth. Overall we were highly satisfied and would definitely recommend!

Remarkable

This home had everything anyone would need. No need to pack the fans if you sleep with one. This house has an abundance of them. Just steps away from the gulf beautiful views. Only downfall of our trip was the dang cold and that awful wind. Didn’t make fishing any fun. Will be back in august.

Summer Vacation 2022

We love the area because it is quiet and the beach isn’t crowded. Smiles N Waves accommodated our party of 5 well. We loved the large master suite, the well equipped kitchen, and the outdoors spaces. The front deck had a nice view of the ocean since there is not a home directly in front of this property. There is a bit of a walk to beach access. This wasn’t really a problem for us as we just learned to pack light for our beach days! I was very impressed with the property management team at Coastal View Vacations. They were helpful and provided prompt responses to my questions!

Perfect vacation rental

The only problem was the lack of available kitchen supplies. There were a good amount of bowls for mixing, and the pots and pans were adequate, but there were not baking pans. It’s hard to make cinnamon rolls without a pan. We made it work, but had to get creative. Overall the stay was very relaxing and the home was supplied with unexpected things like beach chairs and sand toys.

The stay was ok. I wasn’t expecting to be so far away from the attractions I wanted to attend. Very upset about the amount of tissue they had. Floors was not clean, There was no refreshen of the house. Bathroom face bowls had a draining problem. Dead insects in window seals and on floors, Dishes dirty, and checkout time was not good. 10:00am is not even a half a day to depart considering you’re not allowed to check in until after 4:00 pm. Overall I was very disappointed and will never consider this again.

Beach getaway for busy nurse and family

The property was amazing! There was sand in the bed before we even got into it. Don't expect any seasonings or anything to be there. There are 2 locked rooms that my husband joked being their camera rooms. It's hard not to get up at the crack of dawn because there is no curtains in the room sadly. The view was gorgeous and so worth the 11 hour drive. Now before our reservation I was asked to change my reservation a month or two after it was already set so the family that owns the home could stay there. They were going to give me an extra day if I switched which was impossible with both my husband and all the kids schedule so I had to decline. They said fine and a week later I'm being called back AGAIN saying the owners canceled my reservation because they were originally going to Disney,but somebody in their family was pregnant and wanted to stay at their beach house instead. This put a really bad taste in my mouth for VRBO properties because they were allowing this family to just cancel me. With alot of stress and words back and fourth and I'm sorry there's nothing we can do I was passed. We were about a month or two before our vacation and there was nothing else I could find so I told the company coastal view that this was a legal issue to sign a contract and then be forced out of that contract with no other options. Anyways they called me back AGAIN the next day and said the owner of coastal view properties was going to let that family stay in his house so that way it didn't cause problems with our reservation that they had already td me been canceled. If your planning on coming to this hidden treasure getaway just make sure ur not booking around the same time the family will want to be there because I don't think if I would had fought so hard we would had been able to stay...

Great house, great location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ten of us (4 adults & 6 kids) comfortably stayed here for 4 nights / 5 days. We LOVED the close proximity to the beach. Our kids range in age from 11 to 18 and we felt comfortable letting them walk back & forth from the beach to the house. The beach is clean & beautiful! We stayed on the main drag in Orange Beach last year; this was a much different experience... quieter, farther from attractions. Both have their appeal! Dollar General is about 12 minutes away, and everything else (groceries, WalMart, shopping & restaurants) is at least 20 minutes away. We enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning, looking at the ocean. Beds are comfy, showers are nice, & the house is clean & pretty. The kitchen is stocked well, and there is plenty of storage space. Washer & dryer are conveniently located and work well. We used the grill several times, and enjoyed spending a couple of evenings hanging out on the patio furniture in the car port area. Several of us went for walks/runs on the road just south of the house; it's a quiet road without much traffic, and there are lots of pretty houses & views to look at. We really enjoy the following in Orange Beach / Gulf Shores: The Track & Adventure Island for mini golf & go-karts; Sea-n-Suds, The Gulf & Oyster House for restaurants; and Surf Style & Ron Jon for shopping. The property manager was very friendly, helpful, & quick to reply. Let her know if something is wrong! Highly recommend!

We loved sitting on the front porch with the ocean breeze and lovely view. The house was extremely clean. It was well stocked with all we needed to cook. The updated beach themed decor and comfortable furniture made it a joy to stay there with our family.The close proximity to the beach and the many delicious restaurant choices made it a wonderful location. My whole family said it was a great vacation and we look forward to planning another trip to "Smiles N Waves".
