Attention to detail amazing with this property! Everything you need is there. Back porch amazing view, great fishing from the dock. We all loved it and will return!
We immensely enjoyed our stay, fantastic house and awesome lake access!! Property was as described and Meredith was very kind and communicative! We will definitely return!
The description of the house in VRBO is accurate. The neighborhood is quiet but also close to Hiawasee. If you like the outdoors, there is plenty to do. We went hiking, ziplining, and visited Helen. The house has plenty of lake activities and games. Overall, it was a great vacation.
Such a great and relaxing weekend on the lake. Hiked around the area. Shopped and dined in Hiawassee just 3 minutes away. Clean, roomy, great view. Definitely a great lakefront mountain house that we will surely return to.
We had an awesome stay in an exceptionally appointed house. This house has everything you need for an awesome time. Layout is great for everyone to sit around and play games, cook, or just talk by the fire.
House was perfect for our family, in a great location on the lake with a quiet cove and good deep water dock. Beautiful property, great house in an amazing location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay celebrating my parents’ 50th anniversary! The location was so pretty and rather quiet. It had everything we needed, including floats, etc for the lake.
Great place to stay close to shops, restaurants and nightlife . We did not have the best weather but we made the most of our stay. Meredith was great with communication and answered quickly. We were in the house during hurricane Helena and some damage to the house and she responded very quickly. Will definitely stay again hopefully better weather next time
Every year, a girls' trip is scheduled with my daughters and a few of their friends. This year was our first trip north to the lake/mountains. We chose this home due to its amazing views, lake access and back deck, which we spent the whole weekend on! We didn't feel like we were only two hours from home! The night temps and sky were amazing! Our first night we had trouble lighting and maintaining the new-looking gas grill. The housekeeper sent her "nephew" over to help and he was able to fix it while facetiming his girl who was crying on the other end for us all to hear. The home itself needs a deep clean and a facelift. Many cob webs and very unorganized kitchen. The drawers were full of random things just thrown in. Lots of clutter and the garage was a disaster. No organizaton at all. The potential for it to be a fantastic rental is there, but doesn't seem like it's a priority. As a former owner of STR, I know how much work it is and how important it is to have good help if owners are unable/willing to maintain the property. The icing on the cake was that we read in the home's manual that we were responsible for taking the trash to a local sanitation upon completion of our stay. I have NEVER had to do that nor would I expect my guests to do that. Isn't that why you have a housekeeper/manager? Shouldn't that be a part of the expense of staying there? And what a gross way to end the trip!Thank goodness for the laughs, beautiful water, sun and back deck tho.
