Sea Breezes and Sunsets: Your Exquisite Pass-A-Grille Beach Getaway

We fell in love with Pass-a-Grille years ago, and know you will too. Be sure to check out our apartment as well #94363 - Blue Water ~ White Sand in addition to the bungalow (Sea Salt Bungalow). They share common outdoor spaces such as the garage, outdoor shower, grill, dining table, deck, Adirondack chairs and courtyard when they are both rented or we are in town.

'Savor the Sunsets, Relish the Pace' in our spacious, newly updated bungalow "Sea Salt Bungalow" is located on a quiet street with an attractive private entrance. The 2 BR / 1.5 Bath rental features a comfortable floor plan, abundant natural light and a landscaped courtyard with a large deck and gas grill. As new owners, we’ve invested in new furnishings, artwork, fixtures and soft goods to create a fresh, stylish mid-century décor. This 1500 sf residence has everything you’ll need, including fully equipped kitchen, all new bed linens and pillows, high-speed wi-fi, Alexa devices, televisions in both bedrooms and a 65” Ultra 4K television in the family room, each equipped with Netflix, Roku, and more. And while you are welcome to bring your small or mid-sized, well-behaved dog, all we ask of you is that you observe our strict no-party rule.

You’ll love the location – just 100 short steps to the powdery white sands, dunes and sea oats of beautiful Pass-a-Grille Beach on the shimmering Gulf of Mexico. Plus, a half-minute walk to Boca Ciega Bay and Pass-A-Grille Marina in the other direction. On the bay side, you can pick up freshly caught seafood at the fishing pier and grill it yourself or have a neighboring restaurant prepare it to order. From here you can head out on a sunset/dolphin watch cruise or deep-sea fishing trip, take a speedboat for a spin, rent a kayak, go on a shell cruise or dine at a dozen eateries. Some of our favorites include Gennaro’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, Sea Critter’s Seafood and upscale options such as Dewey’s at the Berkley Beach Club and Grace. Of course, you won’t want to miss the southern inspired breakfast at Sea Horse.

Pass-a-Grille is a laidback low-rise beach community whose stunning beaches, authentic Old Florida charm and spectacular sunsets create the ideal setting for your deeply relaxing vacation. Shed your worries while doing absolutely nothing or sample the town’s many restaurants; browse its boutiques, local gallery, outdoor art market, and toast the sunset on the Hurricane Restaurant’s rooftop deck – all within walking distance. Want a change of pace? It’s just 20 minutes to downtown St. Petersburg, where you’ll find a wealth of cultural attractions, activities, eateries and bars. Getting to Pass-a-Grille is a breeze – just 40 minutes from Tampa International Airport and 30 minutes from St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport.

(Ask about Concierge Services to make your arrival and stay even brighter: grocery shopping in advance of your arrival, extra cleaning during your stay, pet walking or sitting, and MORE.)

Hope to see you at Sunset!

Awesome home away from home!
Our stay at was wonderful! Mickey and Chris were awesome with communication and made everything easy. The home was spacious, clean, and cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. It was also super convenient to walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach. We loved it there and hope to come back soon. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful house and great location!
We so enjoyed our stay at this Pass-a-Grille bungalow. It had everything we needed and more. My husband and I live in the area. and we needed a ground-level place to accommodate us and my visiting elderly parents. We stayed two weeks at the house in the fall before full tourist season. We were fortunate enough to have the entire property - including patio, yard and garage - to ourselves as the apartment in back was not rented during our stay. We loved having coffee in the side yard and dinners on the deck in the sea air. The house comfortably accommodates two couples. There is one indoor shower/tub combo and a powder room adjoining the master bedroom. I also enjoyed the enclosed outdoor shower after a day on the beach. The beds were comfortable as was all the furniture. The house is tastefully appointed as a real home, not the typical beach tacky you sometimes find with beach rentals. It is also extremely quiet. Despite being across the alley from the fire station we never heard anything, not even a voice or car. The enclosed sunroom was an added bonus. My stepmom enjoyed reading and taking afternoon naps there. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. When we didn't cook, we ordered from nearby restaurants. Seafood and pizza were only a block away. Most days, we rolled the provided cart with our gear to the beach at the end of the block. We were lucky that our stay followed a storm, and we picked up tons of shells and sand dollars that had washed ashore. It was my first time ever finding a sand dollar washed up on Pass-a-Grille, and I've lived in the area for 25 years. Another plus to the location is that it's great for watching parasailing and kiteboarding as many boarders gravitate to that end of the beach. We look forward to returning.

About the host

Host profile image
Atlanta natives, Mickey & Michael are the new proprietors of this property. Having been regular renters of the previous owners for almost a decade, they jumped at the chance to become part-time residents of this mile and a half strip of paradise.

Why they chose this property

We first came to Pass-A-Grille in 1998 and immediately felt as if we'd stepped back in time. Our little town typifies the 'old Florida' feel. We call it 'Mayberry on the beach.' Everyone knows each other - from Andre the mailman, to Rebecca and Julie at the Salon, to Debbie at the Seahorse Restaurant, to Bruno the Turtle Man - it can take an hour to walk your dog just because of all the conversations with friends! On the other hand, we are minutes away from major league baseball, terrific museums and restaurants, and all the beach life you could want. We can be fishing in five minutes and setting off on our sailboat in ten. Every sunset is an art show and it's tough to beat the cornhole tournaments with a beer at the Paradise Grille. Life is pretty darn good.

What makes this property unique

The most pleasant by-product of staying in Pass-A-Grille and ‘passagrillebeachhouse’ is how your spirit finds quiet again. Walking the beach or the endlessly interesting alleys, a peace descends on you, washing away all your stress and worries. This is the Florida that many of us knew as children - beaches full of sea life, a convenience store, knotty pine tables at the local breakfast spot, nights so quiet you can hear the waves from a block away, and one and only one stoplight. Come and enjoy riding your bike down the middle of the street again!
