We really enjoyed our quick 2 night ski getaway. Check in process is at the base of the mountain and there is no parking so you have to be prepared to drop your stuff off at the lobby, go down to park and then take a shuttle back up. Overall not bad, but this was unexpected. Nothing the owners of the condo can control. VERY CLEAN! VERY NICE PLACE!!!Access to Sugar was very simple too - can take shuttle or walk and ski down a blue square.
Our family had a great trip! The unit had everything we needed, was super close to the ski slopes, and the pool was perfect for little kids. There are a few steps to check in, but it was worth it. We’ll definitely be back!
What a charming condo. The check in process was smooth, even as a late arrival. The view was amazing overlooking the ski slopes at Sugar Mountain. It was clean. There were plenty of kitchen items to prepare our own meals. The location was close to everything. We had a great experience!
Cozy atmosphere with beautiful decorations that were enhanced by the amazing view of Sugar Mtn Ski Resort. We enjoyed our week tremendously but disappointed that the in-room washer & dryer were not available for guests and fireplace gas logs could not be used. We felt this was a big selling point for us for this condo & we’re disappointed that we did not have these available for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked as well as the bathrooms for our week. We slept wonderfully and enjoyed the quiet room in the corner. We loved our stay and appreciate all the details to make it cozy and inviting to guests.
Check-in and check-out was super easy. Unit was a great representation of the photos, modern & CLEAN! Only suggestion is to provide additional towels (only 6 were provided), pool towels so we didn't have to bring our own, paper towels, & more than 3 garbage bags for the kitchen. Coffee, tea, & hot chocolate set up was very nice but ran out of coffee by day 2 or 3. We did have issues with the shuttle at Sugar Top, which was our biggest concern when booking. Shuttle was shut down for a few days due to low occupancy, so we had to shuttle our own guests back and forth from the guest parking lots to the top where the condominium is located. Not walkable. These were the only real issues we had. Would certainly book this condo again for the price and great view!
We had a great time in Sugar Mountain. This was a family vacation with our two boys to go skiing. The condo is beautiful and you can tell everything is new and up to date. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The living room was cozy, the couches are comfortable and had a nice cozy rug that was so soft! Smart tv’s in living room and both bedrooms are a plus! Loved all the hooks in the bathrooms and behind bedroom doors for hanging ski jackets, hats, bathing suits, etc. The coffee bar was a plus, I brought my own coffee but has everything you need if you forget. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub especially after a long day of skiing. I wish there was a washer/dryer just because I’m use to doing laundry while gone but it wasn’t a deal breaker. My only complaint was getting to the condo. There is only enough room for 5 cars at the top to load/unload then you have to park at a lower lot and be shuttled up. It’s not too bad but when everyone is trying to check in at the same time it makes for a long wait! However the views and location are so worth it! You can see the slopes/lifts from the condo. So nice to have the end condo facing the mountain and the sunsets are spectacular! This was a little piece of heaven!

The staff at Real Estate & Rentals were awesome - always willing to go above and beyond to assist in any way. I would most definitely rent from them again. Our condo was lovely - the little table top Christmas tree was the perfect touch. 2401 was well equipped, and beautifully decorated. Although I rented 4 condos for my family, 2401 was perfect and allowed plenty of room for our family of 14 to gather for meals and to play games. Sugar Top Resort is an older place, but it still provided a homey feel. My grands loved swimming in the heated pool. The only downside was the parking. We knew going into the rentals, that we'd be required to shuttle to and from the resort, however, the day of our arrival the shuttle broke, so the owners rented a 7 passenger van to take us to and from our vehicles. Being totally transparent, we understood that issues happen, but the lady who drove the van was always frustrated and voiced her negativity every time we got in the van. My family truly dreaded being shuttled to and from when she was driving. The staff working the desk were always professional, but there was a feeling in the air of them being frustrated too - especially with the shuttle situation. I feel the shuttle situation could be better solved if the owners of the resort would allow parking in the parking lot vs at the bottom of the hill. Perhaps charge an extra fee for those who wished to park in the lot. It seems like an easy fix. Check out on 1/1 was a chaotic mess to say the least because it had snowed and no one was permitted to bring their vehicles to the resort so we had to wait for the 7 passenger shuttle to haul us and all of our luggage down the mtn to our cars. Until the parking situation is fixed, my family and I will not rent from Sugar Mtn Resort again.
Cozy, relaxing, beautiful mountain views from sunrise to sunset! Comfy couches, fluffy area rugs, beautiful interior design! Close to shopping & restaurants. Great family memories were made here in this beautiful mountain condo!
Gorgeous mountain/valley views forever from the balcony on this property.
Mountain finishes make this condo blend in well with the surroundings. Stayed here for an early fall college football game in Boone and it was an ideal location for our group of 2 couples. Well equipped with comfortable furnishings.
Others have commented on having to use the shuttle for parking...it really was not a challenge for our weekend stay as it was always available throughout all hours of the day. Courteous drive and staff.
Would absolutely stay at this location again!
My wife, two teens, and I enjoyed a nice weekend in the mountains of NC. We escaped the hot summer temps and enjoyed the cool mountain air each evening. We visited Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and Beech Mountain during our stay. The unit was spotless and updated nicely. You can tell the owners take great care of this unit. I would recommend this place to friends and family.
Everyone we interacted with were awesome. The condo had an awesome view and we watched the fireworks from the balcony! It faced directly at the slope where they we’re launched. Amenities were awesome especially the coffee bar!
The place was exactly as described, even better than the pics. It really felt like our home away from home. The hot tub/pool area was a big hit with the kiddos and waking up in the clouds was quite wild! Overall, it truly is a rental gem! Oh, and the coffee bar was a great touch for mom and dad.
My only recommendation would be if you’re here for skiing, as we were, rent a locker as to not have to lug your gear back and forth. It would junk up the property and if it’s a weekend you’re dealing with the shuttle, etc. Also, there is no washer/dryer in unit, which wasn’t a big issue for us as we did laundry on the second to last night. The front desk will however give you quarters and you can cheaply purchase detergent from them as well.
We’d definitely stay again and Sugar Mountain as a whole time as an absolute blast! We’re already planning next years ski trip!

Good experience overall. Condo was clean and updated with nice decor. Great view of the slopes. Only down side was the wait to check in on property. It was a busy weekend and limited parking on top to unload. After long trip it was sorta a pain with 2 kids to wait for 30 mins for our 15 min turn. Afterwards you need to be shuttled to vehicle each time. Pool and hot tub was clean and kids enjoyed! Bring your own beach towel to enjoy pool. We were only given 4 towels for our family of 4 in the condo, additional towels for a charge. Would visit again.
