Escape from the noise and busy city to this relaxing, quiet town of Sapphire, NC!

Spend your days with our family oriented home and area, hit the numerous hiking trials, see the waterfalls and outdoor recreation. Within 45 minute drive, choose from 16 golf courses and access all that Sapphire Valley Resort amenities has to offer.
Spend your day at Fairfield Lake for kayaking, fishing, swimming, and boat rentals. Enjoy the indoor pool at the community center when weather is not ideal.
Grab your coffee and watch the sunrise on one of the 4 decks and soak in an amazing view of the mountains.

Stylish and Cozy Mountain Cabin

We liked comfort and aesthetics of the property and will definitely consider it for the next trip to the area. Owner is accommodating and provided tons for resources about things to do and places to eat. Note: if you travel with a pet, there is an extra charge that I've missed during the booking.

Great Getaway

We had a family of 6 and this home provided plenty of space, yet offered a cozy feel. Beautiful sunrises, clean and updated. Location is convenient to all the area has to offer.

Perfect mountain retreat

The hosts and the home are perfect. Every detail has been addressed to make the stay magnificent. From the elevator, which makes luggage a breeze, to the gourmet kitchen, to the beautiful fire pit for family gathering it is perfect. Many thanks for providing us with a fantastic family getaway.

A Gem of a Place in Sapphire

The view is amazing. We enjoyed many a sunset and sunrise. Was very clean, updated and well appointed. It feels like the owners did a great job anticipating the needs of their guests. Use of the recreation center was helpful and appreciated. Was near many beautiful hiking trails. Was near wonderful restaurants but the kitchen was easy to navigate and we enjoyed eating in as well. We cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner, no problem. We also enjoyed the fire pit, which was easy to use and appreciate how it was stocked with wood, starter, and even s’more skewers. :)

Spectacular home with breathtaking views!

This is a beautiful home located in a terrific mountain neighborhood (quiet area, paved roads and great for dog walking). The home was immaculately clean, nicely decorated with comfortable/updated furnishings. and has has everything you could possibly need. The views from the living room are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise over the mountains every morning was captivating. Lauren is extremely responsive and great to work with. I would definitely encourage you to book this home as you won't regret it.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful place

This modern cabin had everything just as listed in the property details. It is very comfortable for 2 or 3 families with children. The views from the cabin and the balconies are pristine, whether it's the mountain views or the bear cub family in the woods. The host was very helpful in answering all of our questions and had great recommendations for the surrounding areas. We miss the place already and will visit this cozy cabin again.

Great house and location with incredible views.

As a one time VRBO host and having staid in many rentals we would certainly state that this was one of the best. The house is very attractive both inside and out. It is exceptionally well appointed with necessity and few luxury items. Felt like home. Kitchen was clean, and had everything needed for our stay. The view from the front porches was spectacular with dining options on both porches with a gas grill. The ability to use the garage was a plus - although a large SUV or truck would not likely fit easily or at all. The house location was well suited to the use of the Fairfield Sapphire Master Association amenities (5-10 min drive). The area was quiet and neighbors friendly. Working with Lauren the property manager/owner was a pleasure. There are bears and dear in the area so one must be aware of the wild life and their interaction with humans - but it some ways it adds to the mountain ambience. Suitable for a family or several couples with good privacy options. Would easily rent this property again.

Charming stay in the Mountains

My family and I had a great time here for a long weekend getaway. The view from the house is amazing. The house was stocked with amenities and items to make your stay better. The pool, lake, and other same items are about a 10 minute drive, but not too far. Lauren was gracious to include our community/rec center passes! Would recommend to anyone

Great Mountain Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely mountain home! It is well laid out and organized, and the hosts provided very helpful instructions for lights, doors, trash, etc. Having one bedroom on each of the three levels was perfect for our family. The neighborhood is beautiful and walkable, and it was only about 10 minutes to Cashiers, grocery store, and great restaurant options.

Lovely House with "Great View!

This house was everything advertised and more. Nice, quiet neighborhood, high grade kitchen appliances, lots of privacy with bedrooms on 3 floors, elevator, well-stocked kitchen, gas fireplace for ambience and warmth, etc. They even provided walkie-talkies for easy communication on mountain roads with 2 cars. And the best thing may have been the view. I would definitely recommend this place.

Sapphire Valley home

This home is beautiful, comfortable, and immaculate! It was close to the Sapphire Valley ski resort and the amenities, which we took advantage of: game room and swimming pool. It was such a relaxing home, with beautiful mountains views. I liked that it wasn’t so secluded - there were homes nearby. The owners made our stay just wonderful! We look forward to returning!

Fun weekend with Friends

We had such a nice time at Bird's Eye Retreat. We were faced with snowy and icy roads upon arrival, but the neighborhood plows and salts the roads which was a great relief. The cabin was big enough for three families with toddlers to all enjoy comfortably. The views from the living room were spectacular and we saw deer daily. Would definitely come back again!

Awesome Place

I cannot say enough about this mountain home it was just fantastic. It exceeded all of my families expectations we were just blown away with how clean and how beautiful inside and out the property was. The homeowner had everything that we needed in the house and would reply if we needed anything right away she was fantastic. A Perfect Getaway

This property is in a perfect location! First, the surrounding landscape is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. Second, the house is spectacular! The interior is immaculate with modern decor and all the luxuries for a very comfortable stay. The exterior is creatively designed and in excellent condition. There is even a sharp fire pit where you can relax and enjoy the surrounding beauty. Lastly, the location is conveniently close to all of the indoor and outdoor activities that the local area has to offer. From cute little towns with great restaurants and shops to glorious hiking trails and lakes the choices are endless. Also included in the experience are quality amenities like indoor/outdoor pools, gym and arcade, so rain or shine, you will never be without something to do. This property is a 10 out of 10 with diverse activity options in all seasons and the ability to accommodate every aspect of anyone’s vacation desires. I highly recommend this property for everyone and kudos to the host for creating a wonderful experience on all fronts!

Exceptional experience with our stay!

We cannot say enough about our stay at this beautiful home in the mountains, it is a very relaxing and peaceful retreat. This home has a large great room with high ceilings and tall picture windows that allow you to wake up each morning to see the spectacular mountain sunrise, in addition it also has multiple balconies where you can sit and simply enjoy all the sounds of nature. The home owners definitely paid attention to every detail in this home to make sure their guests will be comfortable and their stay truly enjoyable. It is super clean and tastefully decorated and furnished with everything you will need. Even though it is located up in the mountains it is just minutes away to the nearby shops, restaurants and all the wonderful hiking trails, beautiful waterfalls and golf courses. We were able to see 5 waterfalls during our stay and visit some quaint mountain towns. There is so much to be able to do in this area and the views are breathtaking. We would highly recommend staying here, we have never visited NC before and we certainly look forward to an opportunity to come back and rent this home again!
