Perfect Retreat!

Beautiful house with large, well-equipped kitchen, dining and living areas and 2 large bedrooms. Perfect for 2 couples /- 2 kids. Very comfortable and convenient! There were even a few games, which we really enjoy! The host, Pam, is very responsive. We would come back!

Fantastic Stay at a Beautiful Lake House

We had an amazing time staying at this lovely lake house! The house was well-maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The quiet and peaceful area provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. We were also lucky enough to have great weather, which allowed us to fully enjoy the surroundings. The only thing we wished for was an outdoor grill, as it would have been great for enjoying meals outside. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we’d love to return again in the future!

Fantastic Lake Stay

Just as described in their listing, this beautiful home on the lake was a perfect spot for our small family to enjoy a peaceful getaway. We loved the natural surroundings of the lake spot and spent the majority of our stay in the water and enjoying quiet hikes nearby. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy this quiet place. The house had all the amenities described and was very comfortable.

Ask about lake levels

Great property, very clean, beautiful view from windows in living room. If you plan on swimming from the dock or bringing your boat, make sure and ask about lake levels (or do your own research before you arrive) as the lake water level was so low when we went, the dock was not even in the water. Obviously no fault to the owner, but would be good to know before arriving to set expectations.

Kerr lake

Overall we had a wonderful time on the lake. The house needs some thorough maintenance as in fridge cleaning, gutters and the rotting smell which seemed to come from the garage or shrub area. And it needs a grill! We'd stay again but would be better prepared.

PERFECT SPOT

House is lovely and inviting, just like the pictures. The entrance stairs are a little steep, but manageable. Very spacious, open and comfortable. Great place to spend relaxing. Close access to several state recreation areas for boat ramp. Quaint country store about 3 miles from the house with good food and milk shakes. Will definitely be going back.

Hidden Gem!!

This vacation home blew my expectations out of the water!! House was stunning. I was in complete shock once I stepped into this home. The bed was by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the sheets and comforter were so soft and comfortable I had to look at the tag so I could order some for our own home!! The location is perfect right across from the boat ramp. We took our boat and the private dock was a big bonus !! The water was a bit high so we had to get our feet wet to get to the dock but it was fine did not make any difference! Be ware of snakes we did see one venous one that appeared to have just hatched so if your not native this type of area be sure to talk with your little ones about snakes so they don’t try and touch them. This is totally normal in NC this time of the year. We will definitely be back with our children!! Host was amazing, communication was easy and answered any questions! This is the best house I have ever rented off this site!

A beautiful home with a beautiful view of the lake. Very clean and comfortable. We had an amazing time visiting wineries and Occoneechee State Park all just about 30 minutes from the house. We will definitely book this property again.

Beautiful Home to rent with private dock!

Beautiful nice spacious home within 100 yards of a private dock. Love the view from the living area looking down on the lake. The master bed was very comfortable and had a tv. Downstairs bedroom has 3 beds but no tv. Our son slept in the living room since he prefers to watch tv at night. Had a lot of kitchen appliances for cooking. Could have used extra towels and wash cloths but we ended up washing a load while we were there since there was already a load of laundry in the washer and dryer so it worked out. Floors needed vacuumed prior to arrival. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Fire pit area is nice but we did not have time to use it as we spent most of our time on the lake. Would definitely stay here again.

Fall trip

This was our second stay at this property. Last time was in the spring, and we really enjoyed it. Came back in the fall and were not disappointed! Catfishing from the bank was good and the house is very comfortable. We will probably be back!

Peaceful retreat

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving getaway at this property. We cooked several meals and enjoyed the open floor layout, perfect for gathering around the table and kitchen to talk and eat. The views of the lake from the living room were very nice. We even had a chance to get a few hours of fishing in from the dock and sandy beach. Overall, great stay!

The house was spotless a beautifully decorated. The kitchen is stocked with pretty much anything you need for cooking. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Did a little kayaking and fishing off of the dock. Would definitely stay again.

Very relaxing!

We brought inner tube rafts with us and it was so relaxing just floating in the water. We went to Lake Kerr dam and went boy the visitor center. We come back to stay again.

Lake Retreat

Had a wonderful time on our trip! Pictures do not do the house justice! So beautiful inside! The dock is shared, so getting the boat in the last day was a bit of a challenge, but the water was wonderful! Kayaks were great for fishing around the area. Would absolutely stay here again!

We are a military family of 5 who visited the area several years ago and fell in love with the community and lake. We have traveled all over the world and are originally from the Northeast, but nothing beat the quiet country living of Kerr Lake and the surrounding area.

As a family who loves being outdoors, we enjoy boating, hiking, swimming, water sports, camping, and spending time together. This home has given us the opportunity to do all that and more- our true real life dream that we can share with others.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Kerr Lake due to its quiet serene landscape. Kerr Lake is one of the largest lakes in North Carolina however less overpopulated due to its building restrictions and desire to protect the surrounding wildlife. The clean blue waters are unique compared to most lakes. There is less boat traffic, and more serenity. You can literally enjoy the quiet and take in the surrounding nature and beauty of the lake. The property's location provides some of the best sunset views around.

You can literally catch HUGE catfish right from the dock. The property is located in a family friendly community, ideal for any lifestyle. The cove protects the dock and shoreline from rougher weather but provides deep water perfect for swimming and fishing.

What makes this property unique

If you enjoy peace and seclusion, this is the perfect property for you. Unlike other area surrounding lakes, Kerr Lake is for those who truly enjoy being outdoors and having a quiet place to relax. Some days out on the lake, you are the only one in sight for miles.

Without having to even leave the property, you can enjoy the full benefits of the lake by use of the dock or kayaks. The sunset views by the fire pit are a memory for a lifetime.
