The Cross Lake Maison 1 welcomes you. This cottage is located on 5.1 acres of land and has amazing views to offer. The 2 bedroom house is fancy with high-end amenities; such as heated tile flooring, bidets, toiletries, coffee station, wifi, TV, washer, dryer, gourmet kitchen with modern appliances and more. The yard has a long deck that allows for quiet walks along the lake, boarding a party barge and fishing. Additionally, a huge fenced playground for dogs. Events are not allowed without a $500 non refundable deposit. All events must be planned and approved 1 month in advance. An event is considered anything over 7 visitors. This property promotes relaxation and peace.

More info: The estate is like a small neighborhood with only 3 houses. Everyone has their own private areas and has access and views of the lake. It is extremely quiet, comfortable and safe. Sounds of nature are super relaxing. There is a floating deck for parking of boats. A huge dog playground, kennel dog beds, bowls, toys and more. Many have referred to this unique location as utopia, a slice of heaven and a destination place. There are outside propane heaters, BBQ pit and patio furniture. The pond in the front is clean and fully stocked with 3 types of fish.

Juanita's place looks exactly like the pictures! You were getting exactly what you're looking at online! We had our wedding day there and it couldn't have turned out more beautiful! Nice quiet private getaway

We really enjoyed the property - quiet and scenic. Unfortunately Shreveport lacked things to do for us. We found some good places to eat and enjoyed the time with friends. Recommend doing research on things to do to ensure they are really open when you plan to visit them.

VERY HELPFUL HOSTS

My wife is from Shreveport and her parents still live here. We got the call from my father-in-law that it was time to come say goodbye to my wife’s mom who had been on hospice with stage 4 cancer. She passed away while we were staying at this VRBO. The hosts were extremely considerate of our situation and showed great compassion in helping us navigate a few things during our stay. Perfect for me!

Very cozy, comfy bed, puppy friendly and excellent AC during this hot summer. Staying here made my daughter’s graduation and white coat ceremony so enjoyable. We were five hours from home; so this was our home away from home.

False advertisement

The property lawn is overgrown, it looks abandoned. Rotten trash left by the entry door and at the entry gate. The entry gate hangs askew. No communication from the property manager before arrival. I asked for an earlier check-in and was told I would be contacted once the housekeeping was done, this didn't happen. When I arrived, I was told the house was clean but not stocked. I said, "No problem ". The bedding had a chemical or perfume smell that gave me a headache. The patio area was useless, it had a wheelbarrow with old debris in it sitting amongst a pile of pillows, chairs, trash. The eves of the home are infested with wasps that were swooping in at you as you step outdoors. Not a relaxing or inviting setting, nor would I want to take a relaxing walk on the property. I had to leave, I was very uncomfortable.

Beautiful Property on Cross Lake

Unfortunately, this was only a one night stop for us. The house and lake were beautiful. Communication with the owner/host was good. We would definitely choose this again.

Driving to SF

Very nice home and property. Lake front is picturesque. Owners were very friendly. It’s a remote location, have to drive to restaurants.

Beautiful, quite and relaxing

The house was emasculate! And in a beautiful spot on the lake! I love the serenity of the location and just the right amount of secludedness. I wished there had been more kitchen items to use to cook, so I didn’t get to do my normal vacation meals; had to eat out everyday! That was a negative for me. But my overall stay was great! I would recommend this property to my family and friends.

Relaxing Holiday

We arrived to a sparkling clean property, walked on the pier, sat in rockers under pergola sipping a glass of wine. It was completely relaxing and quite. The next day we took a boat tour and enjoyed to beauty of Cross Lake and spent another quite evening playing cards. The beds were very comfortable. Fortunately we didn't need this - but the entire house is handicap accessible. I personally enjoyed the evening sounds of crickets and frogs from the lake. Host were very friendly and quick to answer any text messages

Beautiful house and great location

The house was just as beautiful as the pictures in the listing. The property is very quiet and in a nice area. Communication with the host was great and she got right back to me on questions I had during our stay. I highly recommend this property and we will be back!
