Stay in our Aptos cottage to connect with nature while working remotely, commuting, working locally, writing your novel, or a flexcation. If you are staying at our cottage for needed rest and tranquility, the beach is the best place to walk. Some perks: home office, wood burning fireplace, large smart TV's, elegant shower, laundry room, and external beach bathroom. Walk, run or bike to the beach or forest every day. Read a book from our large library or watch movies on the smart TV near the modern wood burning stove. Cook up a gourmet dinner on the ceramic glass cooktop. Put pure filtered water in your morning coffee. There is even a public golf course down the road. Lovely Beach House

Clean and cozy beach house. Very well appointed and just a few blocks from the beach. Nice decks for spending time on, and laundry facilities available, as well as beach chairs, boogie boards, games, books, an office nook, and wet bar, and even a guitar! Parking is a little tricky and the street is a bit busy because this is a popular area! Take a short walk to the beach or to Seacliff State Park. Very short drive to grocery stores, nice restaurants, and easy access to the freeway.

Best Rental; clean, comfortable and close to beach! Look no more!

This is one of the best rental experiences my wife and I have ever experienced. The family is so lovely to work with and they are so sweet and accommodating. We are a local Santa Cruz couple and we’re in the process of remodeling our home and of course due to the contractor issues it took longer; so we extended our stay six weeks. The owners were so accommodating to us, and so sensitive and compassionate. We loved living here and we loved spending our holidays here as well. The home has everything we needed and more; the bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for our adult children when they came to visit. We walked the beach every single morning, and every single night for the sunset. The neighbors are very nice and we felt safe in the neighborhood. There is the vacation rental behind the home and people came and went; but for the most part they were fine. It was a wonderful and ideal home to live for us for four months. We’ve even decorated with winter solstice lights and a tree because we were there over the holidays. It made me wish we had bought a home walkable near the beach in Aptos. We were lucky enough to live there before we lost the Sea Cliff Pier and so I have lots of photos that I took of sunsets with the pier. The communication with the owners were spot excellent. The family is people that we would like to be friends with.The home is lovely and has a sweet charm to it and the wi fi was great. Great front porch.

Great location close to beach

Fabulous location near to beach, golf and restaurants. Fully equipped and clean house with BBQ. Internet connection was very good and linking TV to streaming services was easy and seamless.

So charming!

I stayed here for 35 days and honestly enjoyed every part of this house. The upgrades to the bathrooms and kitchen were flawless. The house has so much charm. The neighbors were all very pleasant and I honestly felt as if I was at a home I could live in forever. Yonah was always quick to respond to questions and was just wonderful to deal with. I recommend this beautiful home for those looking to relax, find some peace and be walking distance to the beach. Simply fantastic.

Our families have been in Northern California since 1970, and we fell in love with Santa Cruz, Aptos and Monterey Bay. My wife is a UCSC graduate as well! We are employed full time in communal and pastoral work. We live part time in a studio above the garage.

The house was renovated over the last couple of years and is great for individuals, couples, or families. It's an amazing place to stay any time of year. Minimum rental period is 30 days.
