The Aspen House is located in a beautiful rural neighborhood and is surrounded by National Forest. It is just 9 miles to the West Entrance of Yellowstone, making it the perfect base for your vacation! The cabin has a bedroom with a king bed on the main floor, as well as a loft with a king bed. The sofa in the living room has a pull out bed, making it very comfortable for 6 adults to stay. There is only 1 bathroom, but it boasts an instant hot water heater which allows every guest to take a hot shower. The open kitchen is well equipped to cook your meals and there is a cooler for guests to use to pack a picnic for their daily adventures. Outside is complete with a deck and BBQ grill.
*Although 4 wheel drive is not required to get to the house, we definitely recommend it for our area from November - April, as road conditions are often "snowpacked and icy".

What a great place to stay , very clean and tidy when you enter , lovely comfy bed and plenty off extra blankets for cold snowy nights, The cabin has everything you require a BBQ outside Washing Machine and Dryer , small kitchen with dishwasher and plenty of utensils , plates cups etc , room heater which we needed and used everyday .The owner was so easy to deal with responded to my emails quickly .. Coming from Australia and trying to organise our stay was made so easy . Thankyou for a great stay
Overall, we had a great stay! This property is conveniently located about 10-15 miles from the West Yellowstone entrance, with plenty of amenities like gas stations and restaurants nearby. The only drawbacks were the single, small bathroom and the overgrown weeds and tall grasses surrounding the property. Some landscaping would have definitely improved our experience.
We really liked the location, near the west entrance of Yellowstone park, but on a quiet street. The property manager responded right away the few times we needed something.
Only giving 4 starts because we had little WiFi access our entire stay. It was very spotty and didn’t connect most of the time.
This cabin was perfect for our family! It was a great homebase after our outings and a nice place on our relaxed day. Close enough to West Yellowstone and the west enterance to Yellowstone, but far enough away that we could enjoy the quiet and nature. We would definitely stay here again!
The only negatives we encountered were out of anyones control- 1) the first night we were there it rained the whole evening, and because of that (we assumed), the internet couldnt keep up with streaming on the tv. We tried rebooting the router, that didnt work. Every other day/night, internet speeds were as expected. 2)The bathroom was on the small side. It wasnt unusable by any means, and it worked for us- however just a heads up for someone larger, or above average weight wise.
My wife and I took our first trip to Yellowstone and had an amazing trip. The location of the house was exactly what we were looking for with great views and close to town. Would highly recommend The Aspen house for anyone looking for a secluded property with a great homey vibe.

Cleanliness/communication
The property, itself, is very nice. The furniture is made of beautiful, sturdy wood and the atmosphere of the cabin is warming.
The things that will deter me from staying here on my next vacation are the following..the front of the refrigerator was filthy. It looked like someone splashed food on it and there were white fingerprints (like someone played in pancake batter and opened the fridge). There was no disinfectant spray or clorox wipes to clean it with so we used soap and water. The microwave was filthy on the outside as well as the inside. All of the silverware in the drawer had to be soaked in hot water before being run through the dishwasher to clean it thoroughly. We went to make fried eggs one morning and the skillet we were going to use was not clean and the carpets were not vacuumed before we got there.
I did try to inform the owners about the cleanliness issues before writing this review, but noone returned my call. I felt that if they were paying someone to clean for them that they should know they were being ripped off. The cabin is pretty expensive per night and for that I expected pristine living accommodations, not having to clean before staying!

Cabin on Bull Elk outside of West Yellowstone
Sheets weren't clean in downstairs bedroom. Need more lamps in bedrooms with more powerful lightbulbs. Netflix and Hulu continually cut out. We did see a female moose anfnher calf walk along side the cabin which was great!
Me encanto!
Muchas Gracias!
Property was perfect for a couple of quiet nights and a great starting point to enter the park. Kitchen had everything we needed and we loved cooking on the gas grill. Property was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Host was extremely responsive and property was exactly as described.
Would absolutely stay again!
Loved the location of this property, at the end of an isolated road, among the trees.
It was quaint, yet a perfect size for our family of five. We made the mistake of only staying two nights though! We wish we could have stayed longer. We spent more time in the cabin than we had originally planned because the park wore us out AND the house was such a great place to relax.
A little tight for the 6 of us. Hide a bed had to be fixed so we could use it for sleeping. Bathroom sink clogged so I plunged it out. Got immediate response from manager. Overall a good place to stay. I recommend it.
Great little spot with many nice little hikes in the woods and meadows nearby right outside the door. Very close to Yellowstone entrance and well-outfitted and clean. The children loved the cozy loft. Super nice to have a washer and dryer available as well.
Really amazing property manager helped resolve a booking issue on my end with grace and speed.
We stayed here while we toured Yellowstone. We specifically chose this cabin because of the location. It is at the very back of a neighborhood of cabins. The back deck looks out on Aspens, Pines, wild flowers and is so quiet. Please note that this cabin does NOT have AC but it is NOT needed. The evening and overnight temps are very crisp and open windows and the fans kept it very cool. We would stay again.
