We were in town for a long weekend so our boys could ski and the hubby and I enjoyed downtown Petoskey. This house was in a great location to just walk to shops and restaurants. It is an older house so it has some quirks but was perfect for what we needed. Clean and comfortable.
We love Petoskey. Traveled with our 1 year old and had all of the accommodations of home. Cam the host was very responsive. The property was very clean and well maintained. We were able to walk to wherever we wanted from the house. Would stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Little Bay Retreat. This smaller house can accommodate a good number of people, and it was very clean upon arrival. It's a few blocks north of the shops of the downtown area. The two TV's provide a variety of streaming services. My only recommendation would be to offer local cable TV.
Outstanding property. Location is ideal for downtown Petosky and is convenient for local ski resorts. Cam is a great host. Very responsive to questions. Would definitely stay here again in future.
Amazing location to walk downtown for great shopping and delicious food. The golf courses showcased some amazing fall color already and the wineries were top notch. Our favorite winery was Maple Moon. We will definitely stay here again. This home had so much personality and space.
This home was perfect for our family of 5 for nearly a week. The home is newly redone (fresh paint, carpet, floors) and was beautifully done. There was plenty of space for us to relax and not be on top of each other. Beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Kitchen has everything we needed to cook a couple of meals. Location could not be better - you can walk into town and to the waterfront in just a couple of minutes. The owner was responsive and friendly. We would definitely stay again!
We had the best stay and location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere downtown. Seamless check in. Host was great.

Dusty musty- disappointing
Received code for front door in the morning on day of reservation.
Host gave ideas for unloading of luggage, however, difficult to park car on driveway and get out safely with dangerous 5 foot drop off out the driver side door.
Picked up and appeared vacuumed, but terribly dusty baseboards and dusty old carpeting. Kitchen floor sticky. In general, it was not clean as some reviews had stated it was. No window covering in one bedroom window. No screen on one window so difficult to get fresh air. Questionable GFI outlet in bathroom. BEWARE for those who have dust allergies -I was sneezing and ill entire time while in the building.
JACK and Jill bathroom on second floor. Steep steps for our 83 year old guest.
Plenty of coffee and location was close to downtown eating and shops. Bed linens were soft and comfortable. We basically felt would could hack it for a few days, but we were extremely disappointed and spent as little time as possible in the building.

Property needs a lot work and repairs.
Petoskey is a great city and the location of this property is great for easy access to the city. But this property is in need of lots of repairs--missing light fixtures in both bedrooms, no cover on the kitchen light. Lots of light bulbs out or missing. Carpets were dirty-especially the stairs. Property was not landscaped or mowed--weeds and mulch running into the drive. Only one burner on the stove was working. I have stayed in many other VRBO properties around the US and this was by far one of the least cared for properties. I understand that items can get worn and a bit dated but all the missing lights and bulbs and overall disarray was not what I have experienced in the past nor what I expected. There was also a broken partially open light socket in the bathroom with no ground fault apparent. House was supposed large enough for 8 people. We had four bath towels, 3 hand towels and ONE face cloth (wash cloth). We were told there were extra linens in the closet--which was in total disarray. There were a few more bath towels but that was it. This house was by far the worse maintained house in a very lovely neighborhood. Lastly, the housekeeping was not what I have experienced with other VRBO properties--very disappointed to know what we were charged for cleaning and the house did not look clean--floors did not look moped, carpets did not look vacuumed, fixtures were stained--Very disappointing for such a great neighborhood and great little town.
We usually stay at the Perry, one block away, but they raised their prices. This little house was perfect for us and a lot more affordable. An opportunity would be to upgrade the toilet in the half bath. Outside of that, it worked well for our needs.

I stayed here with three friends for a couple nights. The property was easy to find, spacious, and very clean. We loved having a full-size fridge, microwave, and the option of using a Keurig (pods provided) or a full size auto-drip coffee pot. The beds were comfy, and the upstairs bathroom had a ton of counter space. With four of us, it was nice having a half bath on the ground floor, too. It's just a short walk into the downtown area or to the waterfront. There is a slight incline, though, which may pose some difficulty for people with mobility issues. Overall, we felt it was the perfect property and hope to book it again for next year's trip.
Very centrally located property for our visit to Petoskey. Walked all over, though the town was pretty much done by 10 pm. Unfortunately it was a few hot June days and the house has no air conditioning. In addition, almost all windows do not open. No air movement made for some pretty uncomfortable nights. Fans helped a little, but a couple window air conditioners in the bedrooms upstairs would be a very welcome addition. We would not stay here again if the forecast called for any warm days at all.
We loved the location of the house. We were able to walk to the shopping district in 5 minutes and we were able to walk down to the water in 5-10 minutes depending where you wanted to go. Highly recommend if you plan to access the social district. Definitely would stay again.
Great location, everything you need! Close to shopping, casino and restaurants! Older home but clean! Only bad thing is parking. One vehicle and if you have a bigger vehicle it is tight! Would stay here again anytime in the area. Owner was very quick to answer any questions. No issues while there so we didn’t contact him then.
