IF you have been hearing on the news that Short Term Rentals on Maui might be phased out beginning in 2025, NO WORRIES about booking at Sugar Brech Resort. We are located in a Country Zoned Hotel/Resort area. Only those in Apartment Zones are potentially going to be phased out.

Watch the sunrise over Haleakala or the whales in winter from our lanai. Stroll the five mile sandy beach, boogie board, wind surf or snorkel the reef out front. You could not ask for a better location than Sugar Beach Resort. As homeowners of this condo unit since 1997, and another non-rented unit at Sugar Beach Resort since 1988, we take great pride in our rental property. I personally inspect our unit when I visit Maui about every 2-3 months and update, replace inventory or make necessary improvements during each trip. Our cleaner is outstanding and has been with us for over 25 years. She knows the unit, as well as our expectations, so together we can assure you of its cleanliness, quality of furnishings and organization of contents. Beautiful Condo, Great Host
This was our 2nd stay at this condo. We couldn’t be more happy with the condo, our host Linda and Sugar Beach Resort. Linda had everything we needed in the condo. Just SPECTACULAR
I can not say enough about this property, location, and owner communication! It was exactly as described- and MORE! They had literally everything we needed, from spot clearer to Goo-Gone! It was shocking the amount of thought and details that were in place to ensure an amazing stay! We appreciated the Welcome Gift(S), the cleanliness, and amazing views (that were true to the photos)! The location was excellent as well! There was options to drive less than 30 mins to get to local beaches, and lots of spots within 10-15 mins that you can Lyft to! The next time we are in Maui- this is where we will stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sugar Beach is the place to stay
This property was so well stocked. You truly just need to bring your clothes and sunscreen. Everything is supplied from a fully stocked kitchen to beach supplies. Even a suitcase scale!! The property is wonderful and the pool is cleaned every morning.

10 Year Anniversary Trip 10/10
We LOVED our stay here! We wish we could have stayed much longer! Not a detail was overlooked. The unit was lovely and had everything we could have ever needed! Clean and tidy! We loved being right on the beach! It was so nice to walk the beach every morning and see the canoes rowing by, plus there was always an open chair for lounging under the palm trees! This unit also had a clear view of Haleakala’s summit! It was so cool to be able to see the observatory on all of the clear days we had! It was also a great location! Only about 15 minutes from the airport and so convenient to most of the Maui hot spots! The owner was a pleasure to deal with! Her responses were very quick and helpful, and she was very accommodating! She provided lots of information! Communication was fantastic from booking, leading up to the trip, during our stay, and even after we returned home! We would absolutely stay here again on future trips!

No ka 'oi (The best!) place to stay on Maui!
I’ve been to Maui a few times before - I usually stay on the west side but we chose Kihei this time because of its more central location and drier weather patterns. Sugar beach is absolutely stunning - soft sand, and grass areas to lounge. Right on the ocean, the condo is spectacular! Linda thinks of EVERYTHING prior to your stay. The condo is extremely clean. It’s stocked with coolers, beach chairs, swim noodles, umbrella, beach bags, charging stations etc! The bed and pillows are comfortable with very nice linens. The air conditioning/fan is quiet and comfortably efficient. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook and eat down at the beach. The balcony is amazing from sunrise to sunset. The pool, and amenities are great as well! Everything was just perfect! Communicating with Linda was a breeze as well. She was always available to ask questions and when I inquired about her having an iron there she encouraged me that “I didn’t need to iron anything while on Maui time” 😂 I, in fact, did not iron ANYTHING while at Sugar Beach. I wore the same three outfits over and over and laundered in between. Linda feels like a friend to me at this point - even sharing photos of our travels with her, and she sharing some of her beautiful photos with me. She is a blessing to anyone who crosses her path and I feel so grateful to have stayed in her condo and had the opportunity to enjoy Sugar Beach. Trust me, just book it! It’s perfect!

Getting out of the cold winter
What an awesome place Linda has at Sugar Beach Resort. She was so helpful with the whole process. The pictures do not given her unit justice. She has provided everything that you could imagine. There are spices, flour, sugar shampoo, conditioner, coffee, chairs for the beach and a cooler. There is not lacking of anything. It is supplied just like you lived there yourself. You really only need to bring your clothes, deodorant and toothpaste and toothbrushes. The grounds to the Sugar Beach Resort are great. We BBQ'd every night and met many people from all over the United States and Canada. We will be back, for longer next time. Thank you Linda for the wonderful Welcome Gift also. Mahalo!

Great condo in Kihei facing the beach and pool/hot tub area. I walked miles in bare feet along the beach every day. So relaxing! Condo was clean and the household supplies were plenty from Tupperware to toilet paper!

This condo was our home away from home for ten days. The Condo was clean and well cared for. Enjoyed breakfast and whale watching from the balcony. Paddle boarded with turtles and Manta rays just down from the resort. Host is amazing and very thoughtful supplied us with information on visiting the island along with a welcome gift basket. Condo is well stocked with many of the things you need. Beach chairs, extra beach towels, coolers, Beach umbrella. Kitchen is loaded with everything we needed as plates, silverware, coffee pot, salt and pepper. This place was amazing!! Thank you!!

Paradise Home Away From Home
I'm just going to skip right to it. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY HERE! This gorgeous condo was an absolute pleasure to stay at for our honeymoon. The place was clean, the appliances all felt new, the linens were fresh, and it was stocked with virtually everything you could need for your vacation! Need a cooler for the beach? It's got three! Want to bring along some beach chairs? They're included! Don't have shampoo/conditioner? Not a worry! The Lanai was perfect for sipping coffee and having breakfast in the mornings and watching the waves roll in and the clouds roll over Haleakala. We constantly felt taken care of during our stay, and we can tell Linda went the extra mile to make sure all her guests feel taken care of. Linda was a pleasure to communicate with and was always just a text away. She is a wealth of knowledge about Maui, so please don't hesitate to reach out to her with any questions you have! Our vacation on Maui in this condo was simply perfect, and I can't wait to return again.

This unit was perfect, and Sugar Beach Resort was the perfect property to stay at! Host Linda has provided absolutely everything you can think of in the condo - literally just pack your suitcase essentials. The resort itself is a perfect set up with the pool, lawn and beach just steps away from the condo front doors. There was always plenty of beach chairs available around the property. Sugar Beach Resort is also very close to numerous other beaches and locations you may visit during your stay in Maui, so a super convenient location overall. The condo was well appointed and the pillows/bed very comfortable. Would absolutely recommend this condo to friends/family!

Fantastic Stay
We had a wonderful time at Linda’s condo. This place has literally everything you could need for a vacation in Hawaii. EVERYTHING, from beach chairs to towels to every possible kitchen item you would ever need. Beautiful view of the beach, and the close beach access is incredible. You literally walk down your steps and the pool, hot tub, and beach are all right there. Linda was the perfect host and answered any and all questions we had immediately. We could not have asked for a better stay. Mahalo, Linda!

Perfection in Paridise!
This was our 3rd stay at Sugar Beach, so we were already familiar with the property. We love the fact that it's located right on a beautiful stretch of beach, has a great pool, and is centrally located on the island. This was our first stay in 401, and we couldn't have asked for anything more! The bed was super comfortable, the shower was great (even had a pole in the shower so you could hang up wet swimsuits), the kitchen was fully equipped. Owner was attentive to our every need!!

Perfect for our honeymoon!
My wife and I chose this place for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The condo is clean, comfortable, secure, and has nice decor and terrific views of the ocean and mountains. The kitchen, bathroom, closets, etc. are well stocked and professionally organized. The location is central with easy drives to Kihei, Wailea, Lahaina, Wailuku, the airport, and Paia. Sugar beach is steps away and one of the least crowded beaches we saw in Maui. The owner of the property is wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed before the trip, and then checked in with us throughout our stay. We couldn't have asked for anything more and would definitely stay here again.

Great Condo, great host
We had a great stay at Sugar Beach #401 in Kihei. We appreciated (and used) all the extras in this condo. The owner was very organized and responsive. We love being at Sugar Beach with the beach, pool, hot tub, and sunset views. We give this condo our highest recommendation. We hope to be back!
