About this property

Swinging Bridge Riverfront * EV Chrg* Fish *

*Swinging Bridge Cabin* is ON The Little River - escape to the Smokies without all the crowds! Close to all the action and plenty of activities. Just 1 mile from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and with river access 100 ft. from the front door, hike, bike, fish, tube, swim, or get some sun on the little beach w/o interacting much with others. If you feel like some action, explore Townsend, or venture just 30 min to Pigeon Forge/45 min to Gatlinburg. WiFi

This cabin is located in the heart of Townsend, TN. Townsend is a cute town in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains known for one of it's most iconic landmarks in the mountains known as Cade's Cove. The Little (not so little) River runs right through Townsend, making this a hot spot for trout fishing, tubing, kayaking, swimming, and more! Townsend has two swinging bridges that connect the town to the residential side, and one of the bridges connects right on this property! The bridge itself is public access and one of the attractions in the area, however, the public is not permitted on our property, which means private fishing, swimming, and tubing for you! Should you cross the bridge into town, you will find you are just one mile from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park a short enough distance to walk, run, ride, cycle, or drive to get there. Also located just on the other side of the bridge are The Abbey which is known for showcasing the finest local brewers craft beer and serving delicious food, Townsend Pancake House, Subway, and Smokin' Joes BBQ.

This cabin sits on 1.5 acres and you will have access to all of it, with the exception of the old barn. This parcel is part of a larger span of 5 acres and 3 houses total, one of which is also an overnight rental, and the 3rd one we live in. You will have exclusive access to the fire pit, this is not shared space, and you will have shared access to the private beach and 500' of river front for fishing/swimming/etc... Only our family and any other overnight guests from the second property would be using the shared private beach and river-front access.

Cozy and charming

The gas fire place and hot tub made our stay extra cozy and enjoyable. Our kids loved checking out the peacocks and goats on the property and the whole cabin was charming, clean and comfortable. Parker and Oz were great hosts and easy to communicate with.

Tranquility

Peaceful and quiet. The people that walked from across the bridge were courteous of our presence around the camp fire or playing in the river. Convenient walk across the bridge to several restaurants. Close to the entrance to the National Park with no Gatlinburg traffic jams.

Great little cabin by the river

Nice stay. Exactly as pictured. Really cute. House stocked with everything we needed. Very easy to get into the river and play or swim or fish. Short walk to The Abbey, Chocolate Bar, Pancake House, and Subway. Hot tub was super fun and clean. Would recommend for a family!

We are a family of 4 who love adventure and enjoy sharing some of our favorite places with you! From the ancient Smoky Mountains (did you know this mountain range is the 8th oldest in the WORLD?!), to the gorgeous white sands and glassy waters of the Florida Panhandle/Emerald Coast. Parker is an award-winning mortgage loan originator specializing in helping families start their short-term rental portfolios, while Oz is a "retired" Electronic Engineer, who now spends his days tirelessly working on each of our properties to keep them in great condition! Our daughter Taliesin who is headed to college has been involved in design and decor and our son Zolin who is still in high school just might be the one to answer your message or inquiry. We are emotionally attached to each of our properties (even though we aren't supposed to be lol) and we truly hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
