Weekend Getaway!

The location is perfect! The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The upstairs bath/shower was unusable - so a bummer that we all had to use 1 bathroom. It needs a little TLC…but once the fixes are addressed, it will be perfect!

Gorgeous spacious cabin

Beautiful cabin decor, well appointed, extra loft & huge bunk room upstairs. Drive is elevated & location out of cell range so communication with others is limited to being in town.

Family getaway

This was a great spot to take our family and dogs! Fun spots to walk and beautiful views. It was easygoing to relax and unplug. We had what we needed to make meals, but I wish it was better equipped to do dishes and clean. The power went out and the flashlights weren’t loaded with batteries. So it could be better equipped. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds

This cabin had the best equipped kitchen I've ever experienced in a rental. The beds were comfortable. However, we didn't find the furniture comfortable, and it is very crowded in the family room. Also, the lighting is not great, I prefer nice lamps around with soft light versus the glaring built-ins in the kitchen and the family room (the lamps they did have were very harsh and bright). We had good water pressure in the downstairs bathroom, but upstairs was just a mist. It took us a few days to get someone out to bring a new shower head, but after that it worked well. We never did get a code for the garage that worked...so we had to go through the house and down to the garage to open it after a day of skiing every day. We were booked for three weeks, which made the intermittent internet service problematic for my husband who was working from there half of the time. If you were only staying for a week it would probably be fine.

Do not stay here until Vacasa knows the property.

We traveled here and could not get into the property for hours because the codes for the doors were wrong, and then the batteries were dead on the electronic locks. There was a lock box with key but Vacasa did not know the code. VERY inconvenient when traveling with small children. We had to drive into Breck to go to the bathroom and feed them.

Not the best for a family getaway

The walls and floors were paper thin. We were under the impression there was a master bedroom with en-suite bath but there was not. Whatever kind of heat is in there….nice having heated floors…but the noise from the heater would be a deal breaker for staying there the next time. My husband and I stayed in one of the king rooms which obviously had some sort of heating unit in the closet. It ran all night long. The noise was enough to keep us up most of night. The next night we switch king rooms with our son and that bedroom was directly under the bedroom upstairs where we could hear our other son up and down and moving around all night long. The tv in the king room closest to the bathroom didn’t work. Property was nicely decorated. The couch had a hole on the back of it and refrigerator had one of the pull out drawers front cracked. Someone must have left it open and tried to close the main refrigerator door. Not a bad property but for the price, we wouldn’t be booking it again. The lack of sleep we got up there on a ski vacation was not acceptable.

Great Mountain Escape

Overall, the property was great and we loved the location. An important detail that was left out of the welcome email is there us no cell service starting about 10 minutes out and at the property. Once we got there, the lock code didn’t work and we couldn’t call the host for assistance. The door finally opened around 415 and the WiFi started working around 6pm. We wouldn’t have minded this if we were able to get into the property without issues. We had requested early check in but they replied that was not available due to the property managers getting the property ready. However, when we arrived at 350, the driveway was not plowed (nor was there any signs of someone having been there for hours), one of our guests vehicles got stuck and the stairs were not shoveled for arrival. Around 630 pm, a plow came by but since our cars were already in the driveway, it wasn’t much to plow. A little better communication for arrival expectations would’ve made this stay better. Overall, we enjoyed the weekend and the house was a great fit for our weekend escape.
