Julie and Willie were great hostess. The property is amazing and the grounds are gorgeous. We will definitely be contacting them to stay on our next visit to Mt Airy!!! Thanks for making our 33rd anniversary one we will remember. ❤️
The Inn was just as described and the Master Suite we stayed in was what exactly we were looking for …. Unique, private, comfortable, and affordable. Would definitely come again!
The home and room we stayed in are lovely and beautifully decorated but the listing stated that the room slept four and that was inaccurate. We pointed it out to the owner who plans to correct the problem. Communication was excellent and hosts were very responsive. They had warned us in advance that there would be a party with music on the property, which was true. We would recommend not booking this room on event nights as the music was quite loud. We do appreciate the candor of the host, however.
This property was very clean, neatly decorated and surrounded by beauty! It is located just a short distance from biking and hiking trails along with plenty of shopping and places to eat. The owners were prompt in communication, along with displaying a welcoming atmosphere.
Access to fresh water/ice was difficult to obtain because you have to contact the owner rather than just have it available in the room or freely walk to get it.
It would have been to nice to have extra coffee pods, creamer rather than just sugar and a few breakfast snacks like all other places we've stayed.
However, these small inconveniences will not keep us from returning or encouraging others to visit!
Our stay was quiet and very relaxing. This is what we were looking for. The Vintage Oat Estate is a venue place and we were lucky there was not a venue booked the evening we were there.
Thank you so much for opening your home. The master suite was just as described and was a restful place for the night. I highly recommend it and will stay here again, hopefully for a longer stay.
We met the owners at a local restaurant - just happened to sit doen next to them at the bar - Nice folks - told us about their place and gave us their card. We we travelling to MB, SC - we like to stop half way during our drive from Akron, OH to see the sights and visit some wineries/breweries. Tried to book last year for our return trip but ther was "no room at the Inn" - so we thought we would try agin this year. Nice place, beautiful grounds, the owner were very nice and communicative when we needed information.
Thank you both.

The hosts have put in a lot of hard work and dedication in renovating this estate and putting their own personal touches on it while still respecting it’s original beauty. We enjoyed our stay in the master suite.
Gorgeous, well maintained property. Property owners were SUPER friendly and open and responsive to all needs and questions. We wished we had reserved more nights! We will definitely recommend Vintage Oaks to friends and family.
Wonderful stay , country charm , kind of place that wraps its arms around you . Expect warm and cozy accommodations . If you enjoy being apart of something step into the Oaks for a memorable experience .
My husband and I have never gone through VRBO or stayed in a B&B or anyone’s home before, we’ve always just stayed in hotels. This was a wonderful change for us. Location was great and easy to find. The suite we stayed is was comfortable, peaceful, and all that we needed. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Great place if you need comfortable and quiet!

The Vintage Oak Estate was absolutely beautiful. Very quiet and so inviting. The Master Suite was absolutely stunning and the bed was very comfy. I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling in the Mt. Airy area. Very conveniently located to downtown Mt. Airy, shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay. If we are ever in that area again, we will be sure to stay here.
Beautiful room and location. We enjoyed a drink on the back porch with the lights on the event space. We really appreciate that the owners thank God for all He has given to them, and their desire to give back. Blessings to you!
What a wonderful and relaxing property! We loved staying at Vintage Oak Estate and felt right at home. The Willie and Julie were wonderful hosts and responded to us right away when we had questions. Mt Airy is adorable and we will definitely remember our relaxing time there.
Overall great experience! Cozy inn with antique touches. Owners were very nice and reachable. Only 10 min from downtown Mt. Airy. Extremely comfortable bed.
Only issue was some bugs on the inside by the windows - I’m assuming because of the cold weather.
Other than that, great stay!
Very beautiful property and comfortable stay. Came in for Mayberry Days and was a convenient location. Loved the bed linens...even ordered some for our house right after we left.

My husband and I are both Mount Airy, NC natives. Our family just moved into our new home in January 2021. My husband and I teach at the local high school and are Realtors as well. We have 3 wonderful children-Katlyn (25), Kaymen (18), and Ella K (1). My wife and I, along with Ella K live in the Inn. We love hosting and having guests over to our home, and we can't wait to meet you!
Why they chose this property

What makes this property unique
Mount Airy, NC is not your typical small town. We are the basis for the Mayberry culture that was portrayed on “The Andy Griffith Show.” We are a family-oriented town that is still living a slow-paced lifestyle. Our home is approximately 6 miles from the downtown area. Downtown Mount Airy has lots of tasty restaurants, Andy Griffith memorabilia shops & a museum, a candy store, a toy store, a couple of low-key breweries, an amphitheater, a retro movie theater, clothing boutiques, coffee shops, bakeries, and more! Check out the beautiful mountain scenery with a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The closest entrance to the parkway is about a 20-minute drive from the house. Being in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, there are lots of outdoor opportunities around Mount Airy. A few activities are hiking at Pilot Mountain, Hanging Rock, or Stone Mountain, kayaking along the Yadkin or Dan River, and visiting the Mount Airy parks or greenway. The local wineries are abundant as well: Round Peak Vineyards, Shelton Vineyards, Jolo Winery, Serre Vineyards, and so many more! There is something for everyone in Mount Airy, NC!
