About this property

Elk Ridge Lodge - Log Cabin with hot tub, big views, game room close to Ski

Welcome to Elk Ridge Lodge, where breathtaking panoramic mountain views await!

Perched above the charming town of Banner Elk, this spacious cabin offers stunning vistas and an inviting retreat for your mountain getaway. Step into the grand hall, where a striking stone chimney rises from the heart of the home. Cathedral ceilings and a wall of windows showcase the spectacular scenery, bringing the beauty of the outdoors inside. The lodge is decorated with impressive deer and elk mounts from Ted Turner's personal ranch, adding to its rustic charm.

The well-appointed kitchen features granite countertops, brand-new stainless steel appliances, and a spacious center island, perfect for meal prep. Guests can enjoy their favorite brew with both a Keurig and a standard coffee maker. The elegant dining table comfortably seats up to twelve.

The main-level king suite offers deck access, a private TV, and a luxurious ensuite bathroom, complete with a large jetted tub, a double granite vanity, and a custom-tiled shower.

Upstairs, two wings share a central bathroom with a double granite vanity and a combination tub/shower. One wing houses a second king bedroom with a TV and a Juliette balcony, while the other features a bedroom with two queen beds, a TV, and its own balcony.

The lower level provides additional accommodations, including two bedrooms that share a full bath. One room has two queen beds, while the other features two twin-over-full bunk beds—each with its own TV. The shared bathroom across the hall has been newly renovated with a tiled shower. This level also provides access to the converted garage, now a heated and cooled game room, complete with a ping pong table, foosball, and a large-screen TV with comfortable seating.

Outside, the expansive main-level deck offers space for the entire group to relax and take in the views. Rocking chairs provide the perfect spot to unwind, while a gas grill is ready for outdoor cooking. Gather around the gas fire table under the stars or follow the walkway to the covered hot tub for a soothing soak.

Experience the best of Banner Elk and the mountains at Elk Ridge Lodge!

A Great Family Getaway

This home was perfect for our family getaway. We had a wedding at Overlook Barn and this was a great home in a great location for our big group! Beautiful views and a new hot tub was enjoyed!

Great place to Stay

Beautiful views,Great location, plenty of room would be nice to have had a 4th bathroom. The only problem that we had with a family if 13. The trash build up pretty quick and the one thrash scan will not handle it. I would recommend this property to anyone interested in going to Banner Elk

Annual ski trip

This was our second annual ski trip to Beech mountain. The size of the house was great and accommodated our whole crew comfortably. It’s about a 5-10 minute drive to the ski resort - definitely not walking distance. The traffic can get pretty bad driving to the ski resort unless you wake up and leave early enough. Had some issues checking in and the indoor fireplace did not work and the ice machine was leaking from the freezer. Overall, we would stay here again but will also look for somewhere that is ski in ski out so we do not have to worry about commuting to the mountain.

Skiing with family

We had a wonderful time staying at Elk Lodge. We went with family for a ski trip and the house was great. It is a little hard to find the driveway, especially at night, although once you have your landmarks down you should be good to go. We were hoping the hot tub would have been installed by the time we stayed, but it clearly stated that may not be the case in the description. We were also a bit disappointed that the fire place did not work. It is a cozy living space and would have been a nice addition. The downstairs can get pretty cold at night, so take some extra blankets just in case. Overall, we had a great time and it is a beautiful house!!

House was nice. Property Management has opportunities

Would stay here again due to the house but would prefer better experience from Blue Ridge Rentals. Key code to house was not set as advised in emails. Had to call upon arrival to get correct key code. Trash from previous renters was left on front porch and took 2 days for property management to pick up. Gas fireplace wasn’t working. Snowed in and had to stay additional night as property management was delayed to plow. Eventually we had to shovel our way out to be able to leave. Again, property is great. But not sure we’ll stay at another property managed by Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals.
