Excellent

The place and views were wonderful. However, for the price you pay, they need better house keepers and beds. There were spider webs and cob webs all over the house and ceilings. The beds were awful and very old, you could feel every spring in the bed and very loud

Amazing views and spacious interior
Overall amazing place! The views over the Smokey Mountains are the best I’ve ever seen from a rental cabin! The winding steep gravel roads are passable, but in poor conditions would be near impossible to navigate without 4 or all-wheel drive vehicles. Master and main bedrooms beds are awful! Sunken in and worn out! Kitchen is large, appliances are nice but pots and pans are completely worn out and insufficient for anyone that likes to cook. Projection TV in the large downstairs was DOA! Was given 5 logs as a starter which is barely enough to light a fire in the fire place much less have a fire outside in the fire pit. Plan to bring several bundles of wood to do both! No liquid dish soap provided! Only a bottle of hand soap was in the kitchen for dish washing… dining room chairs were almost all broken under the seat supports causing very uncomfortable seating at meals. Over all and nice place but it needs some serious TLC!
We rented this property for a family vacation. The kitchen does not have adequate cooking supplies. All non stick pots/pans were unsafe to use due to extreme damage. Lots of dishes were chipped. Furniture has rips. Most of the beds are broken. The support under the beds are broken and you roll to the center. Cabinet doors are broken. Also one night we had a particularly bad storm. The next morning we discovered all windows facing out towards the view leaked. Also this property is managed by a rental company that post on VRBO. We booked this property a year in advance. I called, emailed and messaged the rental company 9 times total and never got a reply or call back. The rental company did respond when I called about the water intrusion and sent a contractor to look at the windows. We enjoyed our trip but will look elsewhere next time for a property.
We found the common spaces to be large and easily accommodated our larger group. Furniture, especially in the common spaces, was of good quality and condition. We found the kitchen to be amply supplied. The outside deck is very large and spacious, again able to accommodate a large group. Because the cabin faces due west, the covered porch on the side offered escape from the sun in the afternoon. The mountain views are outstanding.
We found the rental to be very clean upon arrival. Thanks to the cleaning crew. Having said that, the owner does need to do some minor maintenance, overhead light fixtures had bulbs burnt out, and globes needed cleaning.
On the less positive side, reviews I read before renting did note comments on the beds. I initially wrote that off. However, after staying there, I must strongly agree. Something does need to be done with the bedding, not just adding pillow tops.
The drive into this cabin is worth it for the views. But in 1 or 2 years at the most, the regrowth on the previously cleared lot will block those views because of the lack of trimming. There is a minor blockage now. We alternate annually between the beach and mountains. For me to consider this cabin in 2 years, I would need to know that those views were still there.
I realize this review is somewhat negative. But it is a great cabin, the owner just needs to maintain the things that make it great.
Once you get past the rediculous driveway, the views make it worth it. The cabin is beautiful. The views were amazing. The bedding and towels were very clean which is so important. The mattresses need to be replaced as it is impossible not to role to the inside of the bed. And the screened in porch is no longer screened in. The house while extremely beautiful, is needing refreshed. The areas around it were also gorgeous. We went white water rafting with little ones and it was perfect for them as it is low level white water. The trip was pretty fantastic though and besides a few small things the house was perfect. I would definitely recomend staying here.
Perfect property for a family holiday. Large, spacious and I can't imagine a property with a better view! Sunsets were AMAZING! The only reason I didn't give it a perfect rating is because some of the furnishings were damaged. This did not affect our stay, but should be taken care of. . careroperty management company aware. Otherwise, I highly recommend.
The property was amazing. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We were very impressed with the well stocked kitchen and abundance of deck furniture. The picnic table was a great place to play cards! The linens were clean and good quality. The rental company was amazing to work with and appreciated their attention to detail and communication. I cannot recommend the property or rental company enough!
My only recommendation is to add more garbage cans and update mattress’s in the bedrooms.
We enjoyed the cabin and my children loved the loft area. The views were breathtaking and we had a great time.
The only constructive criticism I have is the master bedroom could use a new mattress and the kitchen had an intense smell that we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Kitchen could use a good deep cleaning.
AWD equinox made it to the top without issue. The house was amazing. It was rainy but still absolutely beautiful. We built a fire inside and it was fabulous. The experience was really great overall. The only issue was a tiny coffee pot for such a huge house! It got a work out! The home is cozy and relaxing and felt so right for the soul! All the senses were happy. The guestbook seemed generic and not house specific. Check out was super easy. Overall the whole experience was great and would highly recommend!
a front wheel drive vehicle will not make the climb to the cabin. once at the cabin you are scraping the sky. wonderful cabin. amazing view. the best part is Kellie the property manager is super helpful if you have any issues.
