Amazing Raised Beach Cottage ON the Beach!

Recently remodeled beautiful unit with white marble floors, white/gray granite counter tops, sleeps 12-13 comfortably with 2 kings, 1 queen, 4 twin beds, plus a sofa sleeper! Stainless appliances, washer/dryer, 2 decks, tile floors, Internet ... all right on the beautiful white sandy beach ... just out your back door!

Great location

House was in a great location and beach was perfect and uncrowded! Overall the house was good! Only issues were some of the doors/gates and there were no “extras” such as sheets for the pull out couch/ blankets/pillows. Would definitely stay again!

Nice Place

We enjoyed our time but just note, there is no hot tub which is mentioned first thing under amenities and the cleanliness was definitely lacking. I did address this with the home owner so hopefully it will be better for the next guests that stay. Also this is a duplex not a single family home. Had I looked at the pictures better I would have known this but not nowhere in the description did it state that it was a duplex. This was not an issue but just thought we were paying for a single family home.

Breezy vacay

The overall property location was incredible we had access to the beach and it was pretty private visited the lagoon and caught hermit crabs, small stingray, and several small fish. There were five kids total so the loft room with the big king size bed was perfect for all them. It housed 2 families easily. There were a few small issues that didnt really affect overall experience. I had to text the owner to let her know that the sliding glass door would not slide and wouldnt close made the upstairs hot during the day. We tried to lock the door but it wouldnt close all the way. My only complaint was that no one came to fix it. There was also a large hole in the bunk loft room i let them know about. Last little annoyance was there was no vacuum it was hard getting all the sand up. Overall expereinece was awesome though.

Great location but dirty and only has 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths

House was located in great location. I appreciated that the house was pet-friendly although we ended up not bringing our dogs. One of the biggest issues for us is that the house was listed as a 4 bedroom/ 4 bath - however it is 3 bedrooms with 2 1/2 baths. The owner is considering a loft as a bedroom which it is not. The loft space contains only beds and is open to the bedroom below. No privacy. This may be fine for parents who are bringing their young children but that was not the case for us. We had to "share" our room with our adult son and significant other. Far from optimal or what we planned. Loft had only a little table in the room (no dresser or closet) and the legs were broken. Also may be important for some to know - there is no closet in the main bedroom on first floor. Only 2 1/2 bathrooms - not the 4 that are listed. Full bath on first floor. Second floor has Jack & Jill bathroom that share a shower. It was difficult coordinating shower time with 6 adults. The owner listed an outside shower as a bathroom!!?? The other BIG issue is that the house was very dirty. The cleaning company is alloted 6 hrs (from check out to the next check in). I'm not sure what is being done during that time. I spent several hours when we arrived, cleaning and vacuuming. NOT what I expected or wanted to do on my vacation. I wasn't confident that the beds were changed based on how it looked (sheets not pulled all the way up and looked wrinkled), therefore I also felt it necessary to wash the linens. Cabinets (kitchen and bath) were filthy inside. The temperature was also an issue. It was reading 68 but felt like 75. We discovered that the filter appeared as if it hadn't been changed in a very long time. Once we changed that - the cooling was good. I alerted the owner immediately of all the issues (the bedframe was also broke and the kitchen faucet was loose). While she, "thanked me" for cleaning, replacing filter, etc - never once was there an apology. She even acknowledged issues with her cleaning company. We have been very kind and gracious throughout this ordeal. I requested only that the cleaning fee be reimbursed (which seemed rather insignificant when considering all of the issues in addition to the time I spent cleaning). She then became unresponsive and has not acknowledged my messages.

I was not very happy to find that the house did not have 4 bathrooms like what was stated in the listing. Other then that it was a good vacation house and we enjoyed our time!

Beach Vacation

The beach house was right on the beach and exactly like advertised. The loft overlooks the master bedroom so it offers little privacy if you have a lot of people staying with you. We had plenty of room for what we needed. Loved that the house was right on the beach! The water was beautiful and clear while we were here. A few minor upgrades could be done to make the place a little nicer, but nothing wrong with anything. One bedroom could use a TV in it. Everyone had a great time. I loved that I could bring my two small fur babies!!

Family Vacation

We had a great time!!! We had plenty of room, everyone had plenty of room and it was very clean. Only suggestion is for a table with a umbrella to provide shade. Overall it was a great experience

Beautiful view

Right on the beach with an amazing view. Didn’t realize that the loft bedroom was open to the master bedroom with no privacy. Luckily(?) the little kids ended up not bring able to come. Also, be ready for a lot of stairs!

quick beach getaway

This property is in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle of condo's , but close to local restaurants and activities. Plenty of space for large families!!! We brought our 5 month old goldendoodle and she absolutely loved the sand dunes behind the house. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views from the deck. We are hoping to get the time to go back to this property soon!!! The owner was easy to communicate with too! The bottle of wine was an awesome welcome gift!! Thank you for a fun time

Great Gulf Shores Vacation

The property was just as described and very clean. It was right on the beach which is why my family and I go. With young children, it's nice to be right on the beach. We also found that there were restaurants and a convenience store in walking distance. My only criticism is a lack of silverware and the televisions. There were plenty of knives but only 5 spoons. The tv's in the bedrooms weren't connected to the internet which meant they didn't get any shows but I figured out how to connect them. Not a big deal and the place was great. We had a fantastic time.
