We loved everything about this home and the property! It was well-described in the listing and still exceeded our expectations! Communication with property manager was quick and clear. Kitchen equipment was great for our group. There are lots of places to be on one's own, and plenty of space for all to gather together to play games and share meals.
Just recently got back from a stay at this property. Had high expectations and they were exceeded. Nick, the owner, was refreshingly responsive, and made sure our stay went without a hitch. If you’re looking for a one of a kind property and have forgotten what the sound of silence is, this is your place.
Thanks again, Nick.
Nick's home was truly breathtaking! The views are spectacular and even better than advertised. The place was beautiful inside and out with lovely gardens and property. Very comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for! We truly enjoyed our stay and our communication with Nick was fantastic. We hope to be back some day and would highly recommend!
A bit of a drive to get there but if you’re looking for privacy and seclusion with AMAZING views, this is your house. Clean and very well stocked. Enjoyed time with family.
Absolutely amazing property. It's a bit off the beaten path, but you're not going to want to leave to go anywhere else. Excellent communication with Nick. Would highly recommend.
We had a magical weekend under the sun in the pool, under the sky by the fire, and relaxing with the incredible view of the hills and ocean. Central coast and all it has to offered is very accessible but the ranch is remote and peaceful. Best of all worlds. And the beds were very comfortable too.
Our family needed a reset vacation and this home definitely hit the mark. We were able to relax in peace and quiet with no one else around. Such a beautiful home and the property was amazing! We walked along the streams , we went swimming in the heated pool, enjoyed the spa, worked on puzzles, built fires, watched movies. And the views were breathtaking!Nick, the host was always available and very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be revisiting again!
Perfect property on a great private ranch.
House, itself and views are much better in person then in pictures . Pool area and landscaping are amazing
Owner is easy to reach when needed
His directions in book about house are short informative and appreciated
Definitely the best place to stay to get away from it all
Our stay was perfect. Nicholoas was extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. The house is beyond beautiful and comfortable and was super well stocked! Although the property was the most amazing part with insane views and cows mooing to wake you in the morning. It is tucked back a little far into the mountains but totally worth the extra drive. Hoping to come back for another stay!
The home is beyond lovely. Breathtaking views, beautiful garden, comfortable. Only negatives were house listed as 4 bedrooms yet one was not available and filled storage items. The pool was not cleaned prior to our arrival.
I would gladly stay again as the home and views really are amazing!
This was one of the most amazing properties we have ever stayed at. The home and the property was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The views were outstanding. Our entire family enjoyed the pool, the hot tub and even a night in for a homemade dinner and an evening of cards. It has everything you need and is still only a short drive from restaurants, beaches and shopping. We also met the caretaker and he was wonderful and kind and just a call away. And Nicholas was so responsive and provided info on everything we needed to make the stay easy and relaxing. We would stay again and would recommend to anyone. You will not be disappointed.
The ranch is magical and perfection, from the rolling hills scattered with cows to the views for miles. The house is beautiful with nice antique furniture, huge ceilings, plenty of room for gathering or peace and quiet. The house has everything needed for cooking which was really convenient to have access to blender, steamer, and plenty of dishes for a large group. The kids room even has stuffed animals and books for kids, they loved it! Pool toys were a huge help too. We brought most things we needed with us, but next time we will pack lighter! Can't say enough good things about this place and the immense gratitude for sharing the ranch with our group!
This was the perfect house for an unbelievable vacation. Every detail was exactly as they stated in the listing. Nick made every part of this seamless and efficient. We met Joe, the maintenance manager who lives nearby. Joe was awesome! I just cannot say enough about our stay. We had everything we could have possibly needed in this house. We just looked around every day and said “wow, did you see this? Beautiful.” The views are outstanding, the beds are comfortable, the pool and the hot tub are definitely a highlight and the cows added that extra layer of different and unique. We are already planning our next trip and can’t get back soon enough!
I chose that title because I just heard my wife say this to her friend, a couple of hours after returning from our 3-day stay. There were ten of us, ages 3 - 75. Communication was great from the beginning until the day we left. The house exceeded all expectations. You've probably read this before, but please trust me, the photos do not do it justice. Terrific place, amazing location. And, bonus ... we saw a rocket launch (from Vandenberg) on the way up, two sightings of the International Space Station, the lunar eclipse and shooting stars, not to mention abundant wildlife. It was the best birthday ever.
Breathtaking property, excellent house, well built and appointed
Stayed with family (parents in their 80's and siblings in 50's) over the holidays and could not have asked for a better experience. The property is truly exceptional with rolling hills, oak forests, cute goats and sheep, 100% privacy, and breathtaking views.
Home is very well stocked, thoughtfully appointed, well built and maintained with an excellent layout. Property manager is very responsive and great communication with the owner. Lovely people.
Note, it got unusually cool during our stay even for mid-winter (50's during the day and 30's at night) which made it tough to get the pool very warm even though the heating does run the full time. Keep the cover on the pool when not in use helps as does a swim after the hot tub. With that you'll be fine.
We've rent 50+ homes around the world for our vacations and this is easily one of the best.
Many thanks for a really magical stay and we can't wait to come back.
The house itself is spacious and well appointed. The backyard grounds were well kept but the front & side yard grounds seemed neglected; dead and empty pots and plots and overgrown plants. We arrived eager to sit by the fire pit & toast the sunset only to find the pit didn't work and did not work our entire stay. We were shocked to find the children's room was detached from the main house by a large courtyard and did not have a bathroom! The children had to walk across the large courtyard in the rain, fog and cold in the middle of the night to use a bathroom. Luckily we had brought air mattresses and sleeping bags and the spacious home provided alternate sleeping quarters. We were able to use a walk in closet and a sitting room between the bedrooms for alternate sleeping quarters for some children. The house sleeps ten yet the dining room table had only 8 mismatched low chairs for a high dining room table. There were nice places to gather and, a great fireplace, as well as the movie theatre. The pool and hot tub were great and we were pleasantly surprised to find the pool was heated. The onsite helper and Nick were easy to contact and responsive.
Very occasionally, when I rent a property, I fall completely in love with it at first sight. I fell head-over-heels for Beauty Springs Ranch. It was an extraordinary place to spend three nights in December 2021.
It is extraordinarily large. You are not just renting a house; you are renting an entire 320-acre ranch. It sprawls from an open, grassy ridgetop at elevation 1800’ down an oak-covered mountainside. One day I walked for ninety minutes and never even left the property.
It is extraordinarily beautiful. From the house on the mountainside you have a 180-degree panorama of mountains, ridges, and ocean.
It is extraordinarily secluded and private. From US 101 in Atascadero you drive for about twenty minutes up into the coastal mountains on winding two-lane roads. Eventually you reach the ridgetop and the gate to the ranch. Once inside the gate, you can immediacy see the expansive panorama you will enjoy — thousands of acres of natural beauty — but you cannot see a single house or road, other than your long driveway leading down from the ridge. When you arrive at the house you discover that you can in fact see one neighbor, but their house is 3/4 mile away.
It is extraordinarily quiet. For three days we heard no neighbors, no traffic, no car alarms, no barking dogs… just crickets and a few birds.
You will notice that I haven’t even mentioned the house yet. It’s spacious, tastefully furnished, and feels like a luxury villa with Spanish Mission-style decor. There are gorgeous views, toward the coast and along the ridge, from many rooms in the house and especially from a spectacular pool terrace. There is lovely landscaping and a Mediterranean garden with walking paths among flowering shrubs.
The two of us slept well on a comfortable bed in the master bedroom, and cooked our meals in the well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed looking at the Milky Way from the jacuzzi, but the pool temperature in December was 75 so we didn’t swim. (The owners are purchasing a pool cover which may help retain heat.)
But you can find plenty of beautiful houses to rent. What makes this one rare and extraordinary is the landscape, the panorama, and the ranch… a stunning ranch-in-the-sky where you can luxuriate in the unspoiled natural beauty surrounding you.
Beauty Springs Ranch is on a shortlist of my favorite places that I have ever stayed, and I am so glad that Nick and Janet are sharing it.
