Great location/Cozy home away from home

Cozy place to stay! My family and I truly enjoyed our visit. Just a few minute drive to Pigeon Forge with easy roads to navigate for outta towners like us. Also, it’s NOT hanging off the side of a cliff which is ideal for families with smaller kiddos. Clean and organized. The game room and jacuzzi are perfect to keep the kiddos entertained while at the house. We’ll be back!

Family stay for a birthday

Multi-Family of 7 who stayed for a week. Our girls were turning 10 so we took them both to spend some time together and check out a new city. Everyone loved the cabin and everything was comfortable. They enjoyed the bunk beds and the arcade games. We all liked the hot tub too. We made smores on the fire and also grilled food for dinner. We ended up purchasing our own grill and charcoal as we didn’t get a response when we asked if we could get propane for the grill that was provided. That was a slight disappointment. We had easy time driving the area. Short drive to visit Gatlinburg, Dollywood, and Laurel Falls where we visited. I had a mini panic moment when we arrived in the afternoon before the sun started setting and was trying to figure out how to open the door with the code. Thankfully I saved the info on my phones pictures for the code and instructions as the wifi wasn’t working yet and cell service was no good. I tried calling the number provided in case any assistance was needed and didn’t get to speak with anyone. It took a couple of tries and eventually we got in but it did take some patience and determination. We really enjoyed our time here and would likely come and stay again here.

Do not recommend.

Upon arrival there is no cabin book, you have to scan a QR code to access the WiFi code and cabin information. However, there is no service at the cabin to access the QR code. After unloading our party and all our things, I had to drive back up the mountain to find some service to just get the WiFi code. Even when I did get it, the WiFi was weak and spotty. The cabin is dirty. We found used, dirty utensils and dishes in the drawers and cabinets when we tried to make dinner the first night. Food was still on one of the spatulas from the previous guest. Dirty cups, silverware, etc. There was no hand soap or dishsoap in the kitchen to even clean anything. I contacted the owner but he didn’t get us any soap until the following day. The showers were filthy, the shower curtain liners are both moldy. There were bugs in the downstairs bathroom. No bath mats in either bathroom. Some of the towels were dirty and the shelves in that bathroom were filthy. One of the beds wasn’t made, so we had to do that. The bottom bunk bed isn’t a full mattress. There was trash in the downstairs bedroom and the blinds in there wouldn’t close to block out the light. Dust everywhere, lots of cobwebs. Something is wrong with the freezer, it needs to be serviced. I was so disappointed in the cabin. We’ve stayed in many VRBOs and not had an experience like this before. The kids enjoyed the arcade games and the hot tub was hot and clean. The cabin is in a good location to access Pigeon Forge.

The lodge was perfect for our group of 6! It was clean, exactly how described and even a better location that we anticipated. Justin and Kari were so responsive and great hosts. Would stay there again for sure!

Best Fall Break!!!

We absolutely loved it!!! The cabin is so warm and cozy. It had everything we needed and or wanted. It is very well furnished. We enjoyed the hot tub and porch swing. We made some of our best memories here. We are looking forward to our next visit and stay at Little Bear Cove.

Great location

I usually don’t do reviews but this place definitely deserved one. It was a perfect fit for our family. My husband and I plus our 15 month old came with my parents for the rod run. Plenty of room for all of us and the bedroom upstairs made it easier on them without having to go up and down the steps. The location was perfect for access to both pigeon forge and gatlinburg. Only being about 15 minutes away from the main strip in pigeon forge. And it is situated where you can go the opposite direction to avoid all the main traffic. My sister and her husband stopped by for a night and there was plenty of room for them as well. The cleanliness was well beyond what I anticipated. Not sure what cleaning company they use but they do amazing. All of the necessary appliances were there as well. There was also a baby gate in the closet which came VERY MUCH appreciated with the steps. The road getting there is a bit curvy but I have definitely seen much worse. Great communication with the owner as well, even though we had no issues so we didn’t need to contact him much anyway. The gaming table was a big hit with us. We didn’t use the hot tub so I can’t speak on that. It looked very clean though. It was just a bit too warm outside for us to use it. I will 100% be back for another visit.

Property is not cleaned and sanitized!!

Property needs to be deep cleaned prior to renting out. The property has bugs and bathrooms have mold and unclean. I have to specific which areas to clean which indicates there is no process or system in place.

Great family getaway

Nice home in a quiet neighborhood. We had one issue where the batteries died in the lock on the door and they were very helpful in helping us retrieve a key until they could have someone replace them and that was also very quick.

We love this cabin. It was clean and had everything we need. Check in and out was easy no problems at all. The home is in a great little neighborhood was easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. Will definitely stay in this cabin again.

Do NOT stay here if it may snow or the roads may freeze

I cannot recommend this cabin to anyone who is vacationing during the winter months. The first night we were supposed to stay at the cabin it snowed that day and the temperatures were in the 20s. The cabin was impossible to get to that night. The closest you could get to the cabin in these conditions is approximately 2 miles away. After driving 14 hours, we were forced to sleep in the truck. The next day we attempted to go back. We parked our vehicle 1.7 miles away from the cabin and had to walk the rest of the way with some of our clothes so we could get cleaned up and ready for the day. When we arrived at the cabin, the code for the door didn't work. We had to call so they could give us the combination to the key box so we could get into the cabin. Later that evening we were able to park about a half a mile away from the cabin and walk there. We saw several cars along this road who had to be assisted with tow trucks the first two days. We did inquire about a refund for our first night but we were told no. It is in their policy not to refund for weather. I feel like if a property is absolutely not accessible or if a host cannot get you to their property, they should be able to refund you the money for the night the property was absolutely not accessible. The property owner seems to only care about making money and does not truly care about the people staying at his property. If I knew when we were booking what I know now, I would have chosen a different property. In some of the generic emails we received about our stay it said how a five star review was important to the host but I cannot give a five star review when we received one star service. If you are looking at this property, I highly recommend you look elsewhere... I wish I had.

Cozy Mountain Cabin

This cabin was in a great location. Very convenient to everything. The cabin was very nice with mountain themed decorations. It had everything you need to cook and relax. The rooms were spacious and the fireplace was very nice. I would recommend for families and couples.

A Quick Weekend Away

Our family had an amazing time staying at the cabin. We had everything we needed. By far the cleanest and least dusty place that I’ve stayed at. The checkin process was seamless and the owner was easily available if needed.

Loved the cabin. Great get away enjoyed the hot tub

Great communication with Justin. Phone service was little disappointed but it was good to not be on my phone. It was a VACATION time to unwind. Loved the hot tub and loved cooking on the grill. Saw a bear the first night. My 18 year old son that is autistic enjoyed the hot tub and the bunk bed. We went to dolly stampede, Dollywood and the aquarium. Wish we had a couple more days though. The roads were very curvy but enjoyed seeing the leaves changing. Thank you Justin and Kari for a great vacation cabin 💕
