Was a good place to book for a few days but I wouldn’t see myself going back here. There was a musty smell that covered everything. In the upstairs the amount of spiders crawling around was horrendous. Other than that it was an alright stay.
This property was a great place to celebrate my daughter’s last hooray before here nuptials!! It was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go and all the places we wanted to see. We had a great time and highly recommended a stay in Traverse City. Our host was gracious 😊
My friends and I had a great time staying at this property! It was close to downtown, had everything we needed, and was very clean. Would definitely come back!
We stayed at this property for a weekend and had a really good experience. It was clean, comfortable, in a quiet location and easy access to restaurants and grocery stores. The property owner was also very easy to work with.
This location is perfect for us. It's in a quiet neighborhood in the east bay, close to our family, shopping, and the bus to downtown.
The stairs to the upper bedroom are a legacy from the past so be careful going up them the first time, but otherwise the house perfectly suited our needs and we were quite comfortable there.
Check in and out was easy peasy. Enjoyed having all of the amenities with multiple rooms and full bathrooms for a house full of adults. Everything was a short drive away and the neighborhood was calm and quiet. I am someone who is very very cautious over bedbugs and I can confidently say at the time of review, nothing suspicious had come up in my investigation before bringing items into the house. Would love to book again in the future!
Great place to stay !! Easy check in and check our. Well stocked with plates cups and cooking utensils. Just 10-15 minute drive to downtown.
Beds are super comfy!! One tv only in the living room.
Lots of room. They have a cool one bedroom upstairs. Home has one window ac unit in the living room. Works well to keep the living room and 2 bedrooms cool (leave doors open). The upstairs room has one window ac and works great !! I really enjoyed the home and the city !! The home is from the 1939 I think. They have done some great work to the home. Quite and sage neighborhood I will stay here again !!
I recommend that you take the self guided Audio tour of the M-22 lakeshore/sleeping near dunes tour

Not For Me
This rental is an old home, and the photos do not accurately reflect its condition. Key issues included a pervasive musty smell that lingered on clothes, an unusable oven due to lack of cleanliness, and several unusable pans with broken handles or corroded bottoms. Kitchen utensils were minimal, and the only spices provided were nearly empty dollar-store salt and pepper.
The first-level bathroom had a tub with black grime, and the upstairs toilet showed a dirty ring from insufficient cleaning. The stairs to the upper level are very narrow and steep, requiring sideways or tiptoe steps. The living room had only one accessible outlet (beneath the TV) and no lamps, leaving the ceiling light as the sole light source.
Positives: Communication was good, and the owner apologized for the oven issue, offering a 10% discount. The upper-level bedroom is spacious, and the bathroom has generous counter space, though the showerhead is quite low.
Despite the few positives, the numerous cleanliness and functionality issues made this stay disappointing, especially during Thanksgiving when I had to alter my plans due to the unusable oven and lack of basic kitchen essentials.
