Beautiful Log Cabin (House) minutes away from Townsend
We travelled from Missouri to our Son's wedding on Foothills Parkway. The house had everything we needed for our few days stay. Very clean and well maintained home. We are now trying to figure out an excuse to visit and stay here again.
The house was perfect for our family of eight. The king bunk bed unit was great for our daughter and her four children. There was plenty of room for the small children to be with her. The house was very spacious with the two levels plus the loft where the older children could go play on their electronics. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. Would definitely rent again. Quiet / secluded neighborhood. Low traffic area.
We rented this cabin for the Christmas holidays. It was decorated all for Christmas and better than advertised. Traveling to see family. We haven’t seen in a while and being able to all gather together. Made some wonderful memories. And the cabin space was a perfect place for us all to stay. Great location if you are looking for peace and quiet, but still close to all that the Smokies have to offer. Top of our list to stay again.
This property was perfect for our family of six adults and four teens. It was great space for eating and games as well spaces for those who wanted some quiet. The trips we made to visit the area were easily accessed. Dollywood, Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge made me think of Times Sq or Vegas—very loud and very bright. So nice to come back to Townsend to eat at the local restaurants.
Property owner Liz is very communicative. Liz promptly answers every random questions coming to our mind, which ease any uncertainty immediately. Check in and check out processes are smooth as they are clearly instructed. Utensils, plates, towels and blankets are adequately stocked and dishwashers and laundry machines are working fine. The Pool table also brings a lot of fun. Definitely 5 stars for our family’s stay for the July 4th holiday
Very nice for family vacation. Quiet area with good services but close to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge craziness and the tranquility of the park. Great communication with owner/manager.
Hosts are impeccable and very quick to respond with any questions that arose during our stay. They laid out the house rules clearly, to include very detailed check out procedures. The location is beautiful and the neighbors were very friendly! There was some retaining wall maintenance at the time of our visit and the contractor was very nice and changed his days he worked to not interrupt our stay. One note of improvement would been some small maintenance, tub drain wouldnt fully seal even after turning and depressing it in different ways and with 2 curious infants we did find that under the beds needed a good vacuuming but these are all extremely small things! I would absolutely recommend anyone who is visiting the area to consider this property away from the hustle and bustle of gaitlinburg while being just a short drive away!
Beautiful experience! We really enjoyed our stay in this amazing cabin. My family and I did not want to leave. If you have any issues, it is very easy to communicate with Desiree, she is awesome. Lovely Experience!!!
Very spacious property located just minutes from the entrance to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. The property has plenty of room to relax and upper and lower level decks overlooking the mountains. Townsend allows you to enjoy the peaceful side of the Smokies and one can still drive into Gatlinburg either via Pigeon Forge or the beautiful drive west entrance. Communication with the property owner was first class and very helpful with recommendations in the area. New towels, kitchen utensils, pots, pans, Keurig coffee maker---basically everything was brand new.
This is the perfect family getaway house. We loved the large kitchen and spent a lot of time in the living room and around the pool table. We loved drinking coffee on the huge back porch while looking out at the colorful leaves in on the other mountain top. Townsend is a cool little town that has plenty of places to eat and shop and Pigeon Forge is just a short drive. The Tuckaleechee Caverns is a must-do as it is so much better and bigger than Linville and Forbidden Caverns.
Great house, great host. We will be back.
