About this property

Cozy Cabin on Dewdrop Lake

Brand new furnace and smart thermometer!

Come explore beautiful Crosslake at Dewdrop cabin. Dewdrop Lake is private, only shared with 6 other residences, known for it's excellent fishing. Come to catch Crappies, Sunfish, Bass or Northern right off the dock, then use the fish house to prep and clean your catch. Enjoy beautiful cotton candy sunsets from the 171 feet of lakeshore or from the comfort of the large sectional overlooking the lake. Bring your boat and water toys for a day on the Whitefish chain, the boat ramp and public access for Cross Lake is just a short drive on the SW shore. After a day in the sun or snow, visit one of the many nearby bars and restaurants. The Wharf is only half a mile away and Downtown Crosslake is a ten minute drive.

Dewdrop Cabin is located on beautiful W Shore Drive in Crosslake. Step out your door and walk/run/bike along the paved pathway, trimmed with gorgeous Aspens. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, high speed internet, Roku TV on the bottom level and Nintendo 64 gaming system and DVD player upstairs. The two bedrooms on the lower level have a queen and double bed, the upstairs has 4 twin beds.

The historic cabin was built in the 1950's and still maintains original character evident in the knotty pine and moldings but with modern amenities such as a fully renovated bathroom. Round up your friends and family, fishing poles and water or snow toys and get to Crosslake to enjoy a one-of-a-kind lake experience!

Please note, no motorized vessels allowed on Dewdrop Lake.

There are two parking spots in the driveway, two cars fit in the garage and one the side yard off the driveway, as pictured. No parking on the street or in neighbors property at all. Violators will be towed at own expense.

Security: a surveillance camera will be active above the garage facing the driveway and right side of garage (boat parking sign).

Access to Dewdrop lake is down the path next to the fish house. Please be careful as the pathway may be slippery in icy conditions.

Awesome Getaway!

Our family of 4 + dog had a wonderful time here! Everything about the check in/out experience was very easy and the host was so quick to answer any questions we had! It is a very charming older cabin that has history behind it. The lake is so calm and peaceful - and full of fish! We had a great time on the water on the paddleboard, row boat and lily pad! We will definitely be returning!

Late summer getaway

Perfect location for our stay! Close to lots of fun and amenities, but in a very quiet neighborhood which felt nice and secluded. Dewdrop Lake is beautiful and clean. Highly recommended!

Convenient Location on Quaint Little Lake

We enjoyed our time staying here for the long Labor Day weekend with friends & family. The cabin was pretty accurate to what was advertised - however, there is no futon in the living room as pictured. Other than that, all was as expected. Dewdrop Lake is a small, peaceful lake which we enjoyed. Location is convenient to local spots around Crosslake. Cabin is right off the main road (walking path butts up to the lawn) so something to be aware of if you have pets/small children. It was a little snug with 8 adults (especially having 2 on a full bed), but I feel like it would be perfect for a family or two with kids. Overall we really enjoyed our time and appreciated that it was also pet-friendly. We would stay again, though with maybe one less person to make it a bit more comfortable!

Rustic charm with priceless view

A perfect little get away for my husband and me. We enjoy quaint cabins in the woods with lake views and quiet opportunities. Dewdrop Cabin did not disappoint us. There were just the two of us which was perfect. 3 adults would work (the second bedroom was big enough for just the bed), more than that would be a stretch. The upstairs room, although perhaps perfect for children, was quite hot. And with only one small bathroom in total, “7 guests” in the description is misleading. Although it has had some modern updates (AC, newer bathroom, Wi-Fi), the cabin is in need of some TLC. Original carpeting in front room was quite musty and the kitchen was not well-equipped or organized for all our meals. We loved our morning coffee overlooking the beautiful Dewdrop Lake and seeing the sunset after dinner. It was a peaceful escape with good fishing and a lovely walking trail right outside the door! A fun little gem in the woods.

Cute place

The property is cute and in a beautiful neighborhood. It was well stocked with kitchen, bath and bedroom items. However I would recommend the property only for a visit on the spring, summer or fall. The property does not have enough insulation for a winter visit. We were unable to use the large porch area for dining or games because it was way too cold. The heaters worked hard but were insufficient. Granted it was terribly cold the weekend we visited. However, I think guests would have the same issue in the winter at average winter temperatures too. Lovely place for a spring, summer or fall visit.

Summer Vacation

My family had the best time at Dewdrop Lake. The cabin has all the charm of an "up north" cabin, with plenty of thoughtful amenities. The children adored the upstairs, with a "secret" play area and plenty of space to spread out (3 children slept upstairs comfortably, easily could fit 4 kids). Dewdrop Lake is small, but the fishing was incredible. We haven't caught Panfish this big, since Mille Lacs or Lake Osakis. Easily over 50 (keeper) fish were caught in just a matter of a couple of hours. We caught those keepers using the boat provided by the cabin. We just rowed out to the middle of the lake and the fish were biting like crazy (sometimes even without bait, just dropping the hook in). We caught northern, bass, rockfish, and sunnies mostly. Our only complaint was that the fish house light was not working, making it a little difficult to finish cleaning those fish in the dark (thankfully we had flashlights and a lantern). The location couldn't have been more perfect. 5-minute drive to the nearest gas station and eateries. Lovely trail right in front of the home, perfect for walks, rollerblading, or biking. We couldn't have had a more beautiful summer vacation and we wish we could book the same week next year, but it is unavailable! Do not let the lake's size deter you--the serenity from sitting on the dock and enjoying nature is unbeatable here!

Labor Day getaway

This was a very pleasant long weekend. The view of the lake from the house was relaxing. There is easy access to tiny Dewdrop lake down a set of stairs.. There is no beach but the dock makes easy access to the water. Because of the small size of the lake, the water temperature was warm enough to swim despite an air temperature in the mid 60s. Both humans and dogs enjoyed our time in the water. We never saw another resident. Erika was a very attentive host. She responded to all my prearrival questions very quickly. We had everything we needed for a very nice stay.

Great cabin on cute little lake

The cabin was lovely and comfortable for two families of 4. The kids enjoyed having their own space upstairs, and the grown ups loved the view of the lake from the main level. The kitchen was well stocked and we utilized the charcoal grill. The lake has a lot of vegetation in shallower parts, so we rowed a flotilla of paddle boards, rafts, and the cabin’s lily pad to the middle of the lake, where we enjoyed swimming and playing in the beautiful clear water. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Would return!

Family Vacation 2022

We had a wonderful time at this charming little cabin. Super clean and we had everything we needed for a nice relaxing stay. Beautiful views of the lake and sunsets! Spent the days in the provided row boat or on our own paddle boards. Fishing was best in the evenings where we caught several, mostly Crappies, a few Perch, a small Northern and a small Bass. The paved path was great for long walks with the family. The only room for improvement would be the yard, not much room for games, but other than that it was a very nice experience. Thank you for the hospitality!

Dewdrop lake gem!

Subtle, but great cabin in a gorgeous area! Very clean and spacious, with excellent host. Dock is a bit sketchy, but lake is private and well stocked with fish. We caught a bunch of bass, sunfish, and a nice northern pike. Also has a nice grill area/patio. Very easy access to Cross lake as well. Love the cabin and would definitely stay again. #redchair

Great vacation

The cabin is nice and the fishing was great. The only things that would have made the place better would have been another bathroom and if the fire pit was on the same side as the patio furniture. All in all great place and would recommend if want to be on a private lake.

Wonderful

This cabin was amazing. From the moment we stepped in we felt right at home. The whole inside is very beautiful and spacey. We looked around and the upstairs is very cute and comfy our boys would have loved it. It was beautiful looking out the big window in the front room and if you were lucky the deer 🦌 came right by the window. The owners were wonderful they answered questions right away. We felt so much at home we are already talking about renting it next year at the same time.

Simple & Perfect

The view was so perfect out of the beautiful big windows overlooking the lake and towering pines ! The feeling of cozy up in a real cabin lasted until the minute we left. My teen boys fell in love with the hidden loft that led up to the "kids room" . The firepit was so enjoyable and it was so accommodating to have a bunch of firewood all ready and piled next to the pit. Our host was so sweet and helpful we felt well taken cae of and frankly.....a little spoiled. The location couldn't have been better either. It was an unforgettable stay thats for sure. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to indulge in a peaceful, aunthentic, & cozy cabin in the woods!
