Cozy Canal Cottage with water access to Homosassa River and the Gulf of Mexico

Put your fishing boat in the water at the Mason Creek Boat Ramp (one block away). Tie off at the back yard dock and take it easy at this clean, safe and secure getaway. This location is excellent for inshore fishing, a shallow draft boat is recommended for the back waters.
The Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, The Freezer Tiki Bar, MacRae's of Homosassa, Monkey Island, Etc. are all nearby.
This vacation cottage was completely remodeled and upgraded in 2023 including new cabinets, granite tops, appliances, etc. This pet friendly home offers a large fenced in front and back yard.
This is an entire waterfront home with both the living room and master bedrooms facing the scenic canal. Each bedroom boasts a comfortable queen sized bed and there is one full bathroom. The living room and both bedrooms all have smart TV's including some paid entertainment.
Also, there is ample parking in front of the house for your car, truck and boat trailer.

Convenient access to the water

We enjoyed the access via the canal out back to the flat water leading out to the Gulf. We launched our kayak right from the back yard, and there was a place to keep it under cover at night. The neighborhood was quiet and it seemed friendly- many of the neighbors would wave or say hi. The house was well equipped with paper products/ extra trash bags, plenty of dishes, towels, soap, etc... and a washer/dryer to dry swim suits or wash clothes. We did not have any problems with access to the location or the lock on the door and the host responded to any questions we had.

Cozy Canal

Very clean! Nice dock on the canal leading out to the Golf Of Mexico ! The Host was great answering questions and always answered messages quickly! We had a great time ! We will definitely be back!

Awesome Place

This was an awesome easy relaxing little place to stay on the canal of Homosassa River! We enjoyed the home amenities and took a stroll on the kayak and paddle board with the pups... Very relaxing and convenient to many restaurants!

Wonderful little getaway in Homosassa, FL

The check in process was a breeze. The place was super clean and spacious. My dogs enjoyed playing ball in the yard and chasing lizards. Plenty of room inside the fence to park the boat trailer. Very quiet neighborhood, yet close to everything.

Cozy Getaway

The home certainly is cozy. It is clean and very comfortable. The fenced in yard is a plus as well. Very close to awesome restaurants, marinas, shopping and more! We will definitely stay here again! Host was helpful and very responsive. Thank you!

Dog heaven

Our dogs were most excited being able to come along and having an entire fenced yard to roam free. The house is small and cozy (could use some decorating updates), but otherwise great. It was clean and perfect location!

Homasassa canal house

What a wonderful getaway! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in this comfortable canal home. With a beautiful weekend of weather, we saw dolphins and herons, egrets and otters in the surrounding waters we loved our stay. This home with a fully fenced yard was perfect for our pets. The kitchen is nicely equipped and we cooked everyday. The beds are comfy, the AC is cold and neighbors are friendly. Homasassa is a great Old Florida town with tons of fun things to do! Homeowner had good communication and extremely nice and helpful. Can’t wait to go back again.

This is our 2nd year at the same house. We love homosassa and will stay there again. Only problem was 2 tvs didn’t work till Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Great location in a beautiful town!

The property is perfect and the town is beautiful. There was one small issue that was not the ow wre fault in any way, just a bad lock thay was almost new. He was quick to respond and offered a solution right away. Now we want to move into the area!

Homosassa retreat

Staying in old Homosassa was the best decision we could have made. It was so quaint and homey. The property and location was superb. Being on the canal was very relaxing. The neighbors were so inviting and friendly. The only complaint we would have had was that the Wifi was sketchy which we realize is totally out of Jay's control as this seems to be a Homosassa issue. We will definitely be back 😊

I want to retire here 💙

This is the perfect spot. We go on 2 vacations a year and this was the overall favorite of mine. It was clean and had the best cooking items than any place we have ever rented. The backyard is perfect. I recommend not to try to go out from the dock at low tide. You really can't see the oyster beds no matter how slow ya go or hard you look. We did catch plenty of baby mangrove snapper, baby speckled trout, and catfish off the dock. I'm sure we will return.

Great location, Great house/Property

Perfect for the two of us. Old Homosassa is delightful, a bit of old Florida but close enough to "stuff". Good communication, comfy house, quiet neighborhood, great yard. We'll be back!

Great get away

We had a great time in Homosassa. This house was honestly more than I expected. The owners have done a great job of having things on hand at the house that you would not think about until needed, like a first aid kit. The kids did a little fishing off the deck but did not have much luck. We will probably be back.

Will stay here again

The property was great for my kids and dog. The house was a perfect size for us as well. The location is great. My son and his best friend were on the dock every single day. It was great being able to have our boat at the dock as well. However if someone who is unfamiliar with the waters in that area they could hit oyster beds. Luckily my husband and I frequent homosassa so we were able to avoid them. I will definitely look for this house the next time I want to rent one in Homosassa!

We find the location is perfect for us being located on the canal with a nice dock. It is also located in a safe and secluded neighborhood. The boat ramp is around the corner and great entertainment a golf cart ride away.
