Me and 7 of my buddies rented Tate’s VRBO for the weekend and it was a perfect place for us to hangout and just get together and a big group. Super close to stores and not that far of a drive from Duluth so we were able to do a lot of different things.
A great place to spend time with out of town family! The game room was a huge hit with kids and the living/eating/cooking space was quite nice and comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home. Tate was quick to respond to messages and easily answered a few of my questions. We would definitely stay here again!
A very lovely home. Very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and about everything else you would need. Nice back yard and very quiet and relaxing place. The host is very easy to contact and he replies back to you fast. I would stay there again. Enjoyed it a lot
We had a short reunion in Henrmantown. Henmantown exceeds what is in the description. Everything is TOP CLASS. Only Suggestion is to keep couple of blankets and sheets. we really liked the electric stove but needs stove top cleaner soap to maintain the spotlessness. Really it is a Home Away from Home.
It was a very nice property. However, a couple of things could have made it spectacular. A couple of more towels, freshly mowed lawn, extra pillows, an actual herb garden, chairs for high top on patio. Also, a little deceiving downstairs. The room was much smaller than what appeared in the pics. And it would've been nice iff all the video games were working. Overall, wonderful experience!
We had a great stay at the Hermantown Hangout. Everything we could need was there and we loved the house. It was a great place to hang out with family members and catch up. Tate was a great host and responsive to any questions that came up.
Quaint, convenient & cozy stay for a couple of nights while our boys were at football camp at UMD. Easy 10-15 min drive to campus/FB Field to watch their activities. Close to great restaurants and other “Duluthian” things to do too! All three bedrooms upstairs, 2 bedrooms good for couples, comfortable beds; other bedroom w/bunkbeds. Main floor with everything you need kind of kitchen, dining and living room. Both bathrooms, one up, one down, with good showers. Didn’t use the basement much, but had good washers/dryers. Nice, safe, private yard/deck area, lots of surrounding trees, as well! Very good, updated house. Thank you for everything!!
The Hermantown Hangout is definitely worth the stay! Very clean, updated, and somewhat secluded. Only complaint is it was a little further from Duluth than I have liked, but was expected when booking. Would stay again if I needed a house this big.
We loved staying at the Hermantown Hangout. It was the perfect place for us to relax and unwind after a day sightseeing and visiting family. We will definitely plan to stay there again the next tim we come to town. Thank you, Tate for the hospitality.
We had a great time with our family. The home is well equipped for cooking and has a great table to gather for meals and games.

This was the perfect stay for our family get away! Nate was a great host and the house was beautiful and comfortable!! Location was ideal, close to all the things, but quiet and remote.
Our Ladies group could not have been more pleased with our Hermantown Hangout accommodation. The online pictures just don't do it justice. When nine ladies agree on something good, your know you've got a winner. The property and house were spacious and meticulous. The decor was wonderful, soothing, and beautiful. The bathrooms were functional, bright, and roomy. The kitchen was very well appointed and cooking meals was easy. The dining room accommodated our group+ easily. The beds and couches were comfortable and plentiful. We had a few neighborhood daytime guests, including elementary school children, and the game room and yard were perfect places for the young ones to 'hangout.' Close to Duluth, it was a perfect place from which to launch our daytrip adventures. You just can't go wrong with this accommodation.
Praises! Praises! Praises!
We stayed at the Hermantown Hangout for four nights in August. The home was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was central for our plans. We visited waterfalls and the Apostle Islands in northern Wisconsin and near Duluth. We also traveled north of Duluth to Split rock Lighthouse. There were several great places to eat in the area. The house was in a quiet area. My granddaughters loved the games downstairs..
