The old Baker's house is a traditional stone built house in the center of the well known village Rakalj. It is the place where you find Istrian tradition, people welcome and beautiful nature in one place. The house was renovated in 2015 and it was built just by the old stone oven that was used for more than 300 years to bake traditional bread in this part of the village. The bread is still baked today as we have renovated the two ovens in 2013.
Our guests can access the house, a terrace, a little garden and the fenced area of the heritage gallery and bakery that is just over the wall. We are at your service all the time during your stay. We provide may sport and leisure activities, give you tips for what to do and host you as our friends.
The village is known for its great beaches where you can find your own private spot, humble and friendly people willing to help you at any time, great food and many things to do in the area. In the past it was a most popular place in Istria for pottery, architecture stone, maritime activity and agriculture.
We provide you one parking space in front with an option to park several vehicles (4-5) just 30 meters from the house.
The local bus drives from and to the village twice a day. We have an option to rent you bikes, ATV, scooter, car, van, and organize almost any sport and recreational activity.
